  1. The trade deadline passed a long time ago.
  2. I think judging him on one game is kinda harsh and shortsighted, especially with the offense performing as terrible as it has the past few weeks & against a defense that has owned them and much of the league. But it sounds like he'll have an extended audition, so I guess we'll know what we have by years end.
  3. According to rotoworld no incentives in his contract other than workout bonuses
  4. JoeB_WGR Joe Buscaglia Gailey says he doesn't know if Fred Jackson will be back before the end of the season. JoeB_WGR Joe Buscaglia With Jackson out, CJ Spiller gets the start. What a chance it is for him to prove himself. #Bills 5 minutes ago
  5. Am I the only one who watched the whole game on Sunday? Thigpen came into the game with about 9 mins left in the 4th quarter. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/boxscore?gid=20111120015&page=plays
  6. It's not a back peddle, it's a kick slide. A standard technique used by every olineman. If you don't use it, especially on the outside at tackle, and try to "stack" their rush at the line you have nothing to cut the defensive lineman's angle and will get burned. The use of it is what forms the pocket around the QB. If the olineman is getting pushed back that is because he is using poor technique by either not getting a good punch to stop the initial rush, having inside hand position or not being low enough.
  7. CBS has him as their #55 player: http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/prospectrankings/TSX/2012_ILB
  8. If you're firing Edwards today then Wannstedt is the replacement until the season ends. After the season ends they both have to go. Wannstedt has been here for the entire season and has his hands in how terrible the defense has been. If Edwards goes, he has to go too. I don't see any reason to cut Fitz, it doesn't stop you from looking for another QB, especially in the draft. Draft a QB and let him beat out Fitz. Couldn't it be said that they had that philosophy this past season? I see nothing wrong with taking a flyer on a small school guy in the 5th/6th/7th rounds.
  9. My guess is that Bell is still not healthy.
  10. I'm not sure regarding "one hit from paralysis" but he failed to play at all in the 2009 season, so he was being drafted based on his season a full year prior. He was also not cleared for any type of activities until January before the draft due to the surgery. And just because he has been cleared does not mean he is unlikely to suffer the injury again. Also his agents word, especially Rosenhaus, means squat. With the benefit of hindsight I agree, but with that benefit alot of things would change. Drafting a player with a serious back issue is a major risk, something the Patriots could afford & something I would not have been happy about had the Bills taken him.
  11. AVPs radio call was hilarious for that return, he was just grunting in the background. His best game has to be the 2005 game against the Bengals where he returned a kick and an interception for touchdowns. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/boxscore;_ylt=AvTbybhDg28SOC9eTnQ6xhUdsLYF?gid=20051224004
  12. Tough argument to make now, but back injury that forced him out of the entire season prior to the draft & rumors of nerve damage scared alot of teams away. Also, Gresham was the #1 rated TE pretty much everywhere that year.
  13. If he proves himself to be worthy of a new contract, yes. Especially when you are at that point competing with other teams for the contract.
  14. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/11/21/bills-could-avoid-most-of-fitzpatricks-new-deal/
  15. I don't think Stevie has once talked publicly about his contract, only when asked has he answered that they're not working on a new deal and are waiting until the offseason.
  16. May have been the one thing that Merriman did bring to the team, a rally the troops type of guy.
  17. Levitre was terrible with the shotgun snaps, but recall that Hangartner was making decent money and looked like absolute garbage in the preseason. The sin was not bringing in someone else who could play center or at least realizing Levitre could not, not cutting Hangman.
  18. Should add another one, and bring the TVs back.
  19. If Nix is responsible for the collapse, then who is responsible for their start? I think their overall major problem is a lack of depth which you touched on. Which could be blamed on only having 2 off seasons with which to build the roster.
  20. Wouldn't ticket price be the thing that evens things up?
  21. I think that was one thing that Merriman brought to the table.
  22. The last few weeks you're also missing Kelsay and Merriman on the outside, not to mention KW up front.
  23. Sorry, maybe I misread. I agree, their lack of ability to get to the QB has almost turned their defense into a Dick Jauron-esque play coverage and hope the other team makes a mistake.
  24. ding ding ding ding we have a winner
