  1. I would also like to add a birthday shoutout to Jim. But really I'm more excited in coming back home tonight to find this thread at page 2 or 3 and have nothing to do with Jim Kelly's birthday. I'm sure the post I will read will be either the now famous and very irritating Ralph is Cheap thing, or why are we talking about free agency because it's not like the Bills are gonna make a splash anyway...
  2. Ah man... I thought you were just sour the day you posted on my thread but you're legitimately miserable it seems. You either need to stop following the Bills (because I'm concerned that if you continue with this attitude you're going to die of high blood pressure) or, just smoke some weed or something. You also sound like you need a hug.
  3. We're talking bout free agency because free agency comes before the draft smart guy.
  4. That's really all I was pointing out in original post. Pointing out why we're actually heading in the right direction. We have more to look forward to this upcoming year since the first year we got Bledsoe on the squad IMO.
  5. Yo all this damn negativity man... You guys definitely got fed government milk as babies...
  6. That's why a playmaker at DE and a playmaker at OLB will change that. Also nomore 3-4 plus Wannstedt at the control should change that.
  7. Damn this post can easily reach 80 pages as long as 80 people reply to the first post... This one is too smart a thread for me... Have fun...
  8. I heard Freida Pinto's coochie smells...
  9. The simple way to answer that is yes. What's 20 million for having those two guys on opposite ends of the offensive field? What's 20 million when the middle will open up plays for whoever the #3 wide receiver is and/or whoever our TE is? What's 20 million when the offense will be in the top ten in rankings. What's 20 million when you're thinking playoffs or bust? VJ will be paid at signing so there won't be any holdouts like he had in San Diego and he'll learn the playbook in due time. The guy is a beast. He stretches the field more than a fat person wearing a shirt two sizes smaller than his own. The offense will have an immediate impact with SJ and VJ. The Bills will get media attention and the amount of jerseys VJ will sell will easily bring the organization their share of money. It's a good business move and a good football move to sign the guy for 10 million. SJ I believe will get a little less than that. I say sign VJ for 9.5/10 and Sj at 8.5/9 and I think on a personal note SJ and VJ will get along off the field but that's just my own opinion.
  10. Yea you're right... Finnegan was hitting johnson's fist with the back of his head.
  11. If you felt like I insulted you I apologize but my point was that you WEREN'T being realistic when you said we couldn't sign both VJ and SJ... We already have a CJ on the team now all we need is a BJ and chill out and let Buddy do what he came here to do...
  12. There's not as much competition in the NFC as there is in the AFC that's why. Although beginning last year with the Indianapolis Mannings going down and the Detroit Lions becoming a great team the tables are starting to turn...
  13. Yea and if we ever face the Texans he could get his ass wooped again...
  14. Yea because we were so good with just Stevie. You guys need to stop trying to be GM's. To sign both will not put us over the cap so explain why the hell we wouldn't be able to sign both plus take care of Fred... Let me guess. Cuz "ralph is cheap" right? Sometimes you gotta love Bills fans and sometimes you wish they'd stop with the miserable attitude.
  15. I understand you're disappointed with the team for the last decade plus, but damn. You sound miserable. Cheer up a bit my friend. You don't have ANYTHING to look forward to in the 2012 Bills?
  16. I'm on the same boat as you are as far as Fitz goes. I will admit though he shocked me in the beginning of the season last year until all the bonehead plays came about again... But I say let's give him another year with less injuries and a better offensive line and let's see what he can do... We already paid the guy so might as well try to get our moneys worth...
  17. Well we know the Pats will improve. They have 2 first round draft picks (as usual) but the plus side to facing the Pats is that Brady doesn't look the same. The Jets are colliding with each other. I wouldn't say that I don't respect them but I definitely don't fear them. The Dolphins are a bipolar team. They have games where they can compete with the best of em, then they have games where they just don't show up (like the Bills). I really do believe Nix is going to at least do his part this offseason so u can start being optimistic once you see the domino fall... You can start being optimistic once we re-sign Stevie...
  18. You're right. Also I believe last year was our chance but injuries plagued us and I guess "we weren't ready for success". This year in my opinion will be if not "THE" year then it will be the start of this team on the rise. Last year we couldn't go anywhere BUT up because of the way we played the year before that. This year if we play better than last? Then we should be ok. Yes we DID figure out a way to beat the Pats and they ARE dangerous whenever Brady/Belichick are together but the first game we not only came back to win the game, in the second game we had a 21-0 lead on a super bowl team. The Giants layed the blueprint out on them. DEFENSE DEFENSE DEFENSE. That's where we start building this year. I love the fact we got Williams and Dareus next to each other. Now's the time to add two or at least one dominant new face to that line. I like Gailey and I think the only way he gets fired is if the team goes 2-14 or 3-13 or something like that. Nix on the other hand I believe has his job on the line this year. Last year IMO he had a great draft. This year all he needs to do to keep his job is be strong in free agency and then have THAT guy pan out and have just as good a draft as last year. Strength and conditioning is something this team has lacked for a while now so you have a very great point in that... Believe me I really DO want Troup to contribute this year but I really don't know what he can bring to the table. This year will also be his his to show what he can do now that he's healthy. I definitely believe the O-Line got "better" but IMO they only looked better cuz Fitz was getting rid of the ball in point 3 seconds. I wonder what Fitz could do if the line can hold it for at least 4 to 5 seconds for him.
  19. I think you meant to say he puts the team before himself but I understood what you meant... No need to edit...
  20. It definitely WILL be interesting to see if Wanstache gets to pick a player of his choice in the draft. I highly doubt especially with Nix knowing his job is on the line that he would let Wannstedt choose the 1st round pick but I think maybe the 3rd rounder's choice could be Dave's? Who knows. What I do know is this year pretty much is it. Fans definitely have had enough. I really do believe we have a lot of things to look forward to next year as far as defense goes. I just hope the offense can pull it together (and by that I really mean I hope Fitz can play a little better than last year) and not lose the season for us...
  21. This is my thought on why I think we're heading in the right direction going into the 2012 season. In the beginning of this past season I was excited for football as every NFL fan was BECAUSE of the lockout ending and coming to realization that football will be played. Other than Nick Barnett coming to the team we didn't really have any big flashes in free agency as Buddy Nix pointed out the first year he got here. "We're going to build through the draft" he said. The draft came and the 1st pick was Dareus (another reason I got excited. Also Fitz having the starting job from day 1 was something I was looking forward to but we didn't have any names to look forward to except for maybe Merriman being healthy and starting in Day 1, Pro Bowler Kyle Williams, Stevie Johnson and Eric Wood. We knew we loved Fred but we didn't think he would have the impact he had on games this past year. We didn't think Spiller had it in him. He just kept slipping on the field. We never thought we'd finally have a TE catching some damn balls. Now going into 2012 look at all the names we have to look forward to. Can't wait to have Dareus and Williams line up next to each other. We all want Chandler, Johnson, Bell, Urbik and Rhinehart to be signed. I personally can't wait to see what Aaron Williams will do at the CB position this year. I also personally want to see if Merriman can stay healthy and if he does how he will impact the games. Love the fact we got Nick Barnett. Can't wait to see Fred and Spiller in the mix this year and how they will be utilized. Can't wait to see if Rogers will have an impact on returns. Can't wait to see if Sheppard will have an impact with Wannstedt. Carrington looks good at depth (maybe even a starter we just don't quite know what he can bring to the table) Thank God for Levitre. Kickers DO play a big part in a team so thank you Buddy for re-signing Lindell... Look at the team we have going into the 2012 season and the draft is not even here yet. Free agency is coming sooner than that... Just imagine us going free agent crazy this year and making at least one big splash whether it being Vincent Jackson, Umenyiora, Mathis, Mario Williams etc. And then imagine us having an excellent or just as good a draft as we did last year and the Bills we know WILL have taken that long awaited step forward... IMO of course. I don't know about you guys but I'm excited to see what happens next year. Buddy knows his job is on the line this year if he can't put a winning footbal team together so I believe just like anyone else who's trying to save his job, he'll do what he has to do to keep it. Can't wait...
  22. I say we tell David Nelson to start eating McDonald's and all other fast foods and gain weight then turn it into muscle and place him at TE... First extend his contract of course and THEN beef him up...
  23. I understand your way of thinking but I'm thinking yours is like mixing a half a cup of full flavored Pepsi with the other half being Diet Pepsi... In our case (calories amount to need of pass rushers) we need a lot of calories so I say full flavored Pepsi (no diet, no Pepsi One, no Pepsi max with 0 calories) is what we need... I say we go after Mario Williams or Osi Umenyiora heavy and then spend the 1st pick in the draft also on a pass rusher... IMO of course...
  24. Hey man just wanna say thanks for posting this. I live in Queens, N.Y. and we don't have WGR here and I work 10am-7pm so by the time I get home I chill with the family and visit TBD before it's time to start heading for bed so to hear Fred felt real good tonight. To all the people on here posting about get rid of Fred and things of that nature just listen to this and see what type of person we have playing the running back position for our team and if you still don't wanna pay this guy what he's rightfully earned? Then we've lost as an organization being that without true fans you can't have an organization at all...
