  1. Thanks for posting. I think I saw that last year but I am not sure. It was neat watching it again either way. I too, lime Mayock. It was neat just watching EJ throwing those rainbows. Thanks again.
  2. Isn't it obvious? Kenny Guitar Guiton.
  3. Hey, looks like you have a very reasonable roster. Here's my meager changes.... Off - Pears, On - JJ Unga.... Save money, switch to guard, Bills seemed high on him. Off - Moeaki, On - Lee..... Love his blocking let's say Moeaki gets hurt and Gragg makes it. Off - Brooks, On - DE Wynn.... Rotate those linemen, gotta have size, depth esp. if Dareus gets susp. Off - moorman, On - Dombrowski.... Another year older.... Off - Hopkins, - On - Randall Johnson.... Special teams OLB. I wanted to get rid of Summers mostly because I get a feeling the coaching staff doesn't like him, I looked up special teams to see how he did there because Ai don't remember but couldn't find the stats.....but if he does not excel on specials I think he is gone. Whether Rodriguez takes his spot (I remember that he was supposed to be good at specials) or Dixon takes his FB snaps IDK. My take, make certain whomever it is tattoos his man hard and play him a little or a lot depending on the foe. I think Summers is pretty good at that.unless you compare him to Sam Gash. I wanted to get rid of Nigel because I get that same bad vibe from the coaches about him. But he fits this D way better than Pettine's with his athletisism and Schwartz makes decisions way easier for his backers. So he stays too. Wanted to go with just 8 OL but we are too young here. I think there's a good chance henderson stubs his toe and is IRed. And then we go with a diff. OT unless he is ready.... I loved the Brooks pick in during the draft and the first 2 years, maybe he can become an important special teamer. IDK why he wasn't playing there last year at the end of the year....but he ceratainly needs a big camp. Same for Graham as you have said. Lastly, I like that tall WR who just switched to TE and it would be neat if he did it ala Mr. George Wilson. I mean the guy caught everything last year. You can't say that about anybody else... Nice post.
  4. 50/50. I can see fans backing him 100%, but fans that say he looked great as a rookie have questionable memories, etc. I think he showed some glimmers, I really think that's about all you can say....aside from great intangibles. Dorky movement skills (definitely related to jitters). Inaccurate arm, wildly at times. (Probably nerves also). Corkscrew passes. (He has got to stop this), Poor vision. Poor footwork. I mean, look at his QBR or QB rating.
  5. I just read yesterday both CBS and NFL.coms player rankings on Cyrus. CBS really liked his run blocking but NFL network says his talent is better than his actual playing. I think it important that whomever the Bills get to add at Right OT that he is a very good run blocker at an NFL level now. That's why I say if Mathews by some miracle is there, you take him. Plug and play players are rare.... Fans are suggesting using Mathews as trade bait, but I think those fans need to look at past drafts overall and see all the busts that occur every year.
  6. I thought Tuel showed as much as any of the other QBs. All the QBs were terrible and Tuel missed a lot of passes, but he moved the team pretty well at times and perhaps he got rid of the ball the quickest to the right guy (cept for that one time). And I thnk that was very impressive for his first start and that getting rid of the ball fast to the right guy is one of the most important qualities to have to be a successful QB (he knows what he is doing). Perhaps his horrible inaccuracies can be traced to jitters as he clearly could not play coming into his first game for an injured Manuel. I look forward to watching all four of our QBs this spring and summer..... I sure hope the three from last year that played look way better this summer (although Tuel was impressive over the summer quite a few times). Still they have to really improve if we are going anywhere next year..... They are of course the biggest key to the season. Although I think there are many, many keys for us....
  7. While Whaley and the Bills chiefs know much more about their four QBs than I, I think Whaley is taking a huge chance not bringing in someone to be able to run the ship if Manuel craps the bed. Perhaps Denis Dixon surprises everyone. The year we looked fior a back up for fitzy and chose tyler thigpen (clear evidence gailey should have no input on player personnel ever) i was poed.... That year, my choice was to get dixon surrendering a 5th rder in the process (he was a restricted FA)..... I really don't know what dixon has done since although I am sure it is not much..... Anyway, he was great at oregon, he is big and athletic, has some experience. Maybe he surprises this year.... But, if it were me, who knows just what he saw on TV last year on the Bills QB situation, I'd try to get Pryor. I am not sure if I get the Bills strategy in giving Manuel the job and not bringing in any serious competition. Shouldn't you bring in the best competition for all your roster spots? While Lewis played better than I expected in the NE game, I just can't see him leading a team for any length of time. I hope Marrone and Whaley are correct about our QBs and that I am completely wrong about them. Go Bills!
  8. I think he is twice his size as well.
  9. Three of the top 5 picks last year were linemen who played right OT for their teams. You take them that high because you think they might be able to dominate. I am saying we should take Lewan, I just don't know enough about his situation and Clowney beat him pretty bad imho.... I too like the trade down and I too don't see it happening. Maybe Evans.... It's a disappointing pick to me, but when you watch him he dominates with size and strenght. IDK if he can do it in the pros, nobody does though. The bigger ends are rated low and I am not crazy about the safeties and just would be disappointed with a replacement pick in rd. one. IDK, I think whaley has his hands full with this one....i don't see any scenario with any of the top 5 prospects falling to us.... Trading up costs just too much, we need those picks. It would be awesome if somehow we could trade up to three and grab Clowney if he falls. It would cost probably two ones and two twos to do it (at least I would think). If I thought Manuel was the answer I'd make that trade, but I don't know, so I wouldn't.
  10. This is a great post. Listened to the interview. I thought john Murphy blew it at the end. The scout was telling him that the free agent players have to fit the system that they are going to and that both Williams and Graham fit our systems well. John Murphy said, "huh?" "You know the draft is coming up....." I thought John should have asked the scout to elaborate more on that topic.....
  11. I'd try and sign him. We should have before he went to cleveland.....
  12. Boo-Boo Wounds. Brandon Spikes.
  13. Sam Monson or Doug Whaley should be fired by November. Monson left no gray area in his assessment of our signing of Chris Williams. I just can't believe that in this day and age a GM could make that kind of mistake. If Monson is wrong and Chris Williams plays like an effective left guard Monson should be fired for talking completely out of his ass and not watching the film himself. Pro Football Focus has built up quite a reputation over the last couple of seasons and Monson has put their good name on the line. I am going to make sure whomever is horribly incorrect gets called out come November (unusual circumstances withstanding). We'll see....
  14. While I agree he needs to stay at left tackle, I disagree that he improved last year. On the contrary, I think his run-blocking declined last season from his rookie season. The new offense, plus the new offense for Spiller (which is a little different) and the loss of Andy Levitre all contributed to less effectiveness which led to frustration and uncertainty which contributed to even less effectiveness last season. My hope is the new Guard, Chris Williams and a year of looking at tape for all those involved in our offense will iron out a lot of wrinkles and get that running game going (particularly for CJ) behind the huge and nasty Cordy Glenn. Watch CJ's highlight reel from 2012 and Cordy jumps right off the film at you. He just did not have that effect last season.... I know the trade-down is my preferred option.... : ) After rd. three you know it's mostly BPA accept for the %#{{#^*€<~~ punter we will draft (again).
  15. Yes, Hughes, Manny and Alan were all very good acquisitions. Yes, all national media outlets reported all of these transactions as inconsequential or flat-out bad. All Bills fans should keep this in mind over the next few days. What still is in question, is who wanted these guys, Pettine or the Doug's? Judging by Cleveland's acquisitions over the last 36 hrs. I am thinking it was the Doug's (and of course their staff relating to player inquiry).
  16. Ha-ha-ha-ha-haha ahhhhhhhh you're killing me, man, stop it....
  17. Ha-ha-ha-ha-haha ahhhhhhhh you're killing me, man, stop it....
  18. Eric Wood is a quality center. Too many times Eric Wood is found as the guy who made the key or extra block on a rewind. Aaron Williams was a main cog of our defense. Aaron Williams is also an obvious choice of a player that should be even better this year. Nigel and Urbik are probably overrated here. It's funny, but profootball focus was one of the sources that was talking up McKelvin towards the end of last year if I remember correctly. Clearly the Bills are not that overly talented, the record speaks for itself. However, poor QB play makes us look worse than we are on both sides of the ball.
  19. Fitz...... After hearing about the broken ribs this spring I got sucked into billieving that Fitz still could turn-out to be a good QB, not great but good (i.e. no INTs like the ugly ones today ever). Well, it's time to tear it down, he's never going to make it to good.... So it's sad for me.... I still billieve the D can be fixed. I have no idea why though..... How could they be that bad? We had four good defenders last year in Dareus, Barnett, george and Jarius. We add Kyle, Super Mario, mr. Anderson, and stephon gilmore. We have five rookie defenders from 2011 heading into their second year. Mix it all up, play one of the worst offenses from 2011 with a very shaky QB and get this? This is either one of the worst cases of coaching, drafting or coaching and drafting - ever....
  20. Must have been a hot-dog eatin' contest.
  21. Hey, thanks for writing..... Not so sure Moats is the answer, are you? Although, playing behind Super (& Dareus) has got to help. Go Bills!
  22. I know those two preseason games are hard to ignore, but it is a loooong season and it is a fact, that preseason is extremely misleading; not just the score, everything. Yes, we gotta get way better play from the SOLB and Sheppard. I just don't understand how he can look that bad. I am going to ignore everything until after the jerlks game though. And even if we lose, I am certainly going to note how we lost. I certainly liked sheppard at LSU and he looked promising last year. I will try to focus on that. Before preseason, I felt certain all the above complaints were adressed. Yeah, we gotta a rookie left tackle. But we can help him in september and hopefully by December, he is instead a major weapon. Maybe this is the year wood turns it around...Ted Washington overcame more to be the greatest run defender ever. Wood can comeback and will. If that defensive line can't stop the run, I might as well quit watching football.....maybe.....maybe, Anderson is no good at it (i think he is as long as his plays are limited) but I know the other four ( or if Merriman comes back five) can play the run. Barnettt showed no signs of aging last year, none. I'm sticking with that. I am also worried about the other corner spot, opposite Gilmore is questionable. (by the way, I also expect December Gilmore to be much better than Septembers, so chillax everyone.. I really want to see Justice Rogers return to practice fast. I really think he can help. I also think we need him. At some point, he is gonna make that secondary better. I know if McGee plays (or the games he does play, hopefully in December and beyond, he makes us way better all-around. He is a difference maker for us. Merriman another huge injury risk guy, but if he gets better and better thoughout the season, he can truly dominate in all phases of the game and will rub off on his teammates. He could be the thing that changes our fortune, one more probowl type player. I know Super will look a lot better in week one, he has nothing to prove and just wants to get outta these games..... So, for me, it is the defnse I think could be winning games for us or be dominating. On offense, I do think we are going to have to live with that one to three ugly passes/game. I think we can overcome that though. At least as far as making the playoffs go. After that, he'd probably havta get hotter which he can for three games. I think that there is no doubt that he'll more resemble early fitz than late fitz over the course of the year. And you havta admit, there is solid reasoning that he should be even better than good fitz this fall. I think graham alone makes us better at wr this year. I also think a healthy stavie alone makes us better than last year.He played with that torn hamstring all year and it was very visible most of the games. I think think Jones is improving coming into his third year and Nelson for the same reason and practicing with tim brown. and the last one or two guys who make it, will probably help more than last year's tail enders. It is hard for me to hear anyone complain about our RBs, we are fine here, you'll see. At some point, I believe that Brad Smith is gonna really help us, I just don't know how many games that will be. And as far as People who think fans have no effect on the game, they just don't see it. Fans have lifted up sport teams or figures thoughout history. It is common knowledge. The louder and more upbeat the fans are, the more the team or person will be helped by it. Geez, it is really weird to me that someone would even state that. On on another level ( not the two obvious ones loudness and positive cheering) you have Carl Yung's cosmic conscienceness. I am certain a believer in it and I know millions of others are as well. It sort of a belief that if you put your positive thought out there, it will be multiplied with others thinking the same thing and be brought into existance sort of. It works just as well negatively too so to be positive works doubly. I know that jets game is huge, but it certainly isn't the end of the season, let's all remember that it is how your playing in December that determines superbowl winners (once you make the dance) so let's all remain positive and beat those jerks. If not the first time, definitely the second! Go Bills!
  23. If what you're writing about was the best things you could see, I hope you were hammered. I don't think you were though as I am still trying to watch it to learn what happened. It is a good thing that most fans know preseason truly is absolutely meaningless, cuz it was horrible.... You were crazy streching on 4 & 5, ha-ha! I wasn't worried about LB at all untill I heard that Moats is taking over...l.then I watched that game and said eep! Just remember....meaningless, everything, meaningless.... Oh yeah, I can't believe you didn't mention Dareus and Kyle. Dareus was good but, Kyle was superman! I mean really amazing. Now, you might think, "yeah, but we knew that." That is not the case bills fan, as nobody saw him play against another team since his major surgery. He looked as good as ever in those few plays. If we can get Super close to his level of play vs. the run and the pass, right there, just those two guys, and Dareus....we will be fun to watch and no pushover. The secondary was also a disaster. Good thing we drafted Gilmore cuz we need him baaaaaaddddd. McKelvin was getting picked on and Williams did not look ready in that game anyways.... I use to think how nice it would be if we lucked out and got McGee back. Now, I think it maybe a must (if we are to compete for the prize). And we need Justin Rogers back to practice yesterday! C'mon Rogers! I know you are Captain America! We need Williams and McKelvin to gain confidence as well. It is a long season you need lots of corners, let's go guys! Stevie also looked like an all pro too.....which is nice to see....Chandler has the size and hands to have a monster year.....so, how many great players do we have now? Let's see.... O - Freddy/CJ, Levitre, Wood (in a couple weeks) and Stevie. What we need on O is for Fitz, Chandler, nelson and Pears to join the first five this year..... On D - Kyle, Dareus, Barnett, Super, Byrd and Mr. Wilson.... What we need is Merriman, McGee, Mr. anderson, Gilmore and Sheppard to join the first six. Merriman coming all the way back would do more than adding a probowler. The man was a monster in S.D. Just him and McGee on D puts us in SB range ( if he were truly back). McGee would be huge too (not like Light's Out) I'm telling ya.....our secondary would firm up like concrete if he could do it.....then have A&W as your nickel and Rogers as your dime and McKelvin on the bench! That's a mighty fine secondary right there, I'm tellin' ya.... Yep, to have Merriman easily take over the RE spot and have a starting D-line of Super, Dareus, Kyle and Light's Out would be dream-like; perhaps the best Ine ever... And with our best secondary ever to pair with it we can get by with Moats as our one-down SOLB.... More babblings.....if they have trouble with that SOLB spot going into the season, look for wanny to perhaps mix things up. You see, Scott played great last year and looks even better this year ( he has more muscle knowing he is not a safety and he knows his role cold). So what they would do is start Scott at WOLB, push Barnett to MLB and move Sheppard to SOLB. All three players can play their position well. The down-side is there is more wear and tear on Barnett this way. Not only is Barnett older and a little smallish, but Sheppard is young and built to specs for a MLB ( ideally, he would be even bigger, see Urlacher, but Sheppard is our biggest backer by far ( maybe nigel is close?) so there is a bad side.... Barnett is very valuable to us. He is one of our always on the field, great player guys we need to keep healthy.... Ahhhh, screw that move! But note that I got it from wanny.... I am sticking with Captain Kirk Morrison as my guess for opening day starter in week one..... I am laughing now as it hit me that wanny really is worried about that SOLB spot. Not only did he suppose the Scott lineup, he also pointed out (a couple times!) how Scott is going to play way more than the starting SOLB (65\35 Scott)... No more.....
  24. No! But it will be February third. : )
