  1. Hell yes! I watched that game and the defense started making plays getting the ball back for Mahomes while simultaneously stopping the Cleveland O. I mean, Mahomes is clearly a magician but the KC D is notoriously underrated and it did create the most nester turnovers that led to the turnaround.
  2. They really did whoop up on our OL and now I wonder how they feel getting beat that bad. I do think they could have called holding more often.... The only answer I have aside from Josh playing much better is to roll Allen out about a third of the time. Mostly right but sometimes left. Have a moving pocket and maybe are OL can do a better job knowing Josh is going to roll? I also think Allen does very well with RPOs and you put him in that situation.... Another thing you do to help is if we can really nail those edge rushers coming around the corner with a RB. Fred Jackson could just nail edge rushers (and DTs, LOL) coming in and boy did that slow there rush. IDK, if Moss or Singletary can hit with that kind of power or not though? We definitely lost the game with our OL getting beat and Josh in no frame of mind to beat them anyways.... Josh had no peripheral vision Sunday at all. Sometimes he sees everyone. He moves accordingly and makes amazing plays. It's not like our OL was perfect last year or even close. Josh did it by himself quite regularly on plays. He just didn't have it yesterday. if you're really nervous you lose peripheral vision. It'll be interesting next week, which Josh will we get?
  3. IDK? Who opened up those hole for Singletary in the fourth? Expanding.... Devin is a great back but he needs a crack to be effective..... no crack, no yards. More on that.... I think we really Telegraph our runs mostly. I thought we'd have that fixed by now.
  4. I like what you said, when the schedule came out I was really worried about this game. But when I saw the Stealers OL and the Stealers CB depth I thought those were two very huge advantages for us that Pittsburgh could not recover from And we would win big. The Big thing I didn't expect is Allen playing poorly and he did, there's no question. Our D played excellent except for the fourth quarter. What I don't understand is why our defense seem beat in the fourth. We had an overwhelming advantage in TOP and if we're to be a Super Bowl team, our defense has to be first rate from beginning to end. Yes, it was our offense that was overwhelmingly to blame in this game, but the defenses late collapse was disturbing to me. They looked like last year's defense late in the fourth. Yes, I know Pittsburgh has a HOF QB, and great receivers and RB but the pass rush was gassed..... Having wrote this out I explained to my self that the D is NOT guilty here....LOL....The offense collapse was why we lost (and perhaps that blocked punt).... Go Bills!
  5. But that what is so disconcerting about this game. The big matchup we were supposed to win, was our WRs vs. their depth CBs. Anyone who thinks Allen didn't have a bad game is wrong. He was never comfortable, he never looked off, he was staring down each receiver where the ball was going each play. His feet were all off (granted, I am no expert on Josh's unusual body mechanics) his passes were generally off the mark. He threw into triple coverage twice. You win with what got you there, we got there by Allen playing like a super elite QB. Josh was anything but that yesterday. Now, I'm not saying Daboll called a good game, far from that, but I think the main reason we lost is because Allen did not resemble the guy that took us to AFC championship game. But that can't explain our bizarre fourth down calls. What I think gets Allen in a game are rollouts. Moreso to his right, but he does well going to both sides. Daboll seem to take rollouts away last playoffs and that continued vs. Pittsburgh. I think if you move your QB around you slow down the rush and you give your OL an advantage. They know where Allen is going the defense does not. If I could ask Daboll one question, that would be it. Why don't we roll out Allen more often? Or, Why don't we call more RPO plays? As far as Allen's poor game yesterday I say, so what, everyone is due a bad game once in a while, I think It's good we have Miami this week. This is a team our team Billieve's it can beat, particularly Allen. He has to get back his game. I'm very glad Miami doesn't have two all time great players like Pittsburgh does in the front seven in Hayward and Watt. That alone should lift Allen's spirits. its interesting though, where Pittsburgh's supposed weakness was the cornerback depth, Miami has a ton of CBs. What Miami lacks is Maybe All-pro front seven personnel... So.... I expect a very different game plan. Not because last week's didn't work, but because Miami is a very different team. As an aside note: Allen really has to prove he can hit the bomb consistently. It's not that hard of a pass, not sure why he struggles with it other than most of his impressive passes are lasers. Still, he has shown touch quite a bit last season. He needs to combine the touch pass with the long pass and he has it, right? But he has to hit that pass or we're in serious trouble. You can't not have the bomb in your package and expect to win. Those wondering if our receivers are fast enough or not, I think no longer have to worry about that. Sanders was wide-open. I think Diggs, Davis, McKenzie and Sanders can all get open deep if given one on one matchups. We have to hit them. Go Bills!
  6. Yeah, bad week for Daboll and Allen. Hopefully they both bounce back and we resemble last year's offense next week. I don't know what the receivers were talking about, they couldn't all be doubled. Last season, Allen looked off almost every pass. I counted zero look offs today. He threw into triple coverage twice. He didn't feel the rush and move away like he did last year. We stopped rolling out Allen in last year's playoffs but I don't understand why. We need both Allen and Daboll and the OL, everyone to get on the same page and work together this week to get a big W for next week. Gonna be a long week... Go Bills!
  7. You have a great double-header for yourself there in Cleveland. Good luck vs. the giant, the KC chefs..... I pay a small fortune for the NFL package and already have the Bills and Browns games set to record (along with cards - titans which I think it is a great game between two underrated teams. It's already a big game for the cards as they have to get wins everywhere with their schedule by being in the NFC West.) Anyway, Go Bills!
  8. No, we will always remember the path to get their and Our HC will always keep us humble and hungry. As opposed to, "if you can't beat them, cheat them," and "win at all cost and if that means selling your soul, you do it, no questions asked." See? See the difference, my friends? And! And! And..... Bills Mafia means Love! (Look it up, it's true!) Go Bills!
  9. I haven't heard many pundits saying Big Ben is too old. Why I think the Bills win this game is two-fold. We win hands down two very important matchups. First off, the Stealers line, it stinks. The Bills Front seven should win this matchup handily. We should both contain the Pittsburgh run so that it does not win the game for them and we should hit Big Ben consistently. Secondly, the Stealers are hurting at CB. Both in level of starter and overall depth. We should shred them with our for-wide if our blocking of their blitz works. Last year, we had trouble with their great pass rush in the first half but made adjustments and JA17 bravely hung in a crumbling pocket and hit wide-open receivers Beasley, Davis and especially Diggs in the second half to take a commanding lead. This year, our OL might be better with Ford in their and we added Sanders added to the receiver room. You cannot find big matchup wins for the Stealers in this game. You can find small ones I think, like their front seven vs. our OL and then there's our notoriously weak run defense between the twenties and Star is out (again) But to tell you the truth, I like Harry to win his matchup. I like our whole DL to win their matchups. You also might favor the Stealers WRs vs. our secondary but we should do OK. I'd say fine if our pass rush wins a lot. We'll see what Leslie calls. Do we attempt to get by the Stealer OL or do we just try to drive the Stealer OL backwards? Tough to hit QBs using the latter technique. I hope we play rather aggressively with our front four. Maybe let the back six or seven worry about screens and such. This is why I think we win and win handily. Go Bills!
  10. Holding calls: This is a place where Josh Allen is changing the game I think. It seems to me that Josh overcomes what used to be impossible with regularity now. I think it pisses him off to tell you the truth. Just a couple weeks ago even in preseason, the refs gave us a couple holding calls and Josh scored a TD anyhow. Both calls were completely invisible with no sign of a penalty on the number of the player called. Being able to beat a holding call like that makes me love Josh Allen all the more and love being a true-blue Bills fan.
  11. Furthermore, if they watched Buffalo, it was the playoffs games, after Josh Allen's receivers were all beat-up. Sunday we are going to see Josh with four healthy starting receivers, he never really had that last year... Diggs, Sanders, Beasley and Davis are going to be devastating with Josh Allen, watch.... I'm watching GMF now and I gotta tell you, I'm a little surprised there isn't more talk about the huge game coming up in KC at home vs. the new look browns...... I know, I have that game set to record.... Im looking to see if the chefs bleed (again) But should they.... It's officially time to worry about the browns.
  12. Fans liking the the Stealers +6.5 mostly watched the Bills when playing the chefs. The chefs are until proven otherwise, our kryptonite. The Stealers are not.
  13. The Stealers got Watt at the end of the first and now we have Groot, you can get anything at the end of the round if you really work to find the answer, especially if you are willing to go BPA.... Not saying Groot is a pro bowler or anything like that but it really feels like the abills won the lottery getting Groot at our #1 need.
  14. We beat them last year, we beat them the year before, so I think we will beat them again. Josh is just too good and Star is just too insignificant. The thing is with Star, is he is our one true-blue one-tech. Vernon prefer three, Harrison is always battling injuries with his move to one-tech, Ed and The Zimmerman are three-techs. The thing we're going to miss is the new look Defense and now we cannot so I'm bummed. Perhaps Harry is healthy enough to start at one-tech, he wasn't last year. If Harry can handle one-tech, Ed can stay at three-tech perhaps. The big news I think for Bills fans is that one DT was going to be inactive, and that one DT was probably the very popular Justin Zimmer. So Bills fans, rejoice, The Zimmerman Approacheth.
  15. Last night, Both of the QBs arms looked like pop-guns compared to the cannon JA17 brings. I'm not sure how that really translates into more wins this is just something you notice when watching any non-Josh Allen QB. I think we can attack anywhere because of it. It is too hard, too risky, for any CB to attempt to jump a JA pass.... On the downside, Josh is still working on that bomb..... Can you throw a bomb fast? If there's a way, Josh will find it. If not, maybe he'll incorporate a long, lob bomb into his game.
  16. What did you expect him to say? It was kind of a dumb question.....
  17. Going to have to man up I guess. Go Bills!
  18. I think you're both right the way you're looking at it....
  19. I think we're the trendy pick because reporters don't want to pick the obvious teams in Tampa and KC. So the big risk takers go all the way down to three, LOL! However, here's a list of things that has changed..... - This team was very new last season. So now, we have a second year together, both players and coaches, and a lot of young players too, to get much better. Both individually and together. I think this is pretty big. - Emmanuel Sanders healthy and ready to go! He's a legit excellent #2 and another great weapon for Josh. Our four-wide package might be the best offense in the NFL right now. - Cody Ford. Should the big guard finally find his game he could really help the run game and solidify the passing game. - Josh Allen - He's definitely still maturing in all facets. That is, He's still getting better. - The run game. Brian Daboll's whole offseason last season was to create a Star in Josh Allen. That took ALL his time last season. He worked only on pass blocking. He worked only on passing routes and passing plays. The run game fell to the way-side. Now, with a offseason to digest and a full spring and summer to work on everything together, the run game should be better. - Our 23 year old RB is a man! And his coaches, both Leslie Frazier and Sean McDermott say it is time for him (and teammate Ed Oliver ) to make splash plays. I'm hoping the D is also more aggressive this year and that both players have more freedom to attack. - Our coaches are maturing together. It wasn't that long ago that Sean McDermott was a rookie HC. He wasn't kidding then that there was a lot for him to learn. I also think he has (had?) a problem playing chefs HC and his former boss Andy Reid giving him far too much respect. It's time Sean beats him. This is also Brian Daboll's first successful attempt at being an NFL OC and I'm certain he is learning in the playoffs. The whole team is learning about winning in the playoffs and what it is going to take. This is very real and what usually happens with young teams growing up. - Lastly, we have really improved the DL over the last two years. AJ is in a way better position to help the Bills now going through his first real training camp. Efe Obada was signed and is going to help sooner or later. Great depth is a must for Super Bowl teams. This year, two more DEs were added and they both look good. Groot looks especially good and has what we need. Pure skill at pass rushing. All 8 of our DL is going to see equal time and it is a better 8 this year. Did I miss anything? Go Bills! Written But not read....
  20. Another thing you might hope for is for our defense to get out of the less aggressive play style of walking back the OL into the QB vs. trying to get around the OL and hitting the QB.... I mean, you have to mix things up and guard against screens and draws and the like, but veteran QBs can eat that gap control defense right up..... It'll be interesting to see what the DL does this Sunday.... Only four days away!
  21. I wonder how much the Allen-Diggs leadership can raise the play of the rest of the team, particularly the defense. It is the defense that needs to play better (they both do but Allen's weapons were hurt last year) for us to win a SB, imho... Against the chefs, considerably better.....
  22. Wow! Sanders was a stealer???!!! I forgot about that! I hope the Stealers don't take his knee out or something like that... Otherwise, I'm not scared. Emmanuel is a crazy tough assignment. He's a legit first rate #2 WR and so is Davis (I think). Somebody is going to open with Daboll calling the plays.
  23. I think you're right about Basham. It is tough to come up with seven inactives, I have: (Bates or Brown) Doyle, Breida, Kumerow, Efe Obada And Then Zimmer or Harrison. I bet it's Bates and Zimmer inactive. Harrison was a beast in preseason and if the coaches are telling the truth that Harry is fully recovered he's the man, imho.... Tough break for everyone on the list. It's a crazy game though so everyone will probably get their chance eventually (to be at least, active.) And if you're a DL you're playing.
