  1. No thanks. That's a bit too much thinking for a QB. How about HALF of Fitz's brain. You know, -to go with the other half in V. Young's head.
  2. That is, until Fitz suffers some off-the-wall injury (heaven forbid) and suddenly this fan base has to figure out if V. Young is a guy they can really get behind. IMO it's better to have that ironed out sooner rather than later. Unfortunately, this guys's reputation automatically puts him on a short leash with the fans, as well as with OBD. I'm generally liberal in these matters, but Vince seems to have a knack for doing, and/or saying the wrong thing at the worst possible time. He's easily an upgrade over Thigpen. -There's no doubting that. The question for me is whether or not this is the best situation for a guy like Vince Young to have his last chance. Because from the looks of it, that is exactly what this will be.
  3. Alex Carrington is awesome. Not his fault we had a Garbage DC last season... And even with the crappy coaching he still did well IMO. Can't really think of a knock on the guy. You must must be thinking of someone else.
  4. Did anyone pick up Billy Volek? For an older guy Billy Volek can still play. He is extremely sound in all aspects of his game. I like Volek's style. It's doubtful he'll leave Southern California for Buffalo, but IMO, this guy is a better option than both Thigpen and Corp.
  5. I truly enjoyed watching Tank Carder's efforts on the field as a horned frog. That said, it's a very steep climb from the Mountain West Conference to the pro defensive game. I look at Carder's body of work, and I don't really see a pro translation. I don't see him shedding blockers on blitzes, I see him as being very weak in coverage, and the amount of arm, and toe tackling he's gotten away with at TCU simply wouldn't fly at all in the NFL. He plays hashmark to hashmark but doesn't have tremendous closing speed. This is one of those rare times that I Love the kid, but don't really like the pick. IMO Kuechly was THE guy to take for Mike or SAM linebacker. I still have hopes that Tank Carder will fit in somehow. Of all the 2012 daftees, I believe that Carder and Sanders have the strongest work ethic, and the biggest upside in terms of character. I really hope they both turn out to be ballers.
  6. Must agree here. Erickson seems to care way more about himself than his players. This is going way back to the hurricane days.
  7. We could have even taken Rishard Matthews, but no, We draft a bunch of guys we're not going to pay because they'll never make the team. What a sham.
  8. He's being honest. -Even a bit Kind! I can flat out tell you that we DID NOT close the gap with the Pats this draft. All the know-it-all's on this board assured me that the Pats would surely trade their first two picks. No one thought they'd use them to re-up because the Pats just don't do that. I was VERY skeptical. Lo and behold, the Pats come away with some of the best defensive talent on the board. Three highly touted DE's, and an OLB/DE I can deal with the fact that we have a bad owner. I can deal with the fact that Buddy, and Chan are the best we can afford right now. I can even deal with the fact that the scrub we have at QB is our guy for the forseeable future. What I cannot deal with is people pretending that we haven't been absent from the playoffs for over a decade. Where are all the weapons we were supposed to get for Fitz? Nice goin' on the re-build, Buddy. At this rate, I'll only be 90 before the playoff drought ends.
  9. Hilarious. -When was the last time this organization was able to develop a QB? We can't even develop a guy with nine years experience, a Harvard education, and a perfect wonderlic score! Any FA, or UDFA quarterback we end up taking will need to be damn-near ready to go. -If he's relying on us to develop him, he's already in BIG trouble.
  10. Kuechly would have been worth trading-up to grab. He's a leader, a motivator, and a self-starter. Kuechly would have also helped out alot against the run. But fine, he was out of play. -What about Floyd? what's wrong with having a big, physical reciever to get you tough yards? Can a CB put up points on a regular basis? I think not. 7 out of our 9 picks last draft were defensive, Yet our D still sucked Ly. You need to score points to win games, people. I like the Gilmore kid, but morale on our offense requires the same boost our defense got in the off-season. -IMO buddy has to very aggressive with his next picks.
  11. True, but the Fish and the Jests still totally BLEW their pick. We didn't get Kuechly or Floyd, but at least we didn't take a step backward like they did.
  12. Yah, I also believe that Buddy d#cked the dog on this one. -Don't get me wrong, Gilmore has talent. But taking him tenth overall? How much impact can a rookie corner have on a 6-12 team with one of the worst rated D's last year? Keuchly would have been a much bolder statement. I wasn't really a big Kuechly supporter, but seeing as how both him AND Floyd were just one pick away, I question the wisdom of taking a corner that high.
  13. Don't know about you, but it seemed to me like our GM let us down. I like Gilmore, but I was hoping for much bolder strokes in the first round. I would have been more content with Keuchly or Floyd. How BOTH of those two got away from us is absolutely baffling.
  14. RUSS-ELL WIL-SON! (clap, clap, clap, clap.)
  15. Barbie, if we take the Tan-man while Keuchly, Floyd, or Decastro still on the board, I will toss my new TV out of the window. Ryan Tannehill's presence in any first round conversation is the result of a few team's desperation. Simply put, Tanneyhill isn't first round talent. I know you like the kid, but at #10???
  16. I plan on being there. I've never been to the stick, and I'd like to take a few photos. Unfortunately my wife hates the Bay area, so I'll be going by myself. Like Bart Scott said, CAN'T WAIT!
  17. Groomed by Gailey?!!! Gailey has to show me he knows what the f#@! he's doing before he passes the torch to his flunkie. At this moment in time, I wouldn't let Gailey groom a dead cat. My apologies to all the Chanatics out there.
  18. All I have to say is, Don't be a schmuck, Freddy! Being a class act sometimes works against you. -Just ask Brian Forte. Love your attitude, chief but GET. YOUR. MONEY.
  19. Guy can say what he wants. -Crazy-talk is also protected by the constitution.
  20. Neither. -How about a TERRIBLE strength and conditioning program?
  21. I dunno... I still like the "Tommyknockers" from the Stephen King book. I sure would like it if our D knocked down Tom Brady a few times. -Maybe I just like the erie poem. "Late last night and the night before, Tommyknockers, Tommyknockers, knocking at the door. I want to go out, don't know if I can, 'Cause I'm so afraid of the Tommyknocker man."
  22. I don't think it will be, but if it's Barron, I will truly be disappointed in Bills mnagement.
  23. 50 lashes, and a beer-bottle circumcision. Whether he needs it, or not.
  24. Lifetime Ban from the sport! -Starting 15 years from now!
  25. AS IF you can have one without the other.
