  1. Apparently the message to play fearless was to the whole team. I was under the impression he spoke to josh and said that to him.
  2. 'Move the ball, score field goals.'
  3. 'Still waiting for Allen to hit a long ball??.. Geico—15 minutes could save you 15% or more on car insurance.”
  4. Yeah. The 4th downs were quite fearless but not the last s**tshow drive.
  5. Picks with Allen don't bother me if the rest outweighs it. So far it hasn't. I haven't seen him look consistently good in game with some mistakes in there. If this was the case I'd be OK with it. If he makes consistent plays with some picks because he's trying things, so be it. Fumbles are more of a concern, as is his lack of command and consistency on the field.
  6. Let's see if all this fearless talk makes a difference to Allen on Sunday. Talk is cheap.
  7. Let's hope he doesn't fumble that
  8. No. If Beane/Mcd have reservations about Allen draft a QB somewhere as an insurance policy. I couldn't imagine it would be a 1st rounder at this point. That's bound to be a WR.
  9. Absolutely. Would have made a difference to the perception of allen though I think. He does it again in the 4th qtr after a poor game.
  10. Well definatley got the right josh anyway.
  11. Yeah I remember that whole episode. Mcdermott definitely speaking with schopp off air. Schopp gets alot of flak. I find him somewhat arrogant but good at what he does, he isn't agreeable.
  12. Browns game was bad for McDermott. I'm 0-20 allen because I'm not seeing the presence in this seasons games 20-40 mcd because of the winning record
  13. Yes I do think that developing Allen and winning games will not always go together. Its tricky. Picks are less an issue for me then the fumbles. If Allen connects to brown and the bills make the FG this whole perception of Allen changes. Esp if the bills won.
  14. Just watched the browns highlights. Less running from allen than the Dolphins game which I think is good (I think you have to see what you have in him as an 80% passer). Good throws in there, he throws well over the middle. The disappointment of the game tends to go a few days later and you see what's looks like a decent QB in the highlights. The disappointment of continual falling drives and lack of 3rd down conversions was frustrating in the game. Highlights do show potential but the game context is taken away. I thought he was less confident in the browns game compared with how he was in that Dolphins game last year. I don't want it to be the case that the bigger pressure game he is worse in. The Dolphins game last year was not a pressure game in fairness.
  15. Just watched the Dolphins highlights last year. Allen does look good there. There was a comment here saying they want the old josh back. Lots of running in that game from allen, I always see him play better when he runs AS well as passes. Some good catches from zay Jones in there aswell. Shock. All in all a real lack of consistency.
  16. That mark on Allen's nose, will it go when he hits a deep ball?
  17. Yep. who suddenly GOT IT and erased their deficiencies?
  18. I can see the accuracy issues. I know he scored high in the wonderlic test. I don't know how football intelligent he is, he seems more of an instinctive Tyrod/ Newton player to me than a manning/Brady type in terms of his football intelligence.. More athletic than cerebral on the field.
  19. Yeah. Surely there will be one full game where he will click, wishful thinking but you would think it's possible.
  20. There's an interesting thing with Mcdermott that somehow as a leader he listens. Not sure if players aired their thoughts but I think it's a good message, especially for allen. Best thing for Allen is that he can throw a few picks without being condemned. Not necessarily the best for the teams score but I think it's the best message for Allen's development to trust himself.
