  1. I see it going down this way. If Mangold gets beaten badly early, I suspect that his high ankle sprain will start acting up.. Tim-
  2. I thought it was common knowledge that he was back for a physical? The fact that we have three pages speculating on his "return" was amazing to me? Tim-
  3. 20 - 10 Bills Go Bills! Tim-
  4. I don't know why, but I have had this feeling today that come Sunday, players are going to lose their tempers. I think it will start with the Jets, and our boys will respond in kind. Could get ugly! In my opinion, I think that works in our favor. This team really is a team, and they look out for each other. The jets are NOT going to be allowed to push us around. Stay diciplined boys, and we will crush them Jets! Tim-
  5. Gruden is a loon.. Can't stand him on MNF. I like Jaws though, and is it just me or does anyone else get the sense that Jaws and Gruden can't stand each other? tim-
  6. Good post.. I didn't know all that about him. He is dangerous though, and should not be thrown at half hazardly. tim-
  7. Yet.. Tim-
  8. It's the "talent", and "better" I'm asking you to articulate. How is Mangold "better", "gooder", all "superior".. What metrics are you using to gauge your objective opinion? What makes you think the way you do? Tim-
  9. Well lets ask it this way. Would YOU trade the two based on how much they make? Do you "lose" anything by acquiring Wood? But, do you "gain" anything by doing so? Now think like a GM or FO guy.. Tim-
  10. I'll take that bet! I think that among the various "experts" on the TV, we get at least a 3 - 2 in favor of the Bills count.. Tim-
  11. Granted, however, I'm not disappointed. Mangold is good, but Wood is better, -and- Wood doesn't need to hold, -and- he's younger and more powerful! So yeah, HELL yeah.. I wouldn't trade Wood for Mangold.. Why would anyone? Tim-
  12. That's a good point! ^^^^ I wouldn't trade Wood for Mangold either, so perhaps this is the clincher for me as to whom I think is better! Tim-
  13. I'm NOT writing them off, on the contrary. That would be a mistake. I look at the way the Ravens beat on you, and I know we are not the team that can do that, however, we can do it well enough to cause problems for Sanchez. I seriously and truly believe that our philosophy this year in terms of pressure was not to measure success by sacking the QB. I think Edwards and Chan have approached the pressure game in the correct manner. These guys are young, and they need games under their belts. granted the Skins game shouldn't be used as a great meauring stick for how well we've progressed, but it does correlate well with the goal of the philosophy this year. The boys are learning on the job, and they've done quite well, IMO. I've seen measurable imporovement from week to week, and we're only getting better. We can bring it, but I think it is wise to get in the face rather than go for the sack in most cases. I liken our pass blitz to that which more closely aligns with a run blitz by plugging up holes, and getting the hands up. If Green or LT is going to beat us on the ground, it would pretty much have to be on the outside. We;ve got answers for your run game, and our run D this year is NOT indicative of the true game flow. We've given up big chunks of yardage but overall I think we're pretty good. If we can avoid the big play, we are all the better off. Look, the Jets get respect here from knowledgable fans, but this years Bills are not a pushover.. The Jets WILL get a game on sunday, I can assure you of that. If we play to our strengths, and make few mistakes, we win. I know it sounds cliche, but in this case it's true! Tim-
  14. Maybe, but they don't win it inside. Going to be tough to push our boys around inside, JETS.. I'd very surprised if you gained 75 on the ground Sunday? Washington or not, the young guys are brimming with confidence right now. Depends on if the refs are going to call the holds. I saw a report by the AP that said the Bills were the most held team in the NFL this year. Looking at film as a fan you have to shake it off I suppose, but we both know Mangold is perhaps the biggest holder in the NFL at least he is in the AFC East.. We all know Mangold very well, so you're not exactly giving us any insight into this team, JETS? True fans know what we're up against, and I'm saying that if both teams bring their A game, it will be a fun game to watch, but the Bills come out on top, IMO. If the Jets don't show up, we win by a 10 or more.. If we go up early by two touchdowns and force the jets to get away from the run game; this will work in our favor, NOT yours. Tim-
  15. That's why we fans love to talk. We're not actually playing the games I suppose. I'm not one of those fans that watches only his team. I watch every game, and I pay attention. It really is going to come down to who is better in the trenches. Our Dline vs. your Oline, and or your Dline against our Oline. I like our chances at both scenarios, frankly. Tim-
  16. SJ is not the fastest receiver in the league by far, but watching film on him you'll see he's very good, if not magnificent as being clever. His moves to avoid the (stuff) at the line are among the best I've ever seen. He's not going to take Revis deep that's for sure, but I'll bet he catches at least 4 passes, and 3 for first downs.. Chan might test Cromartie early and often to see what kind of a game he's having and how he's playing receivers. Crom is hot and cold sometimes, and he plays off the line a lot. In the jets favor, other than an inexperienced CJ Spiller the Bills have no burner in the receiving corps.. I doubt Chan will send CJ into Revis territory, but he is faster than Revis which could be an interesting matchup if we're ahead by a bunch? My guess is that the JETS will get much of the same from the Bills. Tight, short passing with an occassional deep ball, and a fist full of Fred Jackson running, and catching. The Jets have no answer for Freddie out of the back field with as much blitzing as they do, and Chandler will cause them some headaches.. Will be a good game, but if our D can upset Sanchez by forcing him to pass, we stand to win this game going away, IMO. Tim-
  17. Revis is barely above average at covering guys in the slot, or the middle. On the outside he is lights out, but my guess is that Chan will have a plan for SJ in the slot, or if on the outside, Fitz and SJ will be practicing ad nausium on timing routes which, contrary to popular belief Revis is nothing special, in fact that is the only way to beat him outside. On the outside he takes a way the go route by getting in front of the receiver cutting off his lanes.. There is no secret to what Revis does, he just does it better than perhaps anyone that has ever played the game.. Tim-
  18. I've watched a lot of tape on Revis, and his strength is on the outside as he uses the sidelines very well, better than anyone. He's vulnerable to timed passes on the outside but you have to be perfect on them. Where hs is mediocre, IMO (Mediocre not the right word as he is still way above average) is covering people in space. If he is assigned to SJ, then SJ needs to play in the slot if he hopes to have a chance of catching a few balls. If we do attack him on the outside, then there is ALWAYS a split second where he looks away to get his bearings. He does this on go routes all the time. What he does is on go routes, he turns away from the receiver and darts to the sidelines cutting off the route to the receiver, impeading their progress. This isn't pass interference as he's the first to this spot and ahead. This is his whole technique, and uses the sidelines better than anyone perhaps ever. In the middle though, SJ with his clever moves can beat him in the slot. I would still not have Fitzy throw to him too often, to be honest because Revis is a referee darling, and can do no wrong. Best to attack on the ground to open the passing game. Lot's of screens, and down the seam type passing. On defense, if we can get to Sanchez like we did Beck (Not likely) then I wouldn't worry too much about pulling this one out. The Jet's will be up for this game, so we better be ready! However, unlike previous years, I feel pretty good about our chances. Bills 23 Jets 10 Tim-
  19. My guess is this as well^^^ Chan is waiting for that "perfect" time to have Brad throw it? I dunno, makes me feel better thinking this way at least. LOL I can't understand why we don't have Brad throw the ball a few times? IMO it makes for a bigger headache for DC's trying to scheme for it? Shakes head on this one? Tim-
  20. Thing that really, really worries me is Fitz still hasn't thrown that deep ball effectively, and this is a concern for me. He could have thrown it ten yards ahead of CJ and CJ would have run under it?? Not sure what Fitz is doing wrong here? But other than that, we beat a team we should have beaten, but shutting them out was an impressive exclamation mark on the game! Tim-
  21. On paper we win this game! However, I am a little nervous about it. Skins are hurting, but so are we. I'm calling the Bills out to show up on Sunday. If they do, we win going away 42 - 10, if not it's close and anyone's call? Tim-
  22. If the TO game is not sold out will we still be able to watch it in WNY? Tim-
  23. Dude that is sooo my wife.. LOL I have some work around the backyard already planned, and I need to get the pool ready for the winter. It's ok though, that's why we have DVR's, and since the wifey will be all tired from working all Sunday, and the 4 kids we have, she'll go to bed nice and early.. Gives me just enought ime to fast forward through 2 or three games.. Tim-
  24. Looks like the other two darlings of the NFL are making moves to shore up their offense. I suggest we start thinking about doing the same thing. I suggest another O linemen, a receiver or maybe two, and perhaps another corner.. Just sayin.. Tim-
