  1. I dunno man. My whole list woulda just been: -I am Groot -I am Groot -I am Groot -I am Groot? -I am Groot ...Russ's may have been similar.
  2. At least he's consistent. I rate the OP at about a 6. I've seen much better.
  3. If the plan is to hire people they know to fill vacancies, then I completely agree. They definitely have a plan.
  4. Same here. I'll take Pittsburgh all day. The organization that just goes to the playoffs nearly every year, contends for Super Bowls seemingly every other year, and happens to win a few every once in a while when they hit on a QB. That organization just hums.
  5. Are you posting on a phone? I can't really understand this post.
  6. The thing that makes JW good IS his vision. It's certainly not his speed or size... We didn't see it last year, but we barely saw him, and he was coming off of a major injury as a rookie in the NFL.
  7. I hope that all these people saying we were fools to pass up on the best CB in a strong CB class also support the Sammy Watkins pick.
  8. Shades/blinds? Black paint. You and him, or you and I? I'm sorry, is no one else as worried about the missing toilet?
  9. I know someone FROM Atlanta whose NAME is Lassiter. I think this deserves more investigation. In any case. $1M is a lot for that condo. Also, the wallpaper in the powder room is disgusting. Also also...Someone forgot to put a toilet in the master bathroom...
  10. I'd say it shows even when he is willing to throw the ball. Marquise Goodwin is lightning fast, but he can't track a deep ball worth ****. Taylor's deep ball percentage went WAY down last year, and it wasn't because of him, it was because Sammy wasn't out there tracking them. The first game Sammy came back, Taylor nailed him on like a 40 yard bomb, where Sammy adjusted his speed, boxed out the DB, and tracked the ball directly above his head. Taylor has a great deep ball, but it's not always perfect. Sammy makes it perfect every time.
  11. Maybe I can help. Associate him with the Moneyball guy. Don't get your hopes too high now.
  12. I respect you. Exactly. Bledsoe was an elite quarterback. He was the first pick of the 1993 draft; a Pro Bowler; a Super Bowl QB; the face of the franchise. He flicked his wrist and the ball traveled 50 yards on a frozen rope. To think noodle-armed, bowl-cut Brady beat Drew Bledsoe out in practice is silly. The dude looked like he had just stepped out of his mom's SUV from rec league soccer practice to run the 40 at the Combine. He was 2 years of backing up Bledsoe away from being at a desk job for the rest of his life. The start of his career was the perfect storm. From his first start, to his 5th Super Bowl ring, Brady's career is the most improbable series of events in the history of the NFL. Possibly the most improbable series of events in the history of America. Haha.
  13. So, I'm not generally negative, and I love the pick of CB, and I usually trust us to draft good talent (the coaching is often a different story). However, something that's been on my mind for a while now, and has worried me for the past few years, is this: Our defense doesn't seem to be able to tackle well. Three years ago, we had the 4th best defense in the league, and we were one game against Brady and a few games of solid tackling away from 1st. What I feel with this pick, which I can't seem to shake, is that teams can continue to run towards Gilmore's side and still plow through the CB. ...Of course, White seems to be a great cover CB, who is polished and has great instincts for locating the ball. We essentially have two Darbys now, and you can't get much better in man-to-man coverage than that. With Micah Hyde over top, we are going to be turnover machines. In that respect, I'm super-excited. I feel like, with one solid, nearly can't-miss pick, we have made our starting defensive backfield a strength again. We need depth and maybe a linebacker on defense, but other than that, we have some really nice talent on that side of the ball again, and with McDermott's simplified, aggressive scheme, we should be back to where we were.
  14. I'm sure Whaley and McDermott agreed on this one, and that McDermott asked for a CB. That said, this pick seems to have Whaley's fingerprints all over it. Proven, experienced, versatile defensive player from a big SEC program, of which the defensive backfield produced a top 10 talent. This is literally how we draft every year. We take chances on extremely talented, raw guys, or we take guys from solid programs on their side of the ball, and more than once it's been someone who's been overshadowed by another pick in the same draft.
  15. I'm not sure I understand the concept of selling game-used helmets. Aren't the players required to keep the same helmet throughout the year, and as long as possible? I thought there were safety rules in place that require that once a helmet is deemed safe, and broken in, it's to be used for as long as possible to avoid increasing the odds of injury due to a faulty helmet. I thought these rules were what prevent teams from having throwback or alternate uniforms that include helmets that differ in color from the standard uniform's helmets. All that said, who really cares? Since I was like, 5 years old, I've understood (or assumed) that anything purchased as "game worn" could be anything from worn during live action, to strapped on for 5 seconds and tossed to the side, to used in practice (yes- I understand that "practice worn" is patently different than "game worn"). Figured the whole point was to rip people off.
  16. And that's more than most teams have. Many posters lament that we didn't draft Dalton.
  17. Whoa that's a really good point. What the heck? I guess it's just going by probable division champs and then their odds out of the 4 divisions which one could make it to the Super Bowl in a given set of season outcomes?
  18. Jimmys old towne tavern is the place to go in the DC area. It's also the closest to the city if you don't have a bar you like downtown.
  19. I just can't get that stupid wind-up/follow-through motion he adopted last off-season out of my head.
  20. Someone in finance got confused and sent the contract to the NFLPA. Dysfunction! Oh noes!
