  1. It'd be AWESOME if we could off-load Fiztragic for a kid like Robert Griffin III. I've been loving RG3's game since last year. Fitz has zero upside, and has gotten progressively worse since getting paid. I say cut him loose.
  2. Not sure about the Jets, but I know for sure we'll beat the Chargers in San Diego on Dec 11th. They're the only team that chokes worse than we do.
  3. I think our locker room is where the problem starts. Who cares what a bunch of guys who aren't making plays think? I sure don't. Pull the trigger on Edwards, and let's get this show back on the road.
  4. This team needs an emotional coach. Someone who's going to get in people's face, and stay on their butts about everything. Right now, there's no accountability. Not to the coach, and not to each other. A big softie like mangini can only make that worse.
  5. "An NFL QB, he is not. Yes, bench him we must." -Yoda
  6. Relax. It's a hypothetical answer to a hypothetical scenario. ....BUT since you asked... Let's say we have an 11th, or 12th pick in the first round... And let's say in this purely fantastic draft that Fitz, and Sanchez are the only two QB's available... And let's also say that in this fictional realm, it's possible to know everything we currently know about these two athletes. Some, (despite everything we've seen) would still choose Fitz. I would definitely go the other way. I would feel more comfortable with Sancho's ability over the kid from Harvard. There. Hypothetical enough for ya?
  7. If today was the draft, I'm taking Sancho if he's still on the board. Fitz's situation is unfortunate. The guy is a very, very, capable backup. He can step into a game with no pressure or expectations, and do pretty well. He is not, and will never be, a long-term answer in Buffalo. If all there was to this job was drawing defenders off with your snap count, he'd be great. I see no visible proof that Fitz can (consistently) make any of the throws, or decisions, of a legitimate NFL signal caller. Bottom line? Trent sucked, BIG TIME. Fitz's rise to the level of starting QB, was nothing more than being in the right place, at the right time. Incredible luck. For him, anyway.
  8. Yah, I kinda do. His performances the last two games have been flat-out embarassing. Fitz just doesn't seem like he's that much into football. Folks around here don't like it when I say stuff like this, but there may be something wrong with Fitz. He's not as wacky as Phil Rivers, but I find something a little "off" about his personality. I call him the Professor John Nash of pro football. I'm not trying to make light of mental illness, it's pretty serious stuff. I just think we've got a QB that's either in the wrong profession, or may need to talk to someone on a professional level. For what it's worth, I honestly hope I'm wrong about both.
  9. All this psychodrama really needs to stop. -By that, I mean all the psychos on this board bringing the drama. Sancho led his team to TWO back to back AFC title games. This freekin kid can play. He may lack grit, but given the initial expectations some had of him, I'd say he's paid a fair dividend. I don't like Sancho because he's a Jet, and that's being honest. Saying that he SUCKS, however, is pushing it a little. He's only 25. He may be in a slump right now, but overall, he has much more of an upside, than our depressed, disheveled, 29 year old father of three. Our guy just got MILLIONS, and yet he walks around looking, behaving, and playing like some homeless person. Sure, Sanchez has lost a few games. At least he doesn't go out there and completely EMBARASS the organization that franchised him.
  10. Hey, I agree with you on the piss poor coaching part. As far as the D goes, Edwards could be in trouble come Monday morning. Youre also right about Fitz not letting our offense down in his usual fashion. He did it differently this time. Today he simply gave up. I refuse to believe that a starting QB in the NFL, and an "offensive genius" like Chan Gailey, simply forget to plan for a presence as menacing as Ware. That's just negligence. -Or ignorance. Either way, it's a quality you don't want in a leader.
  11. Fitz is the REASON the defense is on the field so long. He's a three-and-out MACHINE. The guy can't move the chains, and he can't put together a drive. How is a defense NOT supposed to get worn out?
  12. "guts and a fighter attitude"??? Whoa. Someone's been out drinking with their emoticon.
  13. Fitzophiles, and Chan-atics got their just deserts today. Between those two geniuses, we're lucky if we finish 6-10 this year. Fitz IS NOT A LEADER, PEOPLE! If my team was down 28-7 at halftime, I'd be doing more than sitting on the bench with my eyes buried in my beard. -And how about good old Chan? I watched him the whole game, and he did absolutely nothing to rally this team of young men. -Must be what he means by "expecting to win." He just wants a "w", without a fight. GOOD STRATEGY CHAN. If it makes anyone feel better, I wouldn't be shocked iF DC Edwards got canned next week. He's the perfect scapegoat for Chan's TERRIBLE play calling & Fitz's terrible EVERYTHING.
  14. Fitz has a chance to set himself apart from the rest of the field. It's his time to shine. He has it within his power to silence all the critics, and end all the specualtion. Question is, Can he do it? My personal feeling is that he can't. He's too afraid. Afraid of losing, afraid of disappointing Chan, afraid of looking overrated, afraid of getting picked off... Come game day, that big 'ol head of is gets chock-full of nothing but DOUBT. This game's too big for a scared little boy like Fitz. This is the type of game that takes a MAN to win.
  15. Please don't act like we're judging this guy's ability after ONE game. Phils entire body of work throughout his career says "Smart Guy. OK arm. -Bad decision-maker." Along with results, decision-making is what football fans should judge QB's on. The KC game said alot about where this guy's head is at, when it comes time to focus. HINT: It wasn't in the game.
  16. I kinda thought that Last Sunday WAS "this teams defining moment." We had a chance to be all alone at the top of our division, and didn't close them out. All that's left, I think, is damage control. Rex looked like he couldn't believe he initially gave us so much credit. The first thing he probbaly told Rob was "Relax. They're not that good." Rob will no doubt come after Fitz. And Fitz (as always) will retreat behind his beard. They could rack up a half-dozen sacks on us by halftime. Not a pretty picture.
  17. Those twelve-step drops have got to end. That's how we end up with the third-and-thirteens. Fitz has got to learn to stand tall, and throw quickly out of that pocket. Also Fitz has go to get in the habit of making teams PAY for their turnovers. Three-and-outs after Drayton florence INT's are unacceptable.
  18. Chan has numerous priors for this particular offense. It's a horror show every single time.
  19. Hey. All kidding aside, Bryan Cox was a pretty damned decent player. Bet the fins wish they had him now. As for Bart (the human fart) Scott, well, he isn't even fit to hold Cox's jock-strap. That much is certain.
  20. Probably not the LUCKIEST guy to have at a game this big. That said, Norwood is one of us for LIFE. I'll cheer for the guy as loud as I can.
  21. Yah, the wildcat is simply a waste of a down. -Unless, of course, it results in a FIRST down. I look for Brad's contributions to increase as he becomes more familiar with this offense.
  22. Getting your bell rung at 22, would likely convert to a major concussion at 32. At 42 we're talking cerebral hemmorrhage. Sure, Fred is a guy who can take a pounding. Question is how much? I just don't think it's wise to run such a big part of our offense into the ground all season. Share the load. Freddy goes down, and the dream is OVER.
  23. Yah. Can't believe how stressed-out some of us were, over all the guys we offloaded. Seemingly, Chan made some good decisions.
  24. If Freddy was 22 years old, I would love that game plan. Don't know about you, but I hate that sinking feeling that occurs when a valued player is slow to get up from a tackle. Heaven forbid. I'd like Johnny White to share carries, but I'm worried about turnovers. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for "Feeding Freddy", I just don't want to feed Freddy to a riled-up Jets defense. Just wish there was some happy medium.
