IMO Oliver is perfect for them fo rthe reason you state. No cap charge after one year, they can let him walk. Provides solid play and then no commitment.
I'm all for drafting WR high in the draft. Someone who can take Gabe's place in year 2. But for next year Gabe's gotta be the guy. Barring a trade of course.
