The news here is Feliciano is back along with Brown and Star. Aside from Tredavious, we're back in business.... We will beat the Pats on MNF.... And really, for this year, that's all that matters. Beat the pats! First place in the East, Tuesday morning. Feel it. Go Bills!

A Few Thoughts about the Saints Game, in no particular order
billybrew1 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
I wonder if Dawkins - Feliciano- Morse - Williams - Brown are going to practice together tomorrow or not? I sure hope they do. On the flip-side I hope Groot - Star - Ed - Jerry are practicing together as well and with Milano and Tremaine behind them. With Taron, that would at least give us our starting front seven. And maybe Hyde and Poyer, Jackson and Wallace can confuse the NE QB? I expect Allen to play fantastic, especially with better blocking and hopefully less penalties. If healthy, we beat the pats at home. I feel poorly about playing there, against the refs, and missing White, he is our second most valuable Bill we have, especially this year. If we had white, If the three missing starters practice tomorrow, I'd like our chances of at least making the SB. But White is just too big of loss and we have no idea how the covid boys are doing. Two very impressive players this year until they weren't. I'm hoping our kids escape the effects of the rookie wall because none of them have played anywhere near starter reps all year. Groot got every start but only around 50% snaps which is unusual when talking about the rookie wall. Brown has missed many starts. The rest are part timers.... Though still POed we traded down late in the draft only to lose two players to no room on the roster. Should we have foreseen this? I guess you can't plan for injuries or lack there of. -
Those that complain we should have drafted a DT with our second rounder make a real good argument, especially for how things are going for this year. Next year Beane can hopefully make up for it. He can sign the fifth year option for Ed number one. (Though I'm against a new contract after that unless he continues to improve. We can let Hughes and Addison go and have Epenesa, Groot and Basham be our top three. We can sign Star for one year. Sign a FA DT from another team and draft a DT in the first two rounds to fix the DT position. We will just need the fourth DE.... But as far as this season goes we are not really built to stop the run against the top running teams. Star will make a huge difference if he is back at full strength but that is still a huge if.... It also seems that this year we simply have too many ends and none are top notch. (Though Addison was sure feeling it last week, hey?! I still like our three young ends... I hope they make more impact as the year progresses. I like Basham as a prospect from what I've seen. It's not his fault he is not playing. We are really healthy there and have depth there. That's all that's to it. I like the ur chances vs. the pats at home next Monday night if Star, Brown And Feliciano are all back and 100% healthy and ready to go. If that is so, I think we beat the pats. However, I do not like our chances in the big picture this year but I'm very happy that I think we have plenty of resources heading into 2022. Should the Bills keep the right players, sign the right FAs spending big bucks, and having our best draft McBeane draft ever.... As far as this year goes, White was our second most important player on the roster and #1 on defense. The defense all came off his tremendous ability to take a top player out. We have no one close to doing that now. You can't go forward without that and win a Super Bowl. I've set my sights on just beating the pats and winning the division. Although I don't think we can sweep the pats if the stay healthy.... I think the Sabres will be really exciting next year too. With the Bills flirting with the SB again only more mature and better and the very young Sabres flirting with a playoff spot following an AHL 2021-22 championship in Rochester. We send 5 or 6 players from Rochester to Buffalo along with defenseman Power from Michigan and the Sabres have a deep roster. At center: Thompson, Cozens, Mittlestadt And Krebs. All four interchangeable along the four lines.... Go Bills! Go Sabres!

Week 12: Bills at Saints — Predict the score 🦃 🦃
billybrew1 replied to SlimShady'sSpaceForce's topic in The Stadium Wall
If the Bills can win this game.... They have a shot at coming all the way back. If Star and Brown didn't get extremely ill and can start practicing soon. I'm pretty sure Feliciano will be ready for the next game too.... And if we don't suffer any horrible injuries tomorrow. We have 11 days to our next game. Which is the pats who play the Texans Sunday. So the pats can't hide plays for us, they'll need to game plan for the Titans. But we can really work on what's wrong with us. And have solid game plans for NE. And get to full health. Maybe that speed WR rookie can help somehow? We're at home for the Monday nighter besides. All these things lead me to Billieve we can slaughter the pats. And get things rolling again. But we have to win Sunday to get our faith back and get a W. If we can win Sunday.... Bass has huge day in the dome. Bills 23 - NO 16. Bring on the pats!!! Big Bonus prediction: Bills 43, Pats 23. Go Bills! -
Greg Cosell, NFL Films painted a not-so-great picture on Bills O
billybrew1 replied to zow2's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm hoping two plus a new swing tackle perhaps. Whatwe need is an outstanding two way guardand then another very competent guard.... force Feliciano to the bench where he would make a fine interior line sub. Give Dawkins and Brown a great offseason. Morse was never the problem really if you give him two good guards..,But what I think we really need is an outstanding guard to play off him.... Then, of course, we need a whole new backfield of new full-size,full speed, RBs.... I liked them when we drafted them, because I'm a Bills fan and only looked at the good and assumedboth would drop the bad but the opposite has really happened.... maybe we need a new RB coach too? But that's what we need.... Unfortunately, the DT position may need an equal amount of work.... PS - anyone who thinks the backs are fine are wrong. Beane is always learning, and it is not all his fault, but he still has a ways to go to be a Super Bowl winning GM. Back to the drawing board. No more trade ups..... Let's Go Buffalo! PS - the Bills clearly knew they were soft along both lines by drafting nothing but linemen with their first four picks but it was not enough and strangely they mostly avoided the interior. They also decided to trade-down unsuccessfully, as we lost the two players that we drafted in the tradedown off our practice squad. Sigh..... : (. I guess maybe they could have made the squad? Or not been stolen? IDK? I will admit, GMing is hard. I sure hope Beane has enough humility to admit mistakes, learn and move on. -
Don't laugh.... Daboll May be in trouble on the Bills. I have this sneaking suspicion that it was Daboll that thought the run game is now obsolete. He ask Beane for RBs that can block and now we need a serious rebuild with Ford, Singletary and Moss all strikes. Three strikes and you're out. It is going to be very difficult to fix this in the off-season. We need to fix both the OL and get new backs. If that was all that was needed you'd think maybe we could do it, but no. The Bills need a new DT desperately this offseason. The kind you get with first round picks.... Bills needs this offseason greatest to least: DT, G, OT or C/G (depending on how they feel about Williams) RBs (plural) WR, TE, Outside CB...... Sounds like a lot....

The Bills beat the ***** out f the chefs and lost to the titans by only one play..... Things need to go to the repair shop pls we gotta get healthy. It would be if we had our bye now but we don't And gotta hope players are back by then and our team can run a better game plan. Next year we hopefully can make major repairs to DT, G, G/C, RBs, TE, WR and outside corner. We need to resign Star for a Year and draft a DT #1. I'm on the fence with Ed, I just don't know but leaning to no. If no, we gotta get another DT from somewhere. Ideally, Feliciano would be your first man off the bench on the interior. What we need are two guards better than Feliciano, imho. Hopefully, Dawkins and Brown have great offseasons. Is Williams better than Feliciano at guard? I don't know? If he is a good guard, then we need One new good guard and a swing tackle, at least someone to compete with Doyle at swing. We HAVE TO fix that OL. We draft a G then a DT or vice -versa. The Bills need to look at every school in the nation's running backs and find two big athlete's and coach them up.... Beane wasted two third round picks on Singletary and Moss. We need two new backs that are strong and fast and can run, block and catch. This, along with fixing the Interior lines would solve most of our problems. But if we want the best offense in the NFL we need a big, fast #2 WR. Someone bigger and faster than Davis imho..... We got to get some athletes at WR. Lastly, we need a second good two-way TE so we can run some 12 vs. offenses that don't match up well with it. Knox is good enough, we just need another good TE. Finally, we need an outside corner to compete with Wallace and Jackson. Our secondary is good otherwise and we're good at LB with Tremaine and Milano. Only if they'd stay healthy. We will have some dough from letting go of Sanders, Hughes and Addison. Maybe not signing Ed's fifth year option. I say make him play for a contract as we try and win a Super Bowl. Get the Big(ger) DT, the mean, athletic guard, the running backs, the TE, a big, fast WR (maybe Hodgins and the other WR can help?) The Bills have to pull off some outstanding moves and draft better than anyone.....
-
"... would probably look for a big bodied DT in the second," Bills won't draft a fatty.... I would love Ted Washington next to Kyle Williams.....I loved TW but we won't even look at players like that.... Too fat and slow is their thinking.... They will wear down easily..... TW played the whole game almost.... IAnd if you can rest him like the Bills like to do, He can be a huge impact player when rested. Just tell him what to do. Crush half the line? Can do! Eat the RB on a given play? Will do five yards deep. Ted was the best..... Our RBs are worse than mediocre, they have to go. Cody can show them the door..... If we don't replace our backs next year it will be very hard to win.
-
Why we sucked so bad. 1. Played a great team. 2. Missing Brown, Feliciano, Star and Tremaine. 3. Drafted Cody Ford, Singletary and Moss rather high and got next to nothing. Philips couldn't help much either.... We knew we were soft on the lines as we drafted all linemen with our first four picks and we'll probably do the same next season. It is hard though, to overcome those huge misses (above). Great teams draft better. I hate to say this because I lauded his work last season but Daboll might be fired at the end of the season. We need an OC that can and wants to instill a hard-nosed run game. I think Daboll had a hand in who we drafted. Can the RBs block? Good, that's their main job. We need backs that excel in all three phases. We need a second TE. And above those needs we need a DT and offensive guards that are tough and can play. I can't Billieve we need all that but I think we do. And a big, fast WR like everyone in the NFL seems to have but us. We need someone bigger and faster than Davis, imho.... Keep Davila's the #3 or #4.... We also need an outside CB to challenge/replace/push Wallace and Jackson. So, we need to draft in order of need: DT, G, G/C, RBs, TE, WR, CB.... These are all rather big needs, imho.... I think we simply need too much at this time....
-
First of all, the colts are a very good team and a super bowl contender. I thought this before the game. Having said that, when you get beat that bad, it's everything. Yes, we missed four important players and lack depth but no one played well for us and the coaches and Agamemnon let the team down. I don't think our RBs are good for anything. We should waive them at the end of the season.. they are not nfl backs and shame on Beane for completely ignoring Athletic scoring here. They're not athletic enough. Two wasted third round picks! Plus that second on Ford and only four blue chippers on the roster in Allen, Diggs, White and Bass. IDK, go through the roster to look for value and it is hard to find.... Poyer And Hyde, yes. The 2017 draft, yes.... We had all better hope Epenesa, Groot and Boogie are for real. They're flashing but young. We need impact from them though.... There is more than a lousy guard play wrong with our offense. Whether Allen is a slow learner or our weapons are not as good as we think, the offense is just f***ed up. The D is good not great. It needs an impact pass rusher, I hope one of the three hit or at least all three are very good. A very good defensive line has two guys that you have to game plan for, we have none. and omg we are dependent on an old man (Star) to play DT. How'd that happen? We're missing Zimmer as well. We need Tremaine whenever we have to play a good RB, sad to say. Yes, Beane does deserve some ***** the way the roster looks now.... The Bills needs from big need to lesser needs: DT, G, G/C, RB, CB, TE, WR.... The Bills need a second good all around TE to run some 12 offense and run the ball (behind our new line and to our new RBs.) The Bills also need an upgrade over Sanders (and Davis). A big, very fast WR like every team in the NFL seems to have. How do we have none? Someone to change the way safeties play us. Get the DT and the guards is just the first important step. We should have money by letting go of Addison, Sanders and Hughes plus we have 9 picks. If Beane can draft better, make every single pick count, we have a chance. A lot of F***ing work to do..... A lot.

Without Star, this is Phillip's most important game to date. The Bills really have their backs against the wall missing Star, Brown, Feliciano and probably Tremaine....playing a very good football team. Missing Brown, Feliciano, Star And Tremaine kind of guts our team. Phillips can really help us get a W this week. Not sure what we're going to do with our O-line....
-
We need to be healthy. How's Star and Tremaine? They're the guts of our D. Well, are tackles need to take the brunt of it and Tremaine needs to take Taylor right down. The good thing about Tremaine is he can do that in a number of ways. Head on or sideline to sideline, he'll meet him on the LOS hopefully. I think he can do it.... Klein might not be able to keep up with Taylor.... The sad part is that JA has to (probably) rise way up as a player to win this game for us because his OL ain't going to be there enough for him. I hope Daboll does things to keep Buckner guessing.....We need a smart game plan this week for sure. If this is a phone in the game plan week we are done for sure....

Spencer Brown placed on Covid List [Edit: Thurs 11/18]
billybrew1 replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
But Ford is a can't miss guard prospect from Oklahoma... WTF, Man?! WTF...... 😪 C'mon Cody, block! Just block somebody, man.....we gotta win this one.... -
I thought he was pretty remarkable in the jets game. He really bounced back.
-
We've got to do somethin' We need to upgrade the OL AND get better backs, imho... And you're right. We need bigger and faster backs.

Never seen Josh under center so much
billybrew1 replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
I thought Josh had an amazing game hitting on so many beautiful passes. Just awesome. Josh gives me hope we can win it all this year. What a QB. Go Bills! -
It will be very difficult defeating the team (it looks like the titans) with the bye. We just blew it vs. Tennessee and Jaguars..... But I guess it is what it is and we have to play it out. Maybe the Bills hit their stride and actually do win out and the Titans do lose two. Hey, it's the NFL you never know.... What's Feliciano got another week minimum? Maybe our line solidifies and our RBs really surprise and play like nfl backs....
-
I don't think the cheaters matter at all. What matters is that the Bills lack a good line and good RBs. We need a second good TE as well, imho.... If the Bills had these things the Pats wouldn't matter. Neither would the Titans (Who we would have beaten had we a run game. It's really all about Buffalo but right now these things don't look too fixable this year. I've come to really dislike our RBs and our run blocking (both.) Across the NFL, defense's have once again caught up to the rule changes designed to allow more scoring. If Allen had a real RB back there with him, it would help tremendously. If that back had decent run blocking and really decent run calls, those safeties couldn't stand back there all day like they are. While we easily could still go to the Super Bowl if we pass the titans for homefield advantage, I'm kind of depressed about this Bills team facing an NFC powerhouse. Unless we can find a way to really get good defenses out of that two deep Safety look I don't see how can be explosive and use our fantastic WRs.
-
LOL, it was fun watching the Ravens lose....even if it was the fish.... I don't think the AFC has ever been this wide-open this late in the season. C'mon Aints, beat the titans. Open it up wide-open! Hopefully, the Bills really answer for last week's debacle and win big returning a lot of faith in our beloved Bills! Go Bills!
-
Is the #1 seed that big of a deal anymore?
billybrew1 replied to streetkings01's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes. It really is. I can't see the Bills going to the show if they don't get that bye..... imho anyhoo.... Go Bills! -
It'll be very interesting next season seeing how the Bills handle the last year before JA's huge money kicks in. Are you for splurging for a very good shot at the Super Bowl? Or, would you prefer another attempt similar to this off-season? Me? I hope we go for broke. Though first and foremost I hope we really nail the draft and I really love that we have all our picks plus two extra. If Beane is good we can fix a multitude of things just from the draft..... But FA comes first and if there's a dominating guard who just finished up his fourth year and is a FA, preferably from an AFC foe, I'd love signing him. Then perhaps a surprise DT signing? Or outside CB? Or, a big running back? I think we to go RB in the 2nd round if Moss and Singletary are indicators of what third round pick RBs are. Maybe draft one in the 2nd and sign another big back to a modest contract to back him up. Really fill out the team in FA, turn a page along the DL and save money that way.....Use the first rounder on a DT to play with Star (But let go of Hughes and Addison) let go of Ed..... Sign a bigger Vet at DT for the rotation..... Draft OL with 3rd, and 4th round picks if they are there.... Really rebuild both lines.... Get the power RB we need.... Maybe upgrade TE #2.... so we can play 12 offense a lot. Get a speed receiver to compete with Stevenson for a spot. Maybe Hodgins pans out as a big WR for us too.... Maybe sign a free agent WR as well if we let Sanders and Beasley go. Get big at WR (and fast) like Dallas, San Diego And Tampa Bay. Diggs would still be #1..... If McBeane chooses, we could really make over the Bills if they chose to. (And I would really love it if we became an offense that runs a lot of 12 with big backs. A good, tough line. And Allen ready to utilize it next season..... Maybe Sweeney can grow into a good #3 TE by next season? Or one of the other guys ..... Beane would have to be pretty mature admitting huge mistakes in the third round..... But, right now, that's what I think they were. I was a big Singletary fan heading into this season. I thought his good attributes would win out over the bad . But right now, it looks like the opposite. Same with Moss..... Get me clones of Marshawn and Fred. Get me a second all around tough TE to pair with Knox..... I'd love it! Go Bills!
