'But he also made throws I don't know if other QBs could make, like that Brown TD pass falling backwards with defenders in his face.' Yes. We know this, Allen is exciting. The truth is he is not making the easy throws and we are held back by this. Constant 3 and outs in the first half cost us. He plays overwhelmed and misses everything easy in the first half. These things have to be acknowledged. Yes we are 10-5 but look at the QBs who have beaten the patriots this season. Mahomes, Watson, Jackson. We needed a performance like that to help towards beating the Pats. When he started to connect Shock HORROR we were in the lead. I can see where we could be with a better QB, sorry. Haha Of course! Like I say, I can see where we would be with a better QB. Just imagine 10 more completions in that game.

This is the first time I've gone to playcalling but the runs on first down were predictable. Almost like they said we are going to do this on first down continually and better execute. I saw a Playaction stat about Allen somewhere that said his stats were alot better on playaction than otherwise. I thought that could of really worked on some first downs. I'd like to think they are saving that but don't think they are that advanced a staff to be saving gameplans.

The expectations of too many fans are out of whack

You win or you dont. General stuff I've heard is that the Pats are in decline, brady's not the same. Beat them then. -

Also, if it was an irrelevant game - why did josh Allen start like he really felt the pressure of the world on his shoulders? I know what you mean. I'm looking at what happened as still relevant. Go Bills -

I take your point. It's not realistic now no, they are not quiting on Josh Allen. I just worry that I am right. Will never be proved right of course about having a Rodgers/brees on this team now to see but there are so many plays left on the field when we have lost by 7. The game on now is 28-31. You learn something further from every game I think. -
Although I do think you could be right, I have to give the flipside to this argument as it's an interesting one. We still have no explanation for.the first half and the inconsistency which may never go away remember. Points and completions are left on the field. Getting hot for 4 games means getting hot for 4 full games. Getting hot for part of it was proven today not to be enough. That difference between, let's say, 10 more completions today that a Rodgers, brees etc makes take us to the superbowl this year maybe. I know what your saying about Allen getting hot, I could make the argument he is the noose around our necks.

Might even be the superbowl with these QBs. So frustrating -

It's just hard to take when they still look better than we do in all departments. I know Allen made some plays but I tell you what concerns me - With all the throws that are missed, I'm starting to think you put brees, mahomes, Rogers, brady (hate to say it) on this team.. We are then Better than the patriots. This is what makes me anxious, that we are close. All the talk of the defence,. we were still holding them to some field goals. -
Your right about the defence today but to me that just shows how good Brady and that lot are. Also Allen has got to start better, sometimes he just isn't there. As much as I'm looking at the plays he makes, I'm looking at the the plays he misses. It's hard to know which to focus on. It's not a popular thing to say and it hurts like s*** but the truth is if we swap quarterbacks we probably win this game.

Don't really know what to say after that game. I'm confused. Bit raw. Josh Allen was the clear problem earlier, then as the game went on it didn't seem that way as much. Almost like he's the problem, then he's our only hope - know what I mean?? Although the throw to knox at the end was another sign of just overthrowing. 2/11 on 3rd down. 400 yards on defence. Mcdermott punting on 4th and 1. Josh Allen rubbish early on. Running on every first down.
