  1. Theyve always lost guys and had new ones fill in. Theyve shipped out Seymour, Collins. Lost Gronk, Welker, Moss, etc and they continue to win. I will never doubt them until I see it with my own eyes. I dont think they can do from 12-4 to under 6 wins with Belichek still steering the ship. I dont think its inconceivable that Stidham can replicate what Brady did from a stats perspective. Whether or not that translates to wins, time will tell. I remember the time when we hired McDermott we turned over our entire secondary and that was supposed to be our biggest weakness and it was our best unit. If anyone can fill voids with next-men-up its Belichek.
  2. I do not worry about Jarrett Stidham, I worry about Bill Belichek. He went 11-5 with Cassel and 3-1 when Brady was suspended. We also dont know how good/bad Stidham might be. And their defense was good, even if it was overhyped for most of the year. They won the division last year and Brady was brutal for most of the season.

  4. Without a QB I dont see MIA being good. Theyre rising but not there with Fitz and likely not with a rookie QB either. Ill never count the Pats out unfortunately.
  5. One benefit is the three best QBs we will play next year we have at home. Entire AFC East has to play Mahomes and Wilson but we get them in Buffalo, along with Big Ben. Our away schedule is less daunting with SF being the only really scary team on the list. Add in that we are the most talented team in the AFC East, I think its clear we are in the drivers seat for the division. Both the Pats and NYJ play the Rams, Seahawks and Chiefs away.
  6. I care less that Josh is that low than Baker being that high. 10?? Given last years results I don't think you can really separate Josh, Baker or Darnold all that much. To have him at 10 is ridiculous. Yea 23 is fine. I think the difference between 23 and 18 on any of these lists is very narrow.
  7. Its just misleading and gives the idea that the Pats have maybe found some loophole. If they didnt have the $13.5 in dead money from Brady they would be in the running for Cam or another higher-priced QB. But since they are cap strapped they are not able to pay a QB any more money
  8. This is disingenuous since Brady counts $13.5 mill towards the cap in dead money this year. So the Pats are currently paying over $15mill at the QB position and are very tight against the cap. The same is also true for the Jaguars.
  9. I would say upgrading at O-line would have helped. We were fine but not stellar there. We did a great job of replacing/upgrading at other weak positions.
  10. I believe you have to own the teams in the same city which is what made it ok for the Pegulas, but I think that the Jacobs' family would have had to sell the Bruins since they are in a different city. Also this is a pretty commonly discussed loophole. Im sure its done all over the place.
  11. I think most people would have him below Tua and Burrow based on college performance. Both those guys had wildly successful careers in the toughest conference in football. Josh was just ok in the Mountain West. Beyond that is where its tricky and Josh's variance has always been super high. Id bet some people would have him third on the list and others would have him as a third round selection.
  12. I thought the article was pretty spot on. Maybe the "broad side of a barn" comment was a bit harsh, but over all it seemed to nail it. This year is make or break for JA, no excuses.
  13. competition/depth. Norman may not make the team if he cant beat out others.
  14. I am glad we re-signed Spain first and foremost but it does leave me with questions as to what we are going to do moving forward. I agree that most people would say our weakness was RT. A lot of people want to make Ford a guard permanently, which makes sense based on last year. Re-signing Spain and Long creates a log-jam at G though, so if Ford was going to make the switch to G he is going to have to fight for snaps which seems counterproductive for a young players development when switching positions. Also what room is there for upgrades? If we agree that another RT would be an upgrade and we get one in FA or the early rounds of the draft, how is that player going to rotate in with Ford & Nseke? This move actually makes me think we sit tight at OL with what we have instead of look for an upgrade, which is disappointing a bit. Again, I am happy overall we re-signed Spain but I makes upgrading the line a bit less obvious. But as always in Beane I trust.
  15. Yea I remember a time when it didnt look like Epenesa would be available for us, and now it looks like he doesnt deserve 22. Crazy how things change. Sign me up for a tackle there.
  16. I would love a tackle r potentially edge rusher in Rd 1 at 22 and then a trade up in to the 2nd round for one of the tier 3 guys.
  17. They must want to slide Little to guard and then needed a OT? Not sure honestly. A bit puzzling
  18. Well their annual subscription is $60, which is substantially lower than $11/month. I split it with my brother and a buddy so its $20 for the year and we get everything we want.
  19. Im a paid subscriber and I hope it lasts. I dont read it every day in the off season but during the season it has the best content for Bills stuff and thats true of every city.
  20. I think the point is that they could make a move up. Beane isnt afraid to move up in the draft. Allen, Edmunds, Ford all were traded up for in the early rounds. If one of the bigger 3 (Jeudy, Lamb, Jefferson) make it to 15 or beyond I could see him making a move.
  21. I hate that people say it was cheap. If the Bengals game came before the Bills game people would talk about how we went out and won a "must-win" game against the Dolphins. Fact is we wont the games we did and we made the playoffs, thats it.
  22. They make it all back when they sell. Its like any other asset. You buy and then sell at a higher value, even if you lose or break even on revenue year over year. If Pegula ever wants to sell in 10 years or so he would make hundred of millions, close to a billion compared to the purchase price.
  23. My *only* concern, and its a minor one is that a deal signed today could be a recipe for a hold out in 2 years if/when a new CBA is signed and people are making more money. But I dont think Tre and Beane would let that happen.
