    The Lateral? I thought that was bad decision, will rewatch that. I mean what mcd said wasn't that bad for me.

    Agreed. Watching the presser it wasn't as bad as its made out to be in terms of what Mcd said. The last comment about magic and mayhem couldn't apply to anyone more than Allen! . I would call it magic, mayhem and a bit of desperation.

    Daboll started the game well then melted in the second half, showing no real consistent gameplan or ability to obviously adjust in a playoff game. This means he WILL GET THE JOB IN CLEVELAND.

    He looked a bit desperate, like he wanted the game to be over. This is why I can't blame Mcd for saying what he's said.

    Just watched this presser. Not as bad as I thought. He was asked about Allen throwing it up a bit like the Patriots game (words to this effect) and McDermott said he tried to do too much at times, mentioned the Lateral.

    Absolutely there is a fine line between success and failure of these plays, similar to the near pick six that Allen threw and was dropped. I think it's interesting that mcd is saying Allen tried to do too much rather than talking about the drops, defence.

    I thought the decision to throw that was odd tbh. It wasn't a bad throw considering but earlier in the game he would of thrown a shorter route. Just seemed like he's made the decision to launch it on that, can see what mcd is saying in this context. The replay from behind showed tight coverage but Allen had thrown tight throws in the game.

    Totally agree man. I just heard schopp describe these plays as 'desperate', sorry but it's the accurate word to describe what I saw on the plays. Like there's a desperation to score right there and then. Really good QBs don't make dumb plays, that's my concern.
