  1. BaltimoreBillieving at it's finest. NOVABillieving is way better.
  2. That Adams guy. Will he be there at 10? You know I don't watch draft stuff.
  3. The issue here is what you refer to. With a coach that demands focus and attention to detail on every play, providing Gilmore buys in, he's going to be a top 5 CB....on a defense that already had a damn good CB in Butler. Having two shutdown CBs is going to make things so much easier on Belichick.
  4. Did anyone notice how amazing Fitz was next year!? "Fitz has a 6-year extension, and while he's no slouch (60.5 % completions, 4,477 yards, 35 TD, 21 INT)"
  5. You stole my only answer with Aikman... But Young? Sure, he was always in Montana's shadow, but the guy was really good. He's still the highest career rated QB in history. There is a trend with elite QBs lately. They tend to win their first Super Bowl with a REALLY good team, and they are just the game managers. As time goes on, they have more and more years in the system and get better and better at making their offense work. GMs can't keep complete teams forever, so it slowly degrades and becomes that once average QB's show, because he's the only consistent leader. I wonder if we can do this? Fitz just keeps working Gailey's system, while our team is built to be better and better. Then when we're healthy it all comes together and we win one as a team, and maybe, just maybe, then our core players (including Fitz) can continue to carry us for awhile. Just a thought, of course.
  6. One of my only two sport-related concussions came during a soccer practice in high school where I was goal-keeping on breakaways. I threw myself out there in front of the kick, and got kneed in the temple. All contact sports CAN be dangerous. Also, head injuries in football really could be drastically reduced if players would just follow the rules.
  7. I don't care what the exact score is. It just better be a lot to a little. It's time to expose that team and do what we should have been doing last year.
  8. Yes- draft him please. Or pray to God he doesn't get drafted and sign him afterwards.
  9. I just had sort of a light bulb. Maybe we got another one-dimmensional deep-threat kind of WR with good hands because we got good on the OL. I think maybe the strategy is to take advantage of the time that Fitz might actually have this year. Additionally, it looks like T.J. Graham has some run after catch ability that we could really use. Maybe we plan to use him underneath like a roscoe-type as well.
  10. If Merriman makes the team, and has any gas left, imagine he and Mario on each side of Marcel and Kyle in passing situations... There's no better front four in the league- even if Kelsay is the LDE.
  11. I was born in East Rochester, grew up in Irondequoit, then Greece, and Fairport. Last I lived in the area I was in Macedon for a few years. ...I didn't graduate from Penfield, but I did go to school in the same building...only it was Charles Finney HS by then
  12. I enjoy each trip back, and go to all the places I love. Then around about day 3 I'm more than over it.
  13. Army all the way Anyway. I'm from Rochester, which to me is the same thing as Buffalo. I pride myself on where I am from. Who cares if we have nothing to offer except cheap EVERYTHING, great food, and more murders per capita than NYC? It's my home town. I'm used to it and I love it. That being said, I never went home after I joined the Army. I got out of the military and settled in Northern Virginia where I have a great job and a great life. I would never move back to Rochester, because it's just too damn poor and oppressed. I couldn't have the life there that I do here.
  14. This is actually a great thing when you think about it. Sounds like Mario is a quality guy. He wants to cover all of his bases, and it sounds like he really wants to see that he'll like, and be involved with the community, and the Bills family. That's awesome. I can see now why Nix is so hellbent on getting him here. He's got more than talent.
  15. Additionally, if we sign Mario and Meachem, LT is a lock for us at 10. The talent will be there.
  16. A great deal, apparently. We're running a 4-3 this year. Our DC is Dave Wannstedt.
  17. I am wary of the short-armed Ingram. Regardless of his athletic ability, I just don't trust the pick. It's depending on pure athletic ability rather than intrinsic physical qualities that gets me. I equate the problem of drafting someone who was a star in college because he was super-fast, but when his speed is neutralized by all the other speedy NFL players, does he have the intrinsic physical qualities and the mind to play the position with the big boys? Of course the argument can go the other way. Big guys with the prototypical size don't have the athletic ability or the mind for the position, and can obviously also be busts. I suppose it's just a matter of preference.
  18. Funny that you felt a need to spread your ideas to other forums because people were shooting you down at BBMB. We can do this all day. Fitz threw nothing but quick slants all game and still got hit. It was a nightmare. We need a LT just as much as Fitz needs deep accuracy. Only then can we run a real offense.
  19. I'm just so torn on whether or not the fact that we were in 4-3 all last year and sucked is a good thing.
