  1. As many here, I've been racking what little is left of my brain cells to try and figure out ANY possible reason why we have been so quiet in FA, especially in a FA market that seems reasonably priced right now. The only thing I can come up with is that Nix and Co are leaving so many holes on our team come draft time that teams looking to move up could possibly target the Bills since we have so many directions we can go with our 8th and 41st pick. Think about it for a second; yes, tis true that we all know that Nix is going to select a QB in one of our first two picks, but perhaps outsiders give Buddy more credit. We could theoretically select a G, TE, WR, DE, DT almost anyone will be there for us at the 8th pick, so teams like San Fran or the Vikings if they really, really want someone could see the Bills as a willing trading partner. If we start filling holes in FA, it becomes more transparent to the rest of the league how the Bills will approach the draft, and what little leverage we have is really only left when you factor in that we need almost anyone at BPA at our 8th pick, and teams will start to get antsy as the pressure mounts. ANyone else have any other ideas why we are so lethargic this FA when, lets face it, FA are signing deals that are not out of this world. Tim-
  2. I always thought Brad Smith was better suited as a tight end, but whaddi know? Tim-
  3. I wouldn't exactly say that no brainer signings means that a FO "knows" QB's... Who were the retards they had throwing in 2011? Do you even remeber who they were? LOL Hasselbeck is an overrated, and now washed up QB. We don't need any more stupid~!! Tim-
  4. All this talk is crazy, I mean bat frickin crazy... Hassleback? You guys are serious about this? Is this some kind of joke thread? Tim-
  5. These things take time. I'll improve... Tim-
  6. Last year at this time I was oh so pumped with the Mario signing, Mark Anderson, and after the draft I felt even better about our picks, (Although I am still pissed about not getting Wilson I advocated hard for that guy) and going into the season I was predicting 11 - 5 for realz, not just bloviating as we Bills fans often times do. This year however, I am not even sure what to think? Not sure about our off-season strategy or if we even have one at this point, and I sure as hell have no illusions that the Bills are going to compete for the playoffs let alone the division as I did last year at this time. So, that said, last year my hopes were legitimately high, and for the first time in a long time, and we still stunk. This year my expectations are really low, and I mean low; so my thought is that, maybe, just maybe the results will also be reversed. This year the Bills will make the playoffs despite having no reasons whatsoever to believe they will.. So this is what I'm going with, at least for now.. Who's with me? Let's go streaking!!! Tim-
  7. Says you.. I think he's the best QB in this years class, and the most upside. But what do I know. Tim-
  8. I think the Vikes trade up to 8 and give us their 23rd, 25th, and 2nd round pick to get it. Then in my dream (hey back off it's my dream damit) we select EJ Manuel at 23, and then San Fran comes a calling for our 25th pick, and we get their 31st, and two second round picks. With the 31st pick we grab best WR, LB, OG available, and use all of our second rounds picks 4 of them to fill all these spots. Then I woke up. Tim-
  9. EJ Manuel for me, but he might be off the board at the 8th pick. BPA at 8 and whoever is around in the second. Tim-
  10. Well at least i got a good laugh out of the TBD faithful.. Shoulld of known better. LOL Tim-
  11. Willie Colon, was released by Pitt. Why is no one at OBD interested? Can be had for cheap and we NEED gaurds. Get er done. Tim-
  12. ESPN is reporting that former Bills wide ut Donald Jones is visiting NE today. WTF? Tim-
  13. I think he goes to the Jags to be honest. If not them, then TB as a back up to Freeman. Tim-
  14. The Colts won't even make the playoffs this year, bank on it!! Tim-
  15. The Patriot system is easy on paper but difficult in practice, and you need a Brady and a Manning to pull it off. 1. Call two plays in the huddle, one running, one passing. 2. QB comes under center with about 15 seconds on the clock, looks around, calls for motion, looks around again. 3. Key is the safeties, and MIKE. 4. Two high safeties means run. 5. One or two safeties in the box means run or pass depending on whom is there and what side. 6. Nickle D means run or short crossing pass. 7. Blitz means run and or pass to the weak side. Of course it's more complcated than that and the WR and RB and O-line ALL need to be able to read the defense the same way the QB is. Hand signals or a coy glance is all it takes and the fix is in. The deep ball is only ever thrown when the D makes a mistake, or man coverage when the matchup is favorable, otherwise it's always short intermediate passes, and 3 - 5 yeard runs until the D blinks. That's it in a nutshell. tim-
  16. I think this will come back to bite us. I am shocked they let him go, well maybe not entirely shocked but a little. Tim-
  17. Quarterback 1. Geno Smith, West Virginia 2. EJ Manuel, Florida State 3. Matt Barkley, USC 4. Mike Glennon, N.C. State T-5. Ryan Nassib, Syracuse T-5. Landry Jones, Oklahoma This sucks!! I really like Manuel but I was hoping he'd be there in the 2nd.. Damn! Tim-
  18. Except that Amendola breaks much more easily. Tim-
  19. Exactly, and if we sign any FA's this year, I bet dollars to donuts that we get maybe one or two FA CB's. So many of them that the asking price is going to be very reasonable. Tim-
  20. My thoughts were more about which yeams had horrible pass rush, like the Jags for instance. That makes guys like Mathis and Cox worth a good look. Tim-
  21. I have included snaps data from 2012 just to show how much these guys all played, along with PFF's total grade on the player. Negative grades are in parentheses. 22. For crying out loud, no QB is going to be worth the 8th pick in this draft, NO ONE!! Fitz for all the hate was 7 points or less from a win in 4 of those games the Bills lost last year. A catch here, a defensive stop there and the Bills are 10 - 6 and in the playoffs. Winning and losing is THAT close in the NFL, and I hope to God that Nix and Marrone KNOW that they have a very serviceable QB in Fitz. That means that we take the best player difference maker we can at 8 or move back and stockpile picks for the second round. Some are saying we have a lot of holes, well, yeah sure, but we also have new coaches and a completely different philosophy and I'm optimistic that the new regime will finally know how to use our guys better. Adding weapons on offense and defense while keeping Fitz and drafting a Nassib, Bray, Manuel type QB is the best move for us, IMO. Nothing on either Smith or Barkleys tape reveals to me that they are starting caliber QB's. Not yet anyway, and I think clear headed thinking needs to override impatience this year. Tim-
  23. This has Jets written all over it.. She's cute though. Tim-
