I've never played nfl but played uk/us pool to a reasonable level. When the game matters, if I'm not in the right mindset I'm overhitting everything and feeling like I'm not even hitting it. Weird

And please I hope you're not calling the two times he missed Knox as "easy throws". Particularly the 2nd one in the end zone which was the type of play that looks open but can end in an INT if the pass isn't perfectly thrown. Sure, they were make-able throws but NOT easy throws. Just thinking about this part of your text and about this one play. Been listening to the billievers talk podcast, never tuned into that before.. His opinion of the knox endzone throw was that he was 'open, not just nfl open'. I disagree about you saying it looks open. There's a short window there that is open but not for long, I remember thinking this when watching the game. You are saying at some times in your other posts than Allen lazers it into small windows which you find impressive, then acknowledge perhaps that it would of been nice him doing that here on a big play? If I'm not mistaken the announcer said something eluding to him being open on that play aswell. So it comes down to a subjective interpretation of what are 'easy' throws are, and what 'open' throws are. We can debate the terms but it's interesting to hear different opinions and about throws from allen who I've heard several people say can 'make all the throws.' Let's be honest here, this is also the kind of play that if he throws a pick its not the end of world, unfortunately he threw it high when knox couldn't get it. Look I know why he would err on the side of throwing it high but that's one as MCD says he 'would want back' I think. I'm not sure if the consensus is that through his development Allen would be expected to hit that throw in the future.

Haha takes ages to write like that on my phone as it corrects it

Tyrod was ok.

Yes a good thing. Fair enough! Only thing I will say is I don't think he's always consciously tried to overthrow receivers. I do think that can play in yeah but sometimes I think it's a combination of his arm strength and adrenaline at seeing an open receiver making him overthrow. He's a compelling player as he's an emotional person playing a position where being unemotional can arguably help you more.

If you married kirk cousins cousin, you wouldn't be cousins with kirk cousins right? -
I think he's shying a way a bit more than he was, he's a bit more cautious. Hence the lower picks.

Allen slammed on ESPN

Just something to mention.. There is generally a change of belief in allen I sense from this game. Even if you believed in him before, the long pass was missing. I feel like people feel more sure of him now after the Pats game. He hit a couple of deep balls in this game which we're a big thing and was an arguement against him beforehand. Before this game he hadn't hit these with alot of regularity as we all know so that was form of monkey off his back. It's a big thing to hit those and it was great to see. -
Allen's done some great things and is really exciting to watch. There are times when the easy throws are harder for him. It's when he is 'jittery' as he mentioned in his presser. Where are the objective posters (critizing me for example, which is fine) but then not mentioning that he has said he is nervous in pressers. Sure he's human and I like the guy but that is a concern! Someone else summed it up well when they said that, at times, Allen has a tendency to make the easy throws look difficult and the difficult throws look easy.

This is interesting. Why do you think they should move on from allen now?

This is the guy who turned up to training camp in an armoured truck. -
It all depends when we are talking about and whether we are talking about the same moments. I'm talking particularly about when allen 'disappears' in games, looks flustered. His inconsistency is a problem here, I'm talking particularly about when he has the 'jitters' as he mentioned in his press conference, he does miss easy throws then. It's like everything goes. An example against the Pats was when he started the game, He looked bad! . When beasley was open early and we saw the camera from behind Allen we saw beasley was open and that is an example of an easy missed throw by Allen. He hit's knox with the long pass later and that's a harder throw. I take your point that at times he hits the shorter throws consistently, like when he started the season against the jets or aguanst the cowboys. In other posts I've mentioned the missed td to knox, it would have been nice to have given him a chance on that ball although from memory it wasn't easy. There's an argument for at least giving the reciever a chance on that ball. When the blitz was coming in his face on one play he ran backwards and threw a quick pass to Beasley and beat the rush that way. Sometimes he looks in control and sometimes he doesn't.

Thanks, that's a good read. 1.There is a big 'wanting him to succeed narrative' which I am part of aswell. But I think I see it for what it is and don't allow it to always 'colour' my views. 2. I dont know the answer as to whether he will make it either but im not going to reserve any opinionated posts for three years until the judgement is in. That's what being a fan is about, living the moments. There are some things that happen that I wonder whether we will be talking about in 3 years. My posts after the dallas game were very different to this week.

That the bad throws need to be balanced with the great ones I am concerned with a QB who makes the hard throws and misses the easy ones. This nature is always going to polarise fans. Yes I know that's a high passer rating but.. He was 13/26. 50% completion. We scored 17 points. Few games ago Bills were 9-0 when Allen was 60% or more. Pats are a good defence but it would have been great for Allen to be closer to 60 percent. He has improved the picks and the deep passes were awesome.

Certainly not wallowed in misery. I think my opinion makes others feel miserable! Clearly he is going to have 'bad plays, series and games while I'm waiting', my concern is that maybe we will be having the same conversation in the future. For his other aspects to have been ignored they would have had to been ignored. Allen has great of the field traits. A quarterback will always be defined by bad throws though.
