  1. I agree with you and I'm a fan of Singletary but look at the photo and those calfs..... Looks like Maybe he has been missing leg day....LOL, I really doubt he's doing anything wrong....
  2. It went so poorly for us I still haven't rewatched that horrid game. The bad new is there is no excuse for the defense. The offense had excellent excuses that being ALL our WRs were injured to the point of loss of effectiveness. So, should the Bills find a way to keep their receivers healthier (by running more) or get more receivers (to better share the wear and tear) I think we can match up with them much better offensively. I was surprised the main thethe Bills did to better their defense was to acquire new defensive ends in Obama, Groot and Boogie. Most thought one-tech and CB were obvious places as well. And now seeing as how the two bigger names are rookies at DE you have to wonder how much of a difference they can provide. I'd say, if anything, the defense was worse than the offense last January and that sounds pathetic. I really have to rewatch the game before I comment more on the defense. But it feels like the defensive game plan was horrendous.
  3. The saints were competing for Super Bowls for ten years. It wasn't until Bress retired that they decided to let the cap catch up to them.
  4. Well, first off, you have to figure out who is going to make the team.... Hmmm? Does freakin' Addison have a guaranteed contract? I don't f***in' know! I certainly hope the f*** not. Nobody sez it, I don't know why, While it's true Jerry Hughes had a fantastic playoff series in 2019 and couple very good games in '20, he fell off a cliff in the playoffs last year. So, what we really should do is cleanse the DE position and go young. That's what we have coaches for. So, what's young? Im going with five, Our third-string QB is going to have to have a procedure of some kind right around the end of August. My five: AJ Epenesa, Daryl Johnson, Effien Obadass, Gregory Rousseau (love that name, sounds like a pro bowler) and Carlos Boogie Basham (even a better name because each name is tough individually). We May take our lumps early, we may take our lumps late, but we're going with the f***in' plan and we're going to go to the next level if it our guys can f***in' draft! Now, out of those five, can any of them lead the team? I have to go with Groot (That's an ideal nickname if I heard one, truly perfect!) I love the name. I love the nickname! I love the highlights! I love the pro day film! If he runs into a problem it is because he simply isn't strong enough (yet). If this was s so, I'm going with my super dark horse in Daryl Johnson. I don't know why he didn't get to play much last year, or why he hasn't improved, but the kid has the talent. Sometimes, it takes a kid the most extreme pressure to respond and now he has it with the two draft picks. Its going to raining young defensive ends in orchard park this fall....pick your favorite! Go Bills!
  5. I want a WR, but IDK the one listed.... But the truth is.... We have one of the highest paid DLs in the league and they are mediocre at best. I hope Beane has hit gold this time but who knows? He sure swung for the fences anyway. The point is we could sure use more help at DL and one-tech is the biggest problem. Most of our OL becomes FAs next season so maybe it could be a wise place to add a four year contract. TE - we have no starter at TE, imho... CB - aside for QB, this secondary is our strong point. We need another solid outside guy though... I think WR is everything though. I don't think our old codgers are going to last 20 or 21 games getting starters reps. We need more skill to divvy up touching the ball. Not guys that can't get open in the NFL, we need talent. I think the pick should be WR.... Then we can go CB, then DT, then OL....Then S, then who the hell knows.... Beane has got to add another veteran TE as well... either Ertz or Jesse James.
  6. The Bills need a WR in the top three picks, I would imagine that by the fifth, we're only talking about playershat cant really scare opponents.
  7. LOL, I'm telling you, we don't get another quality WR from somewhere we're idiots.
  8. I bleed Buffalo Blue But the fact of the matter is that the Bills are in their Super Bowl window right now yet are doing little to nothing to catch their current target; the chefs. TheBills need to increase depth and talent in the offensive weapons category. We need a real TE and either an elite RB or another very dangerous WR to last the season and match the chefs. Without enough true weapons for JA we don't have a chance. The Bills need impact players added to their nondescript defense. We need upgrades at DE, DT and CB. It doesn't look like we can get that DE in the draft, we need an accomplished veteran. we need somebody that can compete with or even beat Star at DT. We really need dominance from our line and we barely rise above average at times. The Bills need more glue coverage to play more man to allow us to blitz and attack. I don't even know if that's in our coaches' blood anymore.... Please note that all of these critiques are mostly when compared to the team we have to beat, the chefs. I really hope McBeane has the full go to do everything he needs to do to try and win vs. the chefs. Step one: Acquire Ertz On draft day. This is one the huge adds we need imho.... Step two: Draft the best combination of a DT, CB And WR we can get. Step three: Get that pro bowl DE similar to way KC just got their LT. Now we need someone that faired we'll against OB in the past. The only other option is to go for it next year maybe? I haven't looked at next year what happens to us vs. what happens to the chefs.... But the whole point of playing is to win a Super Bowl and the only way we are going to beat to the chefs is to build a better team. (I guess there is always dumb luck, the chefs could run into a swarm of injuries I guess)
  9. We had only one healthy receiver in the playoffs. That's why the fence collapsed. Do we need to run better? Yes, it will take our offense to a new level. Would that have made us the chefs? No f-fen way. We needed our WRs badly and our defense stunk up the joint. So, we need to improve our WR depth (because we have old, small, WRs and the season is very long at 20 to 21 games.) and to really improve our nondescript defense.
  10. We lost both battles of the line of scrimmage. That was the biggest thing. Especially their O-line vs. our defense. The most glaring difference was our lack of talent on offense. We had Allen and Diggs and KC just laid on those two heavy and we had nobody who could do anything about it. JB, Beasley were hurt and this crippled our O all playoffs then we even lost Gabriel Davis and that was it. Our offense as stalled. So, we have to figure a way, a little t of it is luck, but you have to be in incredible shape, take care of your body and Daboll has to scheme his WRs that can't beat one on one that well into the game, like McKenzie and Davis, maybe this year we draft a rookie and also keep Hodgins, really have a very strong room. Although that would be seven WRs and maybe no KO or PR there. Maybe we do, have McKenzie do kick-offs and the rookie do PRs. I'm all for drafting The speedster from Florida... Sign Ertz. Go Florida WR, Syracuse CB then DT Shelvin (get bigger on that line at the point.
  11. I don't think the need for skill players on offense is any news at all. We simply don't have enough special players on offense. We need another WR that can beat man to man badly and if the league is not going to take the talented RBs, we will. We need difference makers on defense as much as offense, even more in a way, but if they are not there, they are not there. Maybe we get one at the trade deadline? For me, the draft feels like it is clearing up.... We want other teams to take the RBs to push talent in other areas to us. I think the RB talk is mostly smoke screen. The WR need is real though. We only have three dangerous ones, probably. IMHO - The Bills need five good football players to put a win anybody in the SB. One each at: WR, TE, DT, DE and CB. The problem with the defensive end is he might just not be available to us in this draft. So, we put him aside. We Sign Ertz which is a huge get for us if he isn't too old. Just a huge get. Another guy that can make big plays. So now we're down to three (we got the TE and we put DE on the back burner) that leaves: CB, DT and WR. Those are our first three picks. We picks a safety late to compete with Jaquan Johnson and Josh Thomas at back up safety. Finish the draft one way or the other drafting linemen. Maybe we hit one? Now we have a team much stronger than last years team imho. Now we are lacking nothing but that extra-talented pass rusher. Now we wait for teams to fall by the way side and there will be losing teams with good ends on expiring contracts. We pay the big price (mostly in salary) and send a decent pick their way. Now, we're feeling NFL strong. Now perhaps one or two of, Obada, Epenesa, Daryl Johnson, Ed Oliver, Tremaine Edmunds and the rookie DLs are playing above what was expected. Now our O-Line is really cruising both run and pass looking like a top three OL. Allen now is just toying with teams. Beating them without much of a threat. The Bills have coordinators heads spinning. Too many weapons on both sides of the ball. Who knows? Maybe Edmunds not only hits a new level but he and Milano both stay healthy and just keep raising their games. Maybe we see what McD originally wanted with Klein or one of the other vet LBs and we pull out a new defense to throw teams off. With Star (and maybe Harry has a huge comeback now too!) and the rookie DT control that one-tech spot and they play Ed more aggressively and it pays off too? Yeah, yeah, that's the ticket....
  12. I'd go WR for sure and I see that it is a need as we go only three deep there with guys that can beat man. Im not sure which one would fit our offense the best. My guess would be Marshall. Who can play outside. He's different than anything we have but Im not sure why that is so. Is it because we simply don't have that talent or because Allen has trouble with those throws? Long and outside. Right now, one banana peel to Beasley, Sanders or Diggs and our offense is no longer special, imho. We need to both sign Ertz (or Jesse James) And Draft a premier WR in order for this offense to stay on top most of the year plus heading into the playoffs..... It seems really obvious to me. But I admit, aside from a big trade later in the year where we take on a salary and a player in exchange for probably a second or third round pick, I really don't know how to improve the pass rush. Is there a rookie that might be around 25 or so that might really help? Imho, we need five solid players added to our current roster: DE, DT, CB, WR and TE. Solid players. Good football players. Right now, I imagine Beane ends up hitting just four for some reason. Getting that pass rusher might be too much to ask of the Pegulas, I don't know. From what most tell me (I didn't watch any college football this year) we could maybe get three of those needs with our draft picks this year which, I think, is really good. We can go WR, CB, DE withour first three picks maybe trading up a bit from 61 or 93? We can sign the vet TE in Ertz who would give our offense another prime weapon, or Jesse James who would solidify our TE room to at least adequate I think. That's pretty good! Maybe the teams ahead of us have catastrophic injuries and we beat them? Maybe the Pegulas open up that purse and get us that pass rusher? I bet someone looks to dump a bonafide but older pass rusher who's contract is up at the end of the year for a pick. Either as a favor to the pass rusher or just for thepick?
  13. I guess I'm in the minority but I saw special talent in Singletary as a rookie and I think we can easily regain that look. In the right scheme Singletary is a 5.? Yd/carry back on the year and that's exactly what you want. He'll get a ton of ten yards plus carries for his career, we just have to be patient and run him plus run the tight plays for him. This Bills offense is still growing and we have to find the right run/pass ratios over a season still. We have to practice both the run and the pass to be good at both. With time, Daboll, Allen, their teammates and their coaches all working together, we can fine tune this thing to be more ready for anything. I, for one, Billieve we have enough talent at RB with the top five backs we currently are now carrying. Maybe draft another with a late round pick to combat extreme injuries. I am also in the small percentage in thinking we do NOT have enough big talent at the WR position. We start three WRs and only one back. We currently have five interesting RBs for the mix as we plan no one back to start the season. We plan to run by committee and I wholeheartedly agree. We also plan to use three and four WR sets maybe more than any team in the league. I count three certifiable WRs on theBills roster or three WRs that can readily beat one on one coverage. The rest really cannot I don't think. If I'm in charge we have a WR by the third round absolutely and I don't blink if that's the guy in round one. We need more talent at WR for sure and definitely more than RB. My dream offseason to come: - Sign Ertz -we need the talent. - Go WR, DT, CB in the first three picks of the draft. (All three positions are big needs where we can get guys that can help as rookies in this draft). - Acquire bonafide NFL vet pass rusher (like Von Miller) prior to trade deadline. Make room in the cap and go for it! Now we have hit all five positions this Bills team is currently weak at: DE, WR, TE, DT and CB with real solid players. - Win SB. - Rejoice Go Bills!
  14. It's true we were being held, but we also play that weird defense where the ends don't rush most of the time. Especially during the regular season. It's tough to say what we're doing on defense half the time. Way too passive for me. I don't think Bruce Smith gets 15 sacks for us under McD. SO, Houston would be lucky to get six here. I'd have to rewatch the the chiefs game to see if Jerry and Mark were going full boar at the QB or not....
  15. After the draft is also when we will know if we acquired Zach Ertz or not. I want Ertz a lot, but at least James would make our TE room a viable unit.
  16. I think because A) they were all hurt last year in the playoffs (except for Diggs who became doubled every play) B) Beasley and Sanders are slender and old. C) you build a SB winnng roster with great depth and balance. D) I'd feel a lot better about their chances after we add Ertz and Kadarius Toney or a reasonable facsimile.
  17. I think trading for Ertz plus drafting another WR like Kadarius Toney makes us elite. Assuming Ertz helps both run and pass. Assuming the line is better with more time together. Assuming the line is better with our four (3 or 4?) upgrades with the minimum being our LG position plays better this year. Ertz will help so much in the pass, plus help Dawson (and the young TEs). Toney gives us incredible quickness and speed. He gives us serious depth for when injuries hit (and they are going to hit and then we will be so happy to have Toney). And perhaps one of the defining traits of an elite offense is having elite depth. Yes, it is. I think the run game is going to be better with Allen another year older and everyone in the offense, another year together. Both main RBs another year together. Hopefully, the new back is a quick study, he should be as he is vet playing multiple offenses. I cant stress enough what an advantage it is that we kept together, Daboll and Allen, all the coaches and most of the players. It is HUGE! I think the goal should be to create a truly elite offense and to add those two to do it. At the very least, Ertz and drafting a WR by the fifth round. I'd be OK with Eskridge who might be there in the third. Ertz + Eskridge: I'd be happy with that. Dawson Knox, Matt Breida, Hollister, McKenzie, Gabriel Davis, Eskridge, Singletary..... All resting Diggs, Beasley, Sanders, Ertz and Moss regularly.... Thats, imho, what you need to last 20-21 games in a row to win that Super Bowl. Then, our first two picks (and the rest of the draft for that matter) could be defense: hitting DE/DT or CB with the first two picks and try to hit gold at the position we miss with the rest of the picks..... Everything, to me, looks very doable except for defensive end where you need a very, very rare athlete with toughness, brains and dedication to dominate. My thinking is that the best way to do that may be to try and get a vet before the trade-deadline.... You know, get Ertz, draft the DT, CB and WR with our higher picks and then add that vet that takes us to the promised land. Finally win that SB! Thats how you do it. Thats how you win a Super Bowl. We can keep pushing monies into the future as long as we are a contender and then pay for it and have a reload year. Allen will still be young enough to rebuild. We have a losing season, eat all that cap monie and get back under. Get compensatory picks, higher picks from the losing season and reload the following year. Hopefully, we do the right thing and actually build a SB team this year. Win that SB. Maybe we can win another? Spend that dough, Mr. and Mrs. Pegula! S-U-P-E-R-B-O-W-L!
  18. I want to exchange 30, 61 and 93 for ~ 40, 50 and 60 or there abouts. I think we can get three really solid players this way....problem being probably can't get a pass rusher.... But we could get WR, CB, DT.....three good ones.... Trade a fifth for Ertz. DE would be our only hole.
  19. I think the Bills are five good players short of competing for a Super Bowl. A WR, TE, DE, DT, and CB. A WR because the season is too long and arduous to count on what we have. A TE because Allen and Dawson are on the wrong page and really only have two now. We could use a better blocker than what we have as well, that is, we need a starter at TE, imho. A DT, as this post points out. A DE as we all know this is a huge need. And a good corner to allow us to play more man. I think it's reasonable to assume we can get three of these with the draft picks we have so we need to get two more from some other way: trade or the waiver wire as teams fight to get under the cap. Just no way Diggs, Sanders, Beasley lasts the year and our other receivers scare nobody with a good secondary; that is, a playoff team. I'd love to draft Kadarius Toney and immediately throw him into the rotation at #4 and to use Gabriel Davis and McKenzie as much as we can scheme them in there. To really cut down Diggs, Bradley's and Sanders touches as much as we can. Can Hodgins be the man? I guess it is possible but I think we really need another WR for the 20-21 game season anyway. If Hodgins is good, he'll find his way onto the field.
  20. Is Barmore a one-tech?
  21. Noooooooooo, is right. Don't let him go, Beane! Talk about a seamless backup.... Marlowe is that.
  22. Trade a 6th rd. pick for Zach Ertz and sign Dean Marlowe, then go into the draft.... WR or DE at one, CB at two, DE or WR at three. Then trade up the pair of fives to get a DT.... Finish draft with BPAs....
  23. Very nice summation. Spot on. I am a Singletary fan and told my brother (who gave up on him) that they have to go back to the plays Singletary ran as a rookie... I feel smart now.... Go Bills!
  24. What we need, and we need it badly is for Cody Ford to step up and join Feliciano in being a bad-ass lineman but we need Ford to also be a technically better lineman than Feliciano. We really need Ford to take a huge step forward. Then acquire Zach Ertz. Then draft a WR with deep speed (or Toney or if not a RB) with our top pick. And then our offense should really be prolific. Go CB, DT with second and third. Still no answer for pass rush but we'd have everything else....
