  1. I'd take LB out of the your list: DT, TE, CB and then perhaps OL depth. LB depth has never been better. Knowing we are not that weak at any position and all teams are quickly decimated by injuries to one position. The Bills are the third best team in the league until further notice and that's pretty darn good. Go Bills!
  2. They were all activated today so perhaps they'll play a little....
  3. I'd have to agree here, our goes are going to try to run right up the gut on us and it's up to those guys to stop it. It ain't gonna be all sunshine and roses. The plan is going to be to try to keep Alan off the field as much as possible. I hope we look at it as an exciting challenge.
  4. What's up with the ravens? Trading with AFC playoff competition...... First KC inexplicably....now the cheaters..... Still mystified by the KC trade.... What are they thinking? And it wasn't like that OT didn't have value elsewhere. There had to be a nfc team to trade him to, no? Are we going to get a cb? I doubt it cuz we need an outside one and those guys don't grow on trees... We probably go with an old washed-up guy again? or no one? Wah!!! I wanna won the Super Bowl!
  5. I'll be the first one to admire t NE's roster is loaded, but we have Josh Allen, not them, and our roster is pretty damn good too. NE will come in second to us but so what? We're coming in first and we are going to sweep the East again. Watch. Go Bills! (as long as covid doesn't destroy us.....) sigh.... :... (
  6. Yes, you cannot play scared. Get a TD Drive and call it quits.... Easy-peasy. I'm excited! Allen, Dawson- Feliciano-Morse- Ford - Williams, Diggs, Sanders, Beasley, Knox and Singletary. Defense: Jerry - Star - Ed - AJ, Edmunds - Milano, Wallace, Taron, Hyde, Poyer, and White! Will AJ get the start? I think he's ready. Maybe piss Addison off and get him playing harder. We haven't seen them since January! Watched the colts game recently....That was a tough game! Allen's weapons were hurt. WE NEED MORE WEAPONS! Sign Ertz!
  7. But can they stop the run? I think that's the big question. That's how teams are going to play us. No one (but KC) wants to get in a shootout with Josh slinging it Allen. Who on the Bills is going to play tackle and eat up blockers play in and play out? Are our ends tough enough to do that? I watched Basham at tackle and he might be able to help. I wish we had Ted Washington. I really do. If we had him, all those teams looking to run on us would be ruined (as long as Ted was on the field, he'd stack the whole play up.) Vernon is the closest thing we have to Ted because t I think he plays too high. Maybe Star can help, but he's on y good for limited snaps. Zimmer is more of a knifer, but every tackle is taught how to stack. I really loved our draft, I like every pick, but especially the first three. We needed them all. The trouble is we needed a CB and a DT, imho.... and a TE (LOL!) We could use a guy like that old DT on Tampa. A real shutdown guy. He's no Ted Washington, but He is the closest thing to him I can recall now. I expect a DT #1 next year. Then G/C, CB, WR/TE..... I expect to be disappointed with the DT, somehow I expect the Bills to draft a smaller athletic type (like Star) of one-tech whereas I want a big monster, like Ted Washington. 22 hrs. to Bills/packer kickoff. Do both teams run their #1s a bit? It feels like the Bills have to in order to field a team.... This would be quite the matchup in the regular season though I like the Bills here. Allen has more weapons at his disposal. The teams are pretty close though as the packers have a good line, running game and defense. Good, not great.
  8. Joe's bringing back Hollister after placing guys on IR so it's cool there. I guess he sees Hodgins and is very impressed. I think WR depth is crucial to out run. It definitely contributed heavily to our demise last January. Allen was too alone. Yes, the OL needed to be better, but Allen's weapons were gone just about. Playing with injuries that compromised their game heavily. I'd love to see Allen's numbers go up, but Diggs and Beasley's numbers to go down without injuries taking place. We need to use a whole arsenal. The more the merrier. 7 DEs is kinda crazy anyway you look at it. You figure two are going to be inactive each week.... IDK? Can more than five play effectively? We need help at outside CB. Bates and Doyle are questionable depth at OL (at least, that's how Bates looked to me at center vs. Chicago.) The NFL season is sooooooo long..... I hope Beane creates miracles along the practice squad over the fall.... Were going to need them.
  9. With Phillips injured, I question our ability to stop the run. Should Beane be looking for a stout DT to shore up our interior? Ed, Star, Vernon and Justin. Not the greatest collection of run stoppers you ever saw. It looks worrisome to me.... Could Beane surprise us and claim a DT? I would it exciting if we kept 8 WRs. I think we are going to need them.
  10. The OL has had a training camp together. Feliciano is playing lighter and that is good as you could see once he went in a direction he was done. Maybe not so much now. On top of that Ford is playing RG and that's the way we are going to run. Look for Our center, Morse to look better this year playing in between two better guards. The more you do anything with a group of guys the better you get. They'll be better this year. On top of that, Daboll's #1 priority by far last season was developing our QB and developing a passing offense for said QB. That takes an incredible amount of time to do that. The run game (coordination) fell by the way-side. We worked on it this summer and Billieve me it will be a lot better. Singletary and Moss are good backs that are hungry. They're going to prove a lot to fans this year, watch. Imho, Singletary is the better one, often reminding me of Thurman Thomas the way he runs. He is not good at avoiding hits like Thomas was at the end of plays (so he can keep playing and not get hurt) but he is very quick and extremely elusive nearly always making the first tackler miss. He is slow but has an extremely quick burst, shakes and shimmies, can't be armed tackled, he's good. I think our defense usually looks pretty good. They looked pretty good vs. the colts and ravens last winter in the playoffs. Its not a great defense, nor will it be unless Tremaine (the guy the defense runs through) is great. However, Tremaine is good and so is our defense. Maybe he'll be better this year? Maybe the age thing is real for him? If he does get better, so does the whole defense. The front four will definitely be better this year with all that depth. We lack a stud DT though...maybe next year? Maybe Ed somehow breaks out? I thought it ducked that Harry hurt his knee. He was playing well in preseason and training camp. I think we're the third best team in league behind KC and Tampa. I think we're there solidly and all alone. We have a true MVP candidate in Allen and we surrounded him with very good football players. We have no real weaknesses, that is, we're not bad at anything. I sure would like Ertz, another starting level corner and Phillips to have a brand new knee. Ertz to have another guy to run a lot of offense thru. I'm worried we are going to run out of weapons again exactly like we did last year. Ertz can help us there a lot. We sure are thin at CB. At least we know who our dimeback is, See: Pittsburgh. We need guys that will shutdown the run like manly men. Not sure we have enough. Harry would help here, imho...It's a lowdown, dirty shame, but that's life for you. So.... That's why we're #3. - Great player at most important position by far. - No big holes anywhere (though I wish Harry was healthy. Maybe we can luck out in the waiver wire. Sometimes great run stoppers become available.) - We're better than last year. See: held team together even the coaches which is a huge thing. Signed Sanders which is also huge. Had a great draft apparently. Very hard to do from pick 30 but all signs point to yes.
  11. The defense is also healthy which wasn't the case the last time we matched up although the Stealers did have both their blue chippers on D (Watt & Heyward). What I'm hoping is that they simply cannot match up with our four-wide set or even out three-wide for that matter and we simply pass right over the strength of their D. Our line should be able to pass block as it did well last time except for the Heyward matchup. Fortunately, Allen just ran away from him. Maybe with Ford in there we match up a little better this time. It'll be a lighter Feliciano this time that gets the brunt of him. Anyway, it is their secondary that is suspect, especially their depth, imho. Make no mistake though, this is one of the bette defenses we will be playing all year. We'll get our first look at our new DL vs. Pittsburgh and I hope it is exciting. Big Ben is now a sitting duck as he is old and our new DL are huge. Bad mix for Pittsburgh. Like always, we have to stop the run, get Pittsburgh to punt. Give the ball to Allen and not screw up on Special Teams. Pittsburgh really lacks the OL and the secondary to go toe to toe with us on paper plus Allen and his WRs are much better than Ben and his. So, that's four advantages Buffalo. I give the Stealers the better front seven so that's two for them. Maybe RB as well though their's will be playing his first game. But we have a better secondary particularly at corner. Bills-31, Pitt-21 (If the Bills are fully healthy.) QB - B by a mile. RB - Pitt by a hair. Buffalo's RB pair is underrated. You'll see. You will all see! (Not crazy about Breida Though). WR - B OL - B DL - Pitt But Buffalo will close all year. (Should) I really am impressed with Heyward. We have no one like him. LB - Pittsburgh - they have four! Watt is a LB. Secondary - Bills, but perhaps a draw at Safety. Who is Pittsburgh's nickelback? Dime? The Bills nickelback starts. Jackson should do well at dime, right? right? How often will the Bills go big on O? Does Brown get a taste? As a sixth OL? Or in for a tired Dawson? I don't know if we want to big very often, kind of playing into their strength. Spread them out and throw.... I, for one, hope the new 2021 Allen runs less than his predecessor. I hope Singletary looks good and confident as a run option. Even against a Pitt strength. The first guy hasn't got Singletary all preseason. That's his strength. Just give him a little hole.... Go Bills!
  12. WHY??? Because he catches the damn ball!!! i have no idea whether he can block or not (or who he can block?) Go Bills! Etrz! There, I said it....
  13. Count me in with those very nervous. Are the Stealers battling injuries too? I hope so! There, I said it. If we are beat up for the Stealers game and they are healthy we could be in trouble. I love that Basham pick but just can't help thinking how things would look now hard we acquired a just as good, outside CB? Was there one? IDK? I think it would have been the Syracuse kid? IDK? I will say this, you have to draft BPA. I will also say this, we needed A LOT of DL help. In fact, I see us going DT #1 next year, too! Maybe we can go CB #2? But we have to draft WR and interior OL as well. Building a team is super hard work. Beane should be highly congratulated for this draft so far, in fact, just for finding a swing tackle in the third freakin' round! That's how you win Super Bowls! You find OTs in the third freakin' round! And I for one, am not sure what we do with Edmunds. I like him but so far, I do not see a big money player at all. I do see a medium money player though. This means I am in for a shocker should the Bills decide to Shock the world and go MLB next year if one falls. Those wanting to hate me for intimating this notion rewatch the KC game....Tremaine was a bit of a no mas, imho. The Bills D needs a bonafide true-blue pro-bowler at MLB to create a true-blue scary defense in Buffalo. All things run through that MLB in McD's D. That's a fact. I sure hope Tremaine shuts me the hell up come September 12th vs. Pittsburgh and continues on through the season. I'll be certainly rooting for him all the way! C'mon Tremaine! Play fast, play hard! Go Bills!
  14. Who thinks Rousseau should gain another thirty pounds and be Super Mario clone (but without the injuries and suspect effort.) Or, should he stay at his current weight and be more of a Simeon Rice copy? The way he moves I can see a Super Mario. Groot is just so strong already, imagine him with thirty f***ing pounds of muscle added on to that frame! Or, he could learn tons more of pass rushing moves and play more with speed and athleticism. Develop an arsenal of pass rushing moves?
  15. Seattle at Indy is another great matchup on CBS so I'm surprised we got the #2 team. Usually, we don't get squat. Even though the Bills with their tough schedule kept the NFL afloat last season with great games to watch..... Pittsburgh is going to give us all they've got in week one. If we're ready, ready for a big swing or two, we should be able to handle them. Though we have to play four quarters as well, as Ben can come back. I think I'm going to start a weekly appreciation practice of thanking 29 NFL teams for not taking Gregory Rousseau. Thank you, Stealers. Thanks for drafting a RB instead. Thanks for drafting Nanje Harris. (LOL, I hope he doesn't burn us! Knock on wood. No, if we can't stop the run, we don't deserve a Super Bowl!) Anyway, I have to thank the whole NFL community for being down on Gregory Rousseau. The Bills got few if any good draft grades this year with the Groot pick. I know I'm crowning him a nfl success far too early, but you can see Greg is gigantic with super long arms and is very strong and athletic. Just wait till next year after he gets a season of professional weight lifting and a second season in Buffalo. Hopefully, the Bills don't lose too many defensive coaches this offseason. ... I think this is the year our new(er) DL earns his money. Last year, ######ed our learning season due to covid. Now, Daryl Johnson is changing his name to Bam and is looking like a different player. AJ seems ready as well. And the rookies seem mean and hungry. I love it. If we lose Leslie, it looks like he becomes coordinator. The Big question is though.... Can Tremaine play with purpose and take players out with tight coverage. Stop RBs in their tracks and possibly beat a block once in a while? That's what we need to see this year from him to beat the chefs, imho. Tremaine has to step up! When F***ing Kelce is anywhere near him, go to him and play him tight, you won't be sorry, Tremaine. Don't play loose zone and treat him like a non-threat. Take him out and get the sack (with our new pass rush). Or get the INT. That's what needs to happen.... Thoughts?
  16. Where was Andre Smith last year!??!? what, was he hurt? Or something? IDK? He sure looks like a LB this year!
  17. This is some exciting stuff! DJ Daryl Johnson ain't playing bad either..... We can do this! (Maybe) We havta watch KC's dastardly duo A LOT closer.....a lot tighter. Can we do that? What a crazy battle that is going to be....
  18. This was the play where Fields got up limping..... Quite a plant.
  19. Whyte is a kick returner..... Just don't know how good or bad he is? But he has NFL experience..... Maybe he'll get revenge vs. Pittsburgh and get a long return? Injuries can really screw any team any time. The Bills work very hard to be in excellent shape to avoid them but.... What are you going to do? ***** happens.... Go Bills!
  20. EJ! Think he's ready!? That's what we need! Him and another qualified backup OL..... And, of course.... Zach the bait master Ertz. Make it so, Beane! We need as many playmakers as we can get! The season; she is long.....
  21. These current Bills have good special teams but the old Bills had great special teams, with Christie, Pike and Tasker. The Old Bills had no depth at WR. OL depends what year. New Bills after House and Wolford left for certain. Mitch Morse is freakin' good. LBs has to go to old Bills hands down with Biscuit, Daryl, and Conlan. Poyer And Hyde by a landslide. Finally, Bruce alone wins DL. Bruuuuuuuuccccce......Maybe this year the new team wins.
  22. I think it depends on what team you're comparing from the nineties..... The Bills never really replaced Lofton, House or Will Wolford and those were three super-solid players for that team. The Bills were weaker after their departure. Plus we lost Nate Odoms to FA as well. All very good Bills. Then it is so hard to compare defenses now but I think the old Bills have it at LB for sure but the new Bills have secondary because of Hyde and Poyer. Bruce Smith was largely alone imho on the line but he was Bruce Smith. Hanson was OK. Jeff Wright was OK but we also always needed a true NT like Ted Washington. On offense, I like Allen better, I like our depth way better. The Old Bills featured the hell out of Thurman, Kelly and Andre Reed And they were indeed great players. The Bills SB OL kind of fell apart as it went to FA. .... IDK? This team is way deeper at the moment but maybe the old Bills show what is going to happen to our current team? Yikes! Though the old Bills lost Marchibroda and Polian. We're going to lose our Marchibroda but hopefully not our Polian. i sure hope losing Daboll doesn't handicap us too bad. Brian understands offense. How to call plays. Why to call plays. And how to set up a defense. He knows it all. He can coach any position. He's a stud. We need chess players behind him. We'll find out next year if we have them or not.
