  1. Of course. I would be handing out $100,000 to my closest friends and probably $500,000 for my closest family members. That or I would just buy them nice things every year for xmas and bday.
  2. We're still talking about the number 10 overall selection though. I actually like Stephen Hill, its just its crazy to think someone can catch under 50 passes in his career and be a thought for a top 10 draft spot.
  3. Miles Burris. From SDSU, this kid is prime. Sorry to have posted no information but his name before. I have a couple of good friends who go to SDSU and for the last couple of years have been raving about this linebacker there, Miles Burris. Burris pic: http://www-rohan.sdsu.edu/~cba/news-online/11-Sept/Burris.jpg Burris is a linebacker from California (6-2, 245) who played for SDSU. As a junior, Burris was named to the all-MWC first team while also being the Mountain West's sack and tackles-for-a-loss leader (2010). He recorded team-leading totals in tackles (80), tackles for a loss (20) and sacks (9.5). Leading into the 2011 campaign in what was his senior year, Burris was the fourth Aztec to be named to the preseason Lombardi Watch list which includes current Bills' linebacker, Kirk Morrison (2003 and 2004). As an FYI, the annual Rotary Lombardi Award honors the top lineman in the Football Bowl Subdivision. Eligibility for the award is limited to down linemen, end-to-end, either on offense or defense, who set up no farther than 10 yards to the left or right of the ball, or linebackers who set up no farther than five yards deep from the line of scrimmage. On to 2011: Burris was once again selected to the All-Mountain West Conference First Team for a second straight year (voters include the eight head coaches and a select media panel). He is the first Aztec to do so since, you guessed it, Kirk Morrison (2002-2004). The senior leads the Aztecs in tackles (72), tackles for loss (19.0), sacks (8.0) and fumble recoveries (3). He ranks eighth in the country in tackles for a loss (1.58/g), tied for 19th in fumble recoveries (0.25/g) and tied for 32nd in sacks (0.67/g). Burris has at least 0.5 tackles for a loss in 18 of the past 19 games. - San Diego State football Misc. points: he was captain of the Aztecs his senior year, he is a four-time MWC all-academic honoree and was the SDSU student-athlete of the year in 2010 and 2011. The kid is bright, he's fast, explosive and physical. For the YouTube lovers, I have a link below to some highlights. ENJOY TWO BILLS DRIVE! P.S. Note all his reverse stops! I feel like the Bills got killed on many reverses in 2010 and 2011, this kids got it down.
  4. My mock draft is as follows: 1.) LB Melvin Ingram 2.) TE Coby Fleener 3.) OT Mitchell Schwartz/Bobby Massie 4a.) CB Leonard Johnson 4b.) WR Jeff Fuller 5a.) QB Ryan Lindley 5b.) WR Tommy Streeter 6.) DT Akiem Hicks 7a.) WR Marquis Maze 7b.) LB Miles Burris
  5. Did you ever stop to think why the YPC was so high? When an offense like GT is 70% run game and 30% passing, when you do throw the ball the other team is surprised, allowing Hill to earn extra YPC. I'm not knocking any of his "potential" or ability, but the facts are facts. He only caught 49 passes in his ENTIRE college career! How do you evaluate a guy like that and then say that you would take him #10 overall? Name one other wide receiver taken in the top 10 who had less than 50 career college catches.
  6. I can't. Unless Ingram is there at #10 and the staff thinks he fits. Gilmore is a baller.
  7. Ha, I have some funny videos from our 2006 draft party when Whitner was selected. People with the hand slap to the head, followed by a "What?!? Who is he!" All the way to broken ****, lol.
  8. I'd go with the median pick number as a statistician to say where they overall QB comes from and that would be the 17th overall selection.
  9. Someone with his size and athleticism should at least be tried at guard. He is still maturing as a player..
  10. Troup is like McCargo in this instance. Troup is/was a much better player, but his back is his major downfall. No one else has draft blunders? Wow, ya'll must be experts!
  11. Let's just be reminded of how difficult it is to evaluate college talent and transitioning it into the NFL. Talking heads such as Mike Mayock may be well respected but have their share of blunders for people who they talk up a lot (Robert Ayers, Blaine Gabbert, etc.). Who in recent years have you thought was going to be a complete stud, but hash't been very productive in the NFL (try to use 1st and 2nd rounders only as examples)...? Where are all the Everette Brown fans, Limas Sweed, Dan Williams, Jerry Hughes, Jimmy Clausen, etc. I'll start. 2008: James Hardy. Not going to lie, I saw him play in person once in college and he looked like the real not going to lie. Had the size to be an awesome red zone threat, oh well. 2009: Larry English... oh Larry English what happened to you? Was it the lack of tackle talent in your conference that had us fooled? 7 sacks and 1 FF combined for his first 3 years in the NFL. Shame. Darcel McBath. Had a promising rookie year, then injuries have put him on IR the last two seasons with two difference teams (Broncos and Jags). Sean Smith...ugh Sean Smith - I thought he was going to be awesome! He's been a starter at CB for Miami but hasn't been great. Has improved in interceptions over his three years (0,1 and 2) lol. 2010: Demaryius Thomas, but I guess you can say has played well as of late, considering his QB carousel. Brian Price. Thought he played pretty good last year but did nothing in his rookie year. Obviously we all have had picks we've hit on, but that's not the point of this thread.
  12. Mayock also talked up Robert Ayers more than anyone else ever did. Ayers isn't anything special...
  13. Let me edit that for you: Kuechly = STDUD
  14. You would have to go with Spiller based on his college production, his bright spots when starting late last season and because of the huge age difference!
  15. My favorite pick is Trumaine Johnson of your entire mock. Oh, and I like Sanu - completely missed that for some reason...
  16. I don't agree with picking someone in the draft or signing someone (T.O.) just to fill seats. Its just part of marketing and it happens all the time for teams that are struggling and going through low points. It happens and I don't agree with it. My pick at #10 obviously depends on who would be available at that point and time. Within trying to be reasonable, let's say... 1.) Luck 2.) RG3 3.) Kalil 4-9. (in no particular order) Claiborne, Blackmon, Richardson, Tannehill, Reiff and Coples/Ingram. If Coples was chosen and Ingram was available, I'd think about it, but not the other way around. From what the draft world has been saying about our pick at 10, this would leave us with our choice of Floyd, Kuechly, DeCastro, Brockers, Martin or Kirkpatrick. I really don't want any of these guys at 10 and I would want to trade down. If I couldn't trade down, I would have to pick between Ingram and Gilmore actually, with a flyer on Floyd as well. Gilmore is underrated and McGee and Florence are getting older. Aaron Williams will be a good player for us and Justin Rogers will have a role. Not sure what will become of McKelvin, but I would most strongly consider Gilmore/Ingram/Floyd.
  17. Sometimes you just need to make moves to put people's butts in the seats. What I meant was, Buffalo has needs at T, LB and WR before drafting a guard.
  18. Thanks, and I picked up my Dareus jersey at the end of the season last year, otherwise he would have been my Nike jersey selection. If Byrd is resigned in the offseason I think he may be my pick - or Spiller.
  19. I'm not sure. Offensive line is where I know the least about talent at the position/ where a guy should project to play on the line whether its based on game time, intangibles, measurables, etc. All I can do is look back through the past years drafts and see that no "labeled" guard was taken that high. When it comes to evaluating offensive lineman, I will admit that I don't know much. The Bills have other needs mores than guard. The teams that picked those guys had good years the previous year and didn't need to make a flashy pick.
  20. How did you know?
  21. K. Simmons [steelers] (#30 overall), 2002 L. Mankins [Pats] (#32 overall), 2005 D. Joseph [bucs] (#23 overall), 2006 B. Grubbs [Ravens] (#29 overall), 2007 M. Iupati [49ers] (17th overall), 2010 D. Watkins [Eagles] (#23 overall), 2011 These are the only guards taken in the first round of the draft in the last 10 years. Do you see any from the top 10?
  22. What kind of reply is this? Someone yesterday at BBMB asked who the two Bills were on the banner for season tickets and I was looking for the Dareus picture they used. I went to Google Image search and typed in "Marcell Dareus Buffalo Bill" and they are all right there with the first few results... From those pics I drew the comparison to Sapp.
  23. My bold/not-so-bold prediction is how ridiculous Dareus is going to be this year, easy pro-bowl and first or second team all-pro. The guy is the next Warren Sapp - they are very similar. The emotion and intensity that these big fellas play with is amazing! Just look at Dareus in all his pics: http://www3.pictures.zimbio.com/gi/Oakland+Raiders+v+Buffalo+Bills+yFN9k42izvyl.jpg http://a.espncdn.com/photo/2011/1030/nfl_u_dareus01jr_576.jpg http://cdn.bleacherreport.net/images_root/gallery_images/photos/001/132/577/128764700_crop_450x500.jpg?1318217399 http://media.zenfs.com/en/blogs/sptusnflexperts/yahoo_dareus2.jpg http://media.monstersandcritics.com/galleries/3187408_36248/02880255085.jpg http://cdn.bleacherreport.net/images_root/gallery_images/photos/001/119/766/127887863_crop_450x500.jpg?1317612024 Dareus is one BAMF
  24. Merriman makes $4M this year with $3M guaranteed. The $1M bonus is nothing in this case and he will not be cut.
