You totally did not understand the point of the original post. They were not advocating for blindly throw money at TT just so he isn't paid so little.

I can't exactly rattle off lots of examples of this off of the top of my head. Lots of teams have continued to win after paying their QB big money. looking at the teams that consistently win and are in the playoffs it's still pretty obvious that having a good QB (even if he's making a lot of money) is required and worth it. The key is to not just pay any old guy that money but the right one. So I wouldn't be scared of having to pay Tyrod. I'd be scared if it's pretty obvious he's not worth it.

Honestly this is where I look to the beat reporters and the reports are so far so good. Reading Joe B and Ty Dunne and others raving about Tyrod and how good he looked is very different than what we had to read with EJ. There was such a weird schism on this board where half the people were convinced that there was a real agenda on the reporters end to not let EJ start, instead of just accepting he wasnt any good. I trusted them there and I trust them now.

My guess is that the behavior part has to be something very significant. Like Aaron Hernandez or Vick (who did have to pay back part of his signing bonus if you remember). Theyve gotten worse so far in free agency and have a rookie head coach. Why would we be worried about them? Them and the Jets both got worse IMO

I know statistically Manning was worse than Fitz last season but I just feel like something about Manning throwing the ball made a difference that FItz wont be able to recreate. Fitz will always Fitz. Late game ints, dumb plays that lose games are just his game. You put Fitz on last years Broncos teams and I dont think they win the title.

IF he has a great year, I wont worry too much about that. Having a good QB makes everything much easier.
