Just want to go on record as saying that this thread totally sucks without pics.. Just sayin. Tim-

Just stop with the Spiller hate.. My God, outside of Freddy who on this team exemplifies solid work ethic and team ownership than Spiller? He embraced the Bills when drafted, and sat behind Lynch and Fred patiently waiting his turn. The guy is a quality human being, and every bit a Bill than any other player in History. I say we lock him up now while the price for running backs is at an all time low. Tim

My heart just sunk - RE: Kelly's cancer battle

Agreed, but man the guy certainly took the time to thoroughly offer his medical opinion on the information he has available to him through media reports, and if you read the thread chronologically he even predicts that which he later learns; with it only reinforcing his original prognosis. Tim- -
Folks I was browsing the Texans message board trying to get a gauge on what fans were hoping for with the first pick, and I came upon a thread wishing Jim Kelly well (Played for the Gamblers of USFL fame) and an actual surgeon with experience with the exact cancer that Kelly has, has a very poor prognosis for our HOF QB. See below: http://www.texanstalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=100459 Thoughts? Tim-

Houston looking to trade 1st pick (Buffalo?)
D521646 replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Houston wants a QB but not at 1, then I could see them trading back, but if they want Clowney or Mack they know they have to take him in the first 3. BUT, if they want Carr Bortles, or Manzel one of them will be there at 9, and they might take our pick, 1st next year and maybe a 4th this year to do it. I could live with that if I were the Bills. There's absolutely no friggin way Pettine passes on Mack or Clowney at 4, no way. Tim- -
I'm now convinced we're moving back in draft..
D521646 replied to D521646's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like Evans too, but not at 9, and that's just my opinion because WR is not a glaring need for us, despite what some here think. I'm not convinced that TE is a real need at this point, and even if it were, plenty of talent in this draft, and not much of a drop off past Ebron. So, if an elite tackle isn't there at 9 then why not trade back? The 9 pick is for guys like Spiller, Byrd, not guys like Maybin, which everyone (Ok not everyone but most) agreed at the time was a good pick. I dunno, who the hell am I, but to me I just makes perfect sense. Tim- -

See above, I do NOT know it for sure, but in my analysis and breaking down the logic I see it that way. Tim- -

Wow, I honestly didn't think that this would cause this much of a stir. Let me clarify my no player other than those three statement. What I meant was that IMO in a position of real need, I see no other players worth the 9th overall pick. Some like Watkins and Evans (including me at one time) but we picked up Williams who I think solved that particular problem for us. We have depth at WR, depth at TE, and Lewan is not worth the 9th pick, and Gabe Jackson in the 2nd solves that problem for us. There are a slew of talented LB and OT, OG in this draft and I trust that Whaley and Co have solid grades on exactly what they're looking for here. To me it makes perfect sense to trade back as far as reasonably possible and collect value. Tim- -

Who would you draft at value at 9 if those three are not there? im- -
If Clowney and or Mack or Robinson are not there at 9, no other player is worth the 9th overall pick, IMO. I think Whaley and Co know this, and as luck would have it, this draft is indeed deep at the positions we really need to fill. We move back, and maybe even twice, and I think I am coming to like that strategy better. I like Evans, and Ebron, but I don't think they are sure fire hits at 9, and I wonder if others are comfortable with this if it played out this way? Thoughts? Tim-

Why not trade a Graham for a Graham?
D521646 replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I guess people really do watch different games? In two years I do not think that TJ has dropped a single ball that was catchable. Tim- -
Why not trade a Graham for a Graham?
D521646 replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't like it at all. Unlike the peanut gallery, TJ Graham is not a bad receiver. He was open on MOST of his thrown to attempts last year, MOST of the failed attempts were not his fault. I think with some consistency at QB, we see a great player emerging this year. Tim- -
So pre draft, and speculating heavily on how teams will draft I have managed to come up with how I think the AFC ranks in terms of power. Here goes, and chime in with how you se it? 1. Broncos 2. Pats 3. Colts 4. Cincy 5. Chiefs 6. Chargers 7. Ravens 8. Steelers 9. Bllls 10. Jets 11. Houston 12. Browns 13. Titans 14. Dolphins 15. Jags 16 Oakland Where am I going wrong? Tim-

Offensive Line Draft picks are more successful
D521646 replied to D. L. Hot-Flamethrower's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My thoughts are in line with yours. I would have no issue if the Bills took an OL at 9, BUT I would prefer that they wait until the 2nd, or 3rd where they can get the likes of Moses, and Jackson. I am also warming to the idea of grabbing a QB in rounds 5 or later. Tim- -

Post Free Agency Bills Mock Draft
D521646 replied to BIllsNation's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like the draft as well and wouldn’t hate it that’s for sure, however if it were me, I like your 1st pick, and I can live with 2, Jenkins, but 3, and 4 although not terrible I would prefer Morgan Moses at 2 and Branden Thomas at 3. I see you have Colt Lyerla as UDFA and a lot of people do, but I would actually take him in the 4th instead of Jenkins in the 2nd. I have Jackson and Lynch in the exact same spot as you do. See my post yesterday : http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/166760-a-no-trade-mock/ All in all, good draft though. Tim- -
I agree it will be Mike Evans
-
Thanks, and I agree on Lyerla, but something tells me this kid is going to be great at the next level, and I'd hate to miss out on him by waiting too long, but I can see where and why some think he is UFA material. Tim-
-
By the way I generally don't do mocks but I am super bored and wanted to have some input. Realistically, I think the following happens assuming no trades. Mike Evans. WR Morgan Moses OT Branden Thomas OG Colt Lyerla TE Andrew Jackson ILB Aaron Lynch DE Quincy Enunwa WR My thinking is that the Bills have targeted Evans as their pick. Granted it could be Ebron, but he has some issues with drops, and frankly he’s not a first round top ten pick on anyone’s board if you ask me. We address offensive line early, and these two guys are good picks in a deep draft. Lyerla was an interesting thought for me. Some have him going as late as the 7th round, some as early as the 2nd round. Kids has a ton of potential, and if he’s there in the 4th I say we grab him and to me that would be a value pick. From 5th round on down, you can make a case for just about anyone, but I think we do eventually address Defense and hoping we land a stud in either Jackson, or Lynch. Quincy is raw and would not start for the Bills, but he could participate on ST and earn his wings that way. Tim- Sorry for the formatting, what happened I don't know? LOL Tim-
-
Gronk, and I hate to say it, but if the kid could just stay on the field he'd probably break every TE record in the books. Past player? Warren Moon, and in y opinion one of the best pure passers I've ever seen. Tm-
