    You make a good point about the hypocrisy. I actually think they rated the punter very highly and if it was a lower player on the bubble he would of been gone earlier.

    You are totally right in my opinion. There is a point that alot of these things don't end up getting prosecuted but I hear you. He won't be on the team though.

    I see the assumption/ belief that he's guilty thing and him being on the team as two different things these days. The trial by media is real, in that there is too much of a distraction for the staff for him to be on the team anymore. I'm not making a judgement on what happened but accusations have a weight in organisations that mean they can no longer be employed.

    This is what I thought. Mcd seemed pissed about something deeper than cutting a player.

    I actually feel that part of it might be that they, or someone, saw him as an important player actually - yes a punter but a good one at that. I wonder whether that coloured something somewhere, perhaps together with them not all knowing the full picture or that there were serious grounds.

    It should be. But whatever the position of player (unless it is a star player eg franchise QB) he will be off the team for sure due to the effect on the place that the news brings.
