How many roster spots do we have open? It depends on Bates signing or Ford’s making the team, Doyle too… If Bates stays I think we end up with two new OL unless they really like Doyle. So, I think two there. LOL, no more on O unless a RB beats out Johnson but I doubt it. As many as three new CBs could make the roster. Tre will start out injured reserve. We usually carried three outside guys but that was shallow, imho… if we drafted three guys that could play outside well, I’d consider going one short at Nickleback and S. Having said that they probably add two new guys. We need a fast outside WR. So one WR. A punter… I don’t know how we’ll handle kicks this year but I doubt we carry a specialist. Maybe one of the new CBs returns punts? I guess Crowell can return too. I don’t want Hyde returning though…. We could draft a LB to challenge for second string and if he’s good enough, maybe Edmunds replacement next season? Although we’d probably need a high pick to get a better LB than Edmunds…. I know people don’t want to hear stuff like this but part of me is concerned it is just our defense that makes Tremaine play weird…. I hope that is not the case. If it is, it doesn’t matter who we draft…LOL…. Anyway, that’s two OL, two CBs, WR, P, LB…. Seven picks…. We can fill out the roster for camp with UDFAs. Go Bills! PS - I’m already dying to see this new team. If the DL and secondary are a lot better we win, imho… I think the O is going to be better because we will have a better OL… I think I could use all 8 picks: CB, WR, OL, CB, OL, LB, P, CB…. It’s possible all 3 CBs make it…

I like this chart. Even if Dane can replace Wallace, we’re still down Dane. And I don’t think Dane is as good as Wallace. We need two CBs, imho…. We need a speed WR…. Or an outside WR…To give us more speed and depth, imho…. Then the big question is will this defense gel and when if the answer is yes. We need pressure opposite Von and we need to push the pocket a lot.

I don’t understand how SD is not #1? Or, at least top 3…. I think our defense is largely a question mark still. If the Young DEs cannot create pressure and the tackles don’t get much push, we’re sunk. We still also have huge question marks in the secondary….

The bigger question is what do we do for the first half of the season without Tre and only Dane?

I sure hope we sign two more vets….. (good ones) Gotta hope! Im not that familiar with Haden. Tre ain’t going to be back for awhile and I think we want to carry four outside corners to begin the season. So Dane is one, three to go (I think). We’ll draft one by the second round for sure…. Hopefully sign a vet. Right now, we’re hoping prices come down somewhat… Draft another corner around round five I think…. Something like, WR, CB, OL, RB, CB, P, OL, WR…. Depending on what we do in FA moving forward…. But we seriously need outside corners and outside corners are the rare ones….It’s definitely going to be shaky in the secondary early in the year. Signing Haden or not….imho…. OMG, now I remember who he is! Damn, old age…. That Joe Haden!

Who pays the most money depends too much on how GMs want to pay out contracts. We have one of the larger payrolls because we are going for a Super Bowl trophy as we should with the best QB in the NFL…. But thank you, Pegulas as he didn’t have to do that…. Allen would fill the Ralph on his own…. In fact, I’m really surprised we weren’t able to get an up and coming WR on the cheap from a QBless team….To sign a one deal to get his numbers way up and go for a huge contract. I guess there was no one like that?

No he didn’t! We need three CBs right now….If we were to sign a starter we could draft a WR first and a corner second (and another later). In fact, we always have a clear need. QB, DT, DE, DE and because of this we may have drafted sub-optimal DEs, we don’t know yet…. But that’s a complete fallacy that he always lets us go BPA…. This year it’s CB (right now.)

Best CB or WR available followed by the other position followed by OL, then back to corner…. We need two of the following right now: CB, WR, OL…. And you could argue three CBs….easy. Prepare for this D to get burned early and often. It’s what they do later in the season and the playoffs that really matters. I really hope we don’t lose games early that stops us from attaining the #1 seed….
