It was completely different. Either personnel (Milano back), or McD took over play calling. I dunno. The second half showed shades of every other season that our defensive slump ended. Sometimes that's been McD taking over the play calls... It's the Jets, yeah, but even they were moving the ball all first half. The second half didn't look like a rebound- it looked like our D snapped back to 2019.

I voted 3-1, but I think if the defense gets it together- 4-0. We should beat NE and NJ. Then, honestly, we should beat AZ (it'll probably be close). So that gets me to 3-1. 4-0 isn't really an opinion, so much as an expectation. If this defense gets better, and we're in Year 4 of the rebuild, and our franchise QB has arrived, we need to beat one of the top teams in the league- even if we steal it. That's SEA, to me.

Kidding aside... From the OTHER angle of this- what do you do, as a coach, when a national media member questions one of your DTs' toughness? That's just rough to think through.

I once saw a nurse shark some 5 feet long. Also, many barracuda- but that was on my own charter excursion. 4. I demand a cage dive with great whites. If you don't oblige, I'm going to use it as a decision point for who I choose to marry (assuming they're stupid enough to choose me). 5. I'm not going back in the water where shark attacks have never happened before, until next year, because changes in human behavior can spark rashes of attacks in those areas, and we're in a damn pandemic. 6. I've obviously seen all sorts of sharks in aquariums. 7. I've even snorkeled the Epcot aquarium with some larger (6-10 ft) sharks. They were deep below me and I couldn't make out their type.

Heh. Yes Tannehill had talent and would've done even better with a strong coaching staff to start. We didn't have that staff when he came out, so we shouldn't have drafted him, or any other QB that year, honestly. Also, he's not close to JA. I'm more than happy with Allen. He's going to show us why every team in the league wishes they traded to #1 and drafted him that year.

I definitely thought this last night. We're starting our mid-season string of blowout losses a little early. I just hope it's not a string this time. I'd like to beat the Chiefs. I guess if we're guaranteed to go 14-2 every year, with 2 losses by 20+, it's okay... Very odd to me, though, that McD seems to have a lag period. Usually between weeks 5 and 10 in the regular season, and every 3rd quarter.
