I’m really surprised BR took a good look at our roster and really thought about this…. They’re right, the Bills are loaded and ready to feast upon fish, jets and pats….

Good Breakdown on Bills, KC, and Cinci moving forward

Just win a freakin’ Super Bowl!!! Come on! Go Bills! -
Just rewatched Bills @ Jets and Miami @ Bills…. Conclusion…. We need a real #2 WR…. Yeah, we got Kincaid and that’s great but we also needed to replace Smoke/Emmanuel…. Maybe Davis finds his hands again, maybe not…. Either way, we need more speed and big play ability….

4 cut candidates on Bills’ roster ahead of NFL training camp
billybrew1 replied to PrimeTime101's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don’t know but there has to be a surprise cut this year… My guess is Bates is traded…. But I really don’t feel real strong about that either…. Murray is probably a PS guy but I hope we find a spot for him somehow…. -
I’ll never forget them. Best safety tandem the Bills ever fielded easily. They deserve a Super Bowl to finish their awesome careers here in Buffalo…. Having said that, after the Bills went out got those Safties and then had the 2017 draft I thought we really are going to kick everyone’s ass. Then, we got Allen and everything took off…. Except, we really haven’t done anything like getting those safeties or having that draft again…. Unless of course the 2022 and 2023 drafts save us. Beane really seemed to attack drafts differently lately, particularly this year. Instead of trying to get the draft to fit his holes, he identified where the talent lied and went out and got it instead. Hers to Beane maturing as a GM! If Beane did nail the last two drafts,we really should be right there asaSuper Bowl hopeful (and Hyde & Poyer are healthy, particularly for the playoffs, LOL!) Go Bills!

Dabbol had Josh’s turnovers trending way down then Daboll left…. -
Allen stats compared to Peyton Manning 👀

To be fair, fumbles should have been included in this comparison…. -
There’s a lot of players that will compete for defensive MVP this season: Kaiir Elam, Tre White, Poyer & Hyde, whoever replaces Edmunds, Jaquan Johnson, Groot, Ed, Leonard Floyd, Von and Milano all have a shot at it, imho….. The interior DL won’t have the numbers Milano will have but could be more important to the defense…. We are blessed as football fans again this year. Things could be so much worse….. Can our Safeties hold up? Can KD be a big time OC? These are the biggest questions facing the Bills this offseason….
-
I was just thinking today how lucky we are to have Stephon Diggs. Because of Diggs, Josh is going to get better and learn how to read defenses and adjust on the fly. Because of Diggs, KD is going to have to be on his toes and not be lazy or settle for an garbage offense or garbage plays. Personally, I think if we win that Super Bowl this year it will be because we have Stephon Diggs.

What the Bills need to do to take the next step
billybrew1 replied to HaldimandBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
We have great receiving depth but may lack an elite #2. The offense failed BECAUSE KD kept calling long developing down field plays. It was all KD’s fault. I don’t buy for a second that Josh was too hurt to throw short or medium passes but could throw deep. That’s nonesense. The offense has two major questions this year. Can KD coach? And, Do we need an elite #2 WR. We will find out in week one. No excuses. Daboll left KD with the best football player in the world and KD couldn’t keep him there. The changed their defense in the playoffs a lot, calling more blitzes. This will be the first time in the McD era that we have an elite DL and that’s going to make a huge difference for us. Having two good 1-techs and two good pass rushers will make all of defenses look better. The big question on defense is can Hyde & Poyer make it through the year? Second to that would be do we have a second good enough LB? If Hyde and Poyer make through the season at a high level the Bills D will be good enough to win a Super Bowl. If KD can get Josh back to where Daboll left him we will win it. Those are the two big questions. The OL should be good enough. The offense will be pretty remarkable even without the another add at WR if KD can coach. We have great talent at RB. The only problem is how to keep or protect Murray in case Cook or Harris goes down or beat up…. Hines is not the answer at #3 RB….imho…. Yeah, we have to hope Beane got better at drafting over the last two years with Elam, Cook and Kincaid, Torrence and I Billieve he did…. I also think the Bills have done poorly developing AJ and Basham. It is not just the picks, imho… I wouldn’t be surprised if they both do better on another team. Go Bills! -
If KD is a disaster again, that is, the Bills come out flat…. or, Hyde, Poyer and Tre run into injury problems…. i can see the Bills losing the title to the jets…. but if KD has the O looking sharp and our secondary gets better than ever, which it easily could with Elam and Benford, Then, There is no way we lose the division, imho…. The offense should be fine for 20+ points even against great defenses. The defense will be the best McD ever fielded despite missing Edmunds. And our STs should also be outstanding. I think Klein opens up at ILB because we don’t want to put that much pressure on a very young LB…. Week one, Monday Night, road game….AFC East huge game. It shouldn’t really phase Klein. But eventually I see Milano calling the D and one of the young LBs playing in his spot. The young LB going out on 3rd and long replaced by Rapp.

This roster is clearly better with McGovern, Edwards, Shell, and Torrence added to the OL, Harris and Murray added to RB room, Kincaid, Sherfield and Harty added to WR room, Poona and Floyd added to DL, Rapp added to safety, Elam and Benford no longer rookies, Tre two years removed….. Easily a better roster. on offense there are three big questions…. Can our tackles hold up? Even with Shell it is a question. Dawkins is the only LT on the roster. WR two, - do we need an upgrade at WR 2? My guess is yes, but it is a guess. And three and this is the biggest one. Can KD coach? We’ll find out week one. There are only two questions on defense… Can we find a suitable two-down MLB? I think we can. Will he be as good as Edmunds? Probably not, but he might be better at certain things. Question 2 Can Hyde, Poyer and Tre hold up? Thats a huge question. Great players the safeties may be too old and too beat up. Big drop off in talent after them. I still feel Beane wants a #2 WR to add…. I don’t know what else they can do about Safety….though Rapp was a great signing. Especially for our three safety D…. I think the DL can protect the LBs so that have a fine season making tackles and possibly making plays….

Is this year make or break for McDermott?
billybrew1 replied to CountDorkula's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’ll say one thing, if we do win a Super Bowl this year our MVP should be Terry Pegula. Especially if we end up signing that #2 WR… The most underrated Buffalo Bill by far. That entire rebuild this year is on him. -
Help me understand the Ken Dorsey hate
billybrew1 replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
KD did absolutely nothing to help the OL….in the modern game you need a quick passing game to deter pass rushers, we threw the quick passing game away practically. We attack the edges of the field and not the middle. We didn’t use Knox, Shakir, Hodgson or the running backs enough. We called runs into run Ds and threw passes into pass defenses. Always calling slow, long developing plays with little chance of success when you call them over and over. Few misdirection plays. There was a reason Daboll called the plays he did, they were all connected into a bigger plan. I didn’t see a method to KD’s madness. The O fell apart. Josh fell apart. Daboll left KD the best player in the world and now he isn’t the running (unless he returns to form.) I think KD could be the first coordinator fired this year, we’ll see…. We should be fine right out of the gate. There should be zero patience for a lack of success. Kromer should be ready to take over..,. I sure hope KD turns it around and makes it but there is no doubt that KD is one of the huge question marks for the Bills this season. We should see a quick and successful passing game right out of the gate. Josh did this before there are zero excuses. We should also have a stout run game and it too should be successful. We should have a very diverse complete offense this year. The only thing we lack is deep speed but we’re not slow by any means either…. IMHO, while we sure could an upgrade at #2 WR, Beane still has done an amazing job (Pegula really) rebuilding this team on both sides of the ball. This opening day 53 man roster should be much stronger than last season’s and we should be able to whoop the jets, imho… -
All-Pro DT Chris Jones not at Chiefs Mandatory Minicamp
billybrew1 replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
he certainly deserves it, just a dominating player… -
I’ll just say, if the offense stands as is, we will need a lot of offense out of Kincaid, imho….
-
Yes, we have absolutely no idea whether we have a legit #2 WR ot not; plain & simple. However, I think we’re fine in the slot with Kincaid and Shakir…..and the rest. iIt is far harder getting open coming off the LOS like a #2 or #4 WR has to…. I think we should get another WR to enhance our SB chances significantly…. We also lack speed so a burner would be good to add to the corps….
-
And Shakir….and Hodgson….

Poona Ford is the 1B 1-tech for the Buffalo Bills and everyone should be ecstatic about this…. https://billswire.usatoday.com/lists/things-know-buffalo-bills-poona-ford-seahawks/
-
They have Poona Ford as the #3 3-tech, but I have heard he is a 1-tech. We need a good 1-tech and I assumed it was Poona…. I think he should be the #2 1-tech. little help? I also think we play a ton of four wide like we use to all the time…. But now it’ll be: Diggs, Davis, Shakir and Kincaid (Yes, he’s a WR).
-
Beane’s weakest area has been the DL. He was right to invest in a strong DL but it didn’t work out at all….

This is revisionist history. Everybody on this site loved the Ford pick at the time.
