Justin Herbert - fractured rib cartilage, day to day
billybrew1 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
As opposed to the chefs ridiculous schedule…the next three games are Colts, Bucs and Raiders…. KC has two easy matchups, that’d it…. The Bills, in week six and the chefs next three games the Bills, then the 49ers and titans, LOL, gotta give the chefs a big, fat L even though it’s in KC (so expect a flag when the Bills get a turnover). But what a nutty schedule for the chefs….The freakin’ chargers had them. And they had them w/o their best WR in Keenan Allen. That injured SD TE should have called a TO…what a huge play….hindsight is a wonderful thing…. Well if SD won I’d be just as worried about SD. Probably the better team. I personally think Mahomes is better than Herbert but SD is better than KC, especially if Allen plays. And I think Buffalo has the best team, especially if Tre White plays…Tre makes a huge difference. We can play any type of D we want back there with him in the lineup…. I do hope we get Khalil Shakir some playing time this week, as crazy as it seems, I think he is a key Bill that needs experience pronto. Once Khalil is resting both Diggs and Davis we are a better team. Baby steps…. -
I still think both ints. Were ints. we can live sort of with. Isaiah has to catch that ball and Crowder has to come back for it and be the hungrier person going for that ball. Or, at least play a CB role….. Our slot guys have to be better. I can’t wait until Shakir gets a chance to be one of the three outside WRs…. Neither of the interceptions were bad throws imho….IDK, maybe Josh needs to throw to more open WRs? Both throws were in very tight coverage…. Josh still getting used to throwing to new slot WRs?

I think our Three Kids are alright! and they had a great offseason! Special thanks to Von and Brrrrrruuuuuuccccce….

The greatest team ever assembled?

I’m with ya, and I don’t think it’s funny. Why not? We have…..everything. We must keep the following players healthy….in this order….Allen, Dawkins, Diggs, Davis, Knox…. While Von is very important at least we have suitable backups for him…. -
No trivia but I got a kick out of Cody Ford being out injured for week one…. Not happy he is hurt but I think we really got a free 5th rounder out of the rare Beane miss….
-
Me. But I will be with mostly ram fans…. It’s gonna be a great game either way! Win or lose even…. When you think about this game probably has little meaning to either team…. I’ll take the win though…. : ) Such a close contest…. Really. Josh > Stafford to be sure but we don’t have AD….plus we have two young spots… Spencer Brown and Kaiir Elam plus a not that strong spot in Dane Jackson. I hope our young DEs swarm the LOS….along with Von…. And Josh Allen plays like last year… I expect a lot from Devin Singletary….watch. Go Bills!

When do you typically get big game, game day anxiety?
billybrew1 replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’m going to go to my first Bills road game in my life. It’s the Super Bowl winning Rams on Thursday night and they are going to hoist the banners. There will be famous people dotted within the audience and Black Sabbath (LOL) is playing at half time…. Also my first game that I see Josh Allen live! I’m pumped! I’m so pumped I’m exhausted. Like I’m too excited. Glad I don’t have to play and I hope the Bills aren’t too pumped… I hope they don’t get too tired while the banners are hoisted. I’m also a huge admirer of Sofi stadium. I hope we can get there real early and check it out from an architectural point of view… I’m going with two architects to aid in my scenic tour. I’ll probably spend about $1000 ticket, beer, hotel, lunch, dinner and then breakfast…. I can’t afford to do that very much that is fer sure… I think it’s going to be too hot to wear a jersey…. Its definitely going to be a dogfight. I find it highly improbable that either team can win easy. The rams are just too good. We have are trouble spots (imho) with Spencer Brown starting after not really training too much this offseason (and I was really psyched that he’d train like crazy this offseason) and then Dane Jackson gets a start and he is paired with rookies going to split time. My guess is Elam excels at man and Benford at zone but talk about nerves being a rookie CB’s first game! National TV millions of viewers scrutinizing every move. Going against Cooper Kupp? Anyway, huge game for all three of our corners. I have some faith that Hyde and Poyer can ease their fears….TJ too… I honestly think if the Bills win it will be by a hair. Though once Tre White returns to form and our young corners get some very valuable experience our secondary will be awesome. Maybe the best the NFL has to offer. Once that happens, we will be nearly unbeatable, imho… Bills win scoring a TD to Khalil Shakir with seven seconds left winning by two…. -

Predict the Score: Bills vs Rams
billybrew1 replied to SlimShady'sSpaceForce's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bills 34, rams 27….. Our defense is too new to really lay a lick on the rams. It is going to be knockout fight. I am betting on Allen over Stafford. These two teams are great and tied as close as you could possibly expect. QB - the Bills hands down. Our biggest advantage and the biggest disparity in the game. OL - the Bills by a hair. Saffold is a huge upgrade for us and Kromer has us ready, the rams starting two new OL…. WR - The rams by a hair. Call it the Kupp factor. TE - Knox by a nose. RB - the Rams by a hair. It’s really close though. Devin is ready for this game. Watch. Cam is a good back. Both have depth. DL - the rams by a hair. Call it the AD effect. LB - The rams by a hair. Call it the B. Wagner effect. Secondary - Tie. The Bills still have TJ, Hyde and Poyer and the corners will be good, watch. The rams are replacing two in the secondary. STs - Another tie. It’s that close. MVPs aside from Josh, Devin and Gabe. An attaboy to Kaiir Elam who looks marvelous…gets an int. -
Most of my doubts are related to injuries along the OL and Tre White not coming back like a superstar…. I guess we could be totally wrong about the DL too but I doubt it. I think Beane got the DL right in his second attempt…. Ed is ready and is going to have a big game vs. LA…. Either that, or other DL are going to have a big game. It completely depends on who the rams decide on who to double most plays…. I think both DaQuon and Settle can make the rams pay for doubling Ed. So can Groot, AJ, Boogie and Von…. I think we have a good line. Plus we have Tremaine Edmunds playing for a contract on national TV…. Watch Tremaine this year!

As far as the LBs go, I thought Giles-Harris was our best in preseason. I liked the cut of his jib. -

Compare and Contrast Von's move with Reggie White in 1993
billybrew1 replied to ganesh's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not exactly…. White was still at the very peak of his game and is tied with Bruce Smith as the best DL of all-time…. Von is a hair lower than those guys and is no longer at his peak. So, not exactly but similar. The move was made to produce the same result; Super Bowl victories. For the Bills, so much is hanging on the rest of the DL, Tre White’s return, and Elam’s ability to learn and gain confidence…. Reggie White felt like a one man wrecking crew. -
PFT: Can the Bills thrive under the weight of high expectations?
billybrew1 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think the rams are going to come out extremely hard and hit Buffalo with everything they have right from the kickoff. You know they have the latest line posted on their bulletin board about how where the favs. in their building in week one (no respect.) I think the Bills have to hold on early and then they’ll be OK. On the other hand, the Bills have been chomping at the bit quite a bit themselves. They are dying to play someone else and the rams have many questionable points on both sides of the ball…. The Rams OL has two new starters, both should be downgrades. They’ll be playing a newer secondary just like us and they are missing last year’s NT and pass rusher Von Miller. -
LOL! I can’t Billieve that we’re the fav? Wtf is that? Vs. The Super Bowl champs? On the f-fen road? Across the whole freakin’ country? Seems surreal to me…. Still missing Tre and starting a rookie and Dane Jackson? A rookie in his first game on a Thursday night vs. the SB champs? What an outrageous start! Kaiir Elam is going to make a name for himself one way or another. Is Cam going to play? IDK? They all can’t be active…. We won’t see a line this crazy all year I don’t think…. I like the Bills +2.5….but minus? is Allen going to go 5 TDs - no Ints? We’ll see Thursday night…. Go Bills!

Predicting the top players in 2022 - five Bills make the list
billybrew1 replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
As a player? I’ll be happy if Davis can pull some heavy coverage his way…this is Davis’ first year as a #2… I hope he Gabe tears it up, but being a #1 is very different.
