  1. We only have 3 outside CBs! That’s nuts! We only have 3 safeties! That is equally nuts! it is almost a given we are going to run into very serious problems along the way in the secondary. At least the 3 CBs have some hope of being starters. The three safeties are all unknowns! We have no idea if our safeties are going to be any good or not. Fans become so delusional every offseason….
  2. That’s a fact, Jack! Beane isn’t the worst GM, but he is way, way overrated by the Bills faithful…. He has one homerun and two triples since 2018 in the draft. That’s a long time, not a good job at all. He does have a lot of doubles….singles….But he’s got to hit it out of the park more often. Best picks, Allen, Davis, TJ…. I am not looking at last season yet as it is too early. Nor this season but this one could really bite him in the ass…. I like a lot of the picks, but we need top shelf talent badly. Aside from Ray Davis, who maybe a shooting star, just another bunch of solid but unspectacular prospects. Perhaps the little pass rusher amazes? what the Bills need is another 2017 draft. Maybe next year….
  3. I think it’s the jets easy. Miami lost Christian Wilkins and Raekwon Davis. Wilkins is a probowler who gave us fits.
  4. CB is our weakest spot right now…. Arguably no one on the outside after Elam. Benford is no solid oak there. Douglas is old and Elam is still a big question mark. We need a fourth outside corner and we need one bad.
  5. I think so. I loved his highlight reel, he fills a huge need, I just loved the way he runs. He is a natural running and catching as well. I predict he plays a very important role for us this season and possibly early on as well…. A great pick at a need position. If he was younger or didn’t have all those miles, he would have been picked earlier… I also think he picks up pass blocking fairly well. He is clearly tough…. What a nice combo of muscle, balance, athleticism, moves and speed (although he is no burner, he is fast enough to break longer runs.) I like how he would hit the hole, and go right passed the LB waiting for him with a move that didn’t appear to slow him down. A little juke and gone, easy-peasy. I think I like him more than Singletary and I liked him more than most fans. Davis has more straight line speed, more of a north-south runner…..more of a receiver too…
  6. In order for the LBs to be that good (and they were) the DL HAS to be pretty good as well… I’d say all four were able to due their job, that is to let the LBs shine.
  7. While I doubt we get those two picks, it would nice if we did. Next year, we are going to have another short roster pre-draft and we are probably going to have room for most of those picks. We are probably going to make small trade ups because it seems we usually do this for good or bad. Maybe we can get another WR with a higher pick next season as well…. Perhaps the second safety. It could be OL or DL as well… We will have a lot of needs again…
  8. The patsies would never publically admit this. It makes the guys they did take look really bad….
  9. I agree. Let’s trade gamar for a #1 draft pick….
  10. The Bills cannot consider this when deciding who gets to play. If you play players not because they are the best option you can quickly lose the team…. These are peoples lives we’re talking about….It wouldn’t be kosher at all…
  11. Diggs, Knox, Singletary, Smoke or Sanders, Beasley and Davis was definitely good enough….. Of course, we had a poor OL then…. And all our blue chip defenders were in the secondary…. The Tre White injury was huge for the Bills…. Now? Our OL took some hits with Morse and Bates leaving, but especially Morse of course. We’ll see if Edward’s or Prangle can fill a gap. Our skill positions took big hits too… We still lack speed, imho… it was very apparent vs. better Ds last season and it will probably be a problem this year as well. We don’t need fast players, we need good fast players. I think Coleman looks like he might end up being a good one, but I loved adding Davis. His big downside is miles as he has just a crazy amount of Carries already. But I really like his film and we needed a RB real bad. We’ll find out this year how good of an OC we have. Now that he has a full offseason to run whatever he wants. i just wonder if Joe Brady got his guys or McBeane’s guys? On defense, we desperately need an All-pro DL. Someone to draw a lot of attention to himself. A dominator. If we had one our decent DL players would look much better. Again, we need one bad! We look great at LB but our little LBs are dependent on our DL keeping them clean. Can it? IDK? We probably cannot sustain any injuries at DL either. I like that we appear to have really solid depth at LB…. Secondary - We look OK here but really have very little depth at spots you really need good depth at. We also lost all three blue chip players but in reality, we lost all three after the 2021 season. So… OK but real thin. STs - They also look iffy as both of our kickers make a good buck. Our punter was a hero last season so perhaps he can do it again. Our kicker had a really poor season for him, maybe he can come back… No one who is going to return. We had trouble on STs many times last season. Blocked punts, missed chip shots….blocked kicks… Very few big plays to help the team but that has been characteristic of our STs since McD took over. We are very unaggressive. I don’t like our STs coach but I don’t know who would be better…. All in all, it looks like Josh might be on his own more this season than ever….though there is a chance we get hot as the rookies play more if we are lucky on the injury front…. Go Bills!
  12. Boy! Crazy stuff going on…. One guys says Oliver was a bust his first three seasons and anther thinks Ed is one of the best in the NFL; both are nuts…. Ed is a solid football player. Nothing special but a decent starter….He can look like an all-pro vs. jags that play him one on one and can completely disappear vs. all-pro guards or double teams. Ed is actually a decent one-tech as well…solid, but unspectacular…. McBeane probably gets a C for drafting him… Average. Much like Groot, who is also a solid football player but nothing special. McBeane gets a B grade for drafting him though because he was a much later pick…. PS - Bills desperately need a blue chip type player on the DL. Someone that can make our DL dynamic. Someone that commands a OC’s attention.
  13. This is all true of course…. However, if we get unlucky with injuries again (this would be the third year in a row if it happens) I don’t think we have the horses to overcome this this time…. We are much shorter at CB, WR, DL and Safety…. There are jags on this roster… Hoping next offseason is a much stronger offseason even though we are still going to have a on of dead cap again….
  14. I am surprised Collin’s has guaranteed money….
  15. Brown would have to get way better this year to get a transition tag. I don’t see it happening. Our best hope is a compensatory pick a year after he is gone….
  16. You have to be concerned after the Josh Allen pick we have done basically nothing to bring in blue chip aside from Diggs, which was also a financial nightmare ….. In five drafts, 2018 (after the Allen pick) to 2022 Beane has found exactly zero blue chip talents in any round. We are doing something wrong and we still are it it looks like. In fact, it looks like we are doubling down on, “the process”. Instead of actually doing some much needed self-scouting and realizing we are not prioritizing athleticism high enough, they are closing their ears and eyes and redoubling their flawed efforts….
  17. Boy! Let me tell you, you are really showing off your knowledge of football now….. You should be a HC or something…
  18. Boy! It’s a damn good thing we had that 5th year option!
  19. Are you assuming we’re going to eat his 20+ mill contract? Because we can’t…. And no one is going to take that contract, no one….
  20. KC has always, always, always won with a very good too…. We don’t have at all….
  21. Boy, you and me, pal…. I don’t get the blind love for Beane either…. You could also add mediocre drafts since Allen pick…. (the jury is still out on how he did last year) and you definitely could add the Diggs trade as well…. I still say the worst one was the VM contract. Miller was no where the player he once was in Denver and we gave him a contract like he was. And he was old…. oh, and the Star Loutotia (SP?) contract. Everyone forgets about that one but it was the first of the dramatic overpays….
  22. The top two reasons we have been so good under McBeane…. 1) we got Josh Allen. Which is starting to look like we lucked out as we never drafted another player anything like him since…. And #2 - Beane is very fortunate he has an owner willing to spend way over the cap and this has covered up a myriad of mistakes. bonus third reason: it seems now that we really lucked out signing Hyde and Poyer and drafting very well in 2017…. Beane is by no terrible but he is by no means great either…. It seems lucky now as we never came close to signing FAs like them again. Morse was really good but he was paid a super amount. And last year Beane did very well with our LG from Dallas….But that signing still doesn’t compare to Hyde and Poyer, not yet at least….
  23. RB is not OK, we have one NFL back and he is best when splitting snaps… and we need a sixth LB as well… Otherwise I agree with you….
