Hot take: Shakir should be the starting slot receiver going forward
jletha replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
He made the most of every touch these last two games. Always getting more yards than I expected on any given play, from the return, RAC, going up to get that seam route. Just rose to the occasion every time. -
We don't have the mentality to win close games

I would be very interested to see this data and full statistical breakdown instead if youre willing. Then we can see if the Bills difference is statistically significant. -
All-22 Grades for Bills/Ravens (The Athletic)

YEs but then we signed Saffold who is better at LG so we slid Bates to RG. -

I think our guards are a big reason we havent been able to push downfield lately. I know theres chatter that we need to run the ball to get defenses our of Cover 2 but Im skeptical that would even work. I think we will need to be able to generate explosive plays schematically with defenses in cover 2 and that involves longer developing plays. Getting healthy at WR will help but the O-line needs to hold up better. -
Orlovsky: Bills have become one of best screen teams
jletha replied to Steel City Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall
It really worked well for us, as Dan said. This one and the Shakir one were huge to take the load off of Allen and get chunk yards in the absence of a true run game. If we can utilize this against blitzing teams to get them out of Cover 2 itll be great. -
This throw is so good, it deserves its own thread
jletha replied to Dablitzkrieg's topic in The Stadium Wall
I was at the game and even live, in real time, I turned to my brother and commented how ridiculous that throw was. Especially given the situation. -
I realize it was a great interception by Poyer to get there before the WR but... Was it not Poyers man to begin with and he kinda lost track of him? Seems like he recovered from his own mistake.

The Bills struggles running the ball are well known but I thought we moved it on the ground well in the second half. Singletary had a run really nice runs both on a pitch and up the middle. Josh had some really effective scrambles up the middle. You can even add in the screen plays has running-extensions. Hopefully we have figured something out there moving forward. I would love to get back to throwing downfield like we did in weeks 1 & 2.

My ideal situation is him coming off PUP today, and then getting two weeks to practice before playing on a limited basis for the Chiefs ahead of the bye.

This is the arrow paradox. Everday we get 50% closer, but we will never truly get there.

Why I Want to Beat the Phins so bad this week
jletha replied to WhitewalkerInPhilly's topic in The Stadium Wall
I clearly remember all of these takes at the time. Josh was well praised with some expected trepidation, as we are seeing with Tua. -
No mention of Hyde. Maybe McD didnt think of him when he was just rattling them off but hopefully it means he isnt really hurt.
-
Our defense is designed to prevent big plays over the top, so the way they beat Baltimore wont happen against us. We may not hold them to 7 but Tua is going to have to be better than he was last week to beat us.

I am not a tape guy, I was only trying to add the context to what was posted from Joe's article that Cook was his own worst enemy. I have no idea what the read was.

Re James Cook run here is the photo. The blocking looks like he should take the red path to the outside, but he cut it up the blue path where he fumbled.

Yikes...hyping up a 9 yard out from a perfect pocket that he threw one time.

Came to post this. It came out of nowhere because we werent good the year before. The start of the magical run for that team. It went Chiefs drubbing, then 18 point comeback against Oakland in the home opener and then the 21pt comeback win against NE to start 3-0. Before one of the biggest collapses in NFL history

We are thin for a team with SB aspirations and the 1 seed in sight. We are a Diggs injury away from having a very mediocre WR corp. Can Davis be a #1 for a few weeks if Diggs goes down? Replacing Cole and Sanders with Crowder and McK feels like a drop off. My only hope is that the addition of Howard makes up some of the difference. But I would hate for WR depth to hurt our chances at a 1-seed.

Preparing for Tre White to never be the same post-injury
jletha replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Maybe its in the study but what were the odds most of these guys were out of the league in 3 years anyway? To me youd have to compare All-Pro level CBs to get a good study. You cant loop all NFLers into it. -
if we put him on the wall would he even show up?
