  1. A popular college jock smoking weed? -Omg, That NEVER happens! Sorry, I just don't see the BFD... Never did. I understand that he violated team rules, but to me, this is just another media-driven overreaction to a common personal predicament. Yah, he needs to step away from the bong for a second. However, if this kid is there in the fourth, and we don't take him, It'll be yet another "crying shame" misstep authored by Buddy Nix.
  2. Do they throw in a "mullet" hairdo, and a Sabes jersey? The "look" just isn't right without those two.
  3. I'm just going by what I saw him do in pads... He was a very disruptive player, and affected opposing QB's decisions. He's instinctive, with tremendous anticipation. You can't see any of that chit when a guy is sprinting 40 yards in a jockstrap.
  4. That Margus Hunt is one HUNGRY mother. Whoever drafts him is getting a guy that wants to work. I wish we could draft him and Ansah, then let Mario and Mark try to fight them off.
  5. I just wonder how fast some of these "speed" guys would be in full pads and helmet. Anyone can have a decent 40 time butt naked. I wouldn't be shocked if Teo was faster than some of the better times when suited up.
  6. Oh Puh-leeze! RYAN NASSIB RAN A 5.08! -And he's on OFFENSE, I got no problem whatsoever with 4.8... In fact I think it's GREAT news.. It means we can take a faster LB ahead of Te'o and then scoop him in the second or third! LET"S DO THIS OBD!!!
  7. I think it can make a difference. Long way up, Long way down. That's not an excuse for his chitty performance, but bench may not be the best position for him to show his strength. I played H.S. football with a kid who SUCKED on the bench, but he could still toss a grown man accross a room. Lazy? -Poor work ethic? Not sure I agree with all that.
  8. Hm... He's a very dynamic speedster, but we haven't got a QB to get him the ball. -Besides, isn't he, like 5'7"? Fughettaboutit. Quinton Patton, (This year's T.Y. Hilton) and Aaron Dobson, BOTH GOOD ROUTE RUNNERS maybe take a big kid in very late rounds like Rutgers' Tim Wright. for UDFA, take a flyer on a kid like Stephen F. Austin's Cordell Roberson. Or a promising TE prospect like WKU's Jack Doyle. Why not nvite a whole bunch of UDFA recievers to camp. Not every reciever's game will translate to the pro's, but we gotta re-up our WEAK reciever corp.
  9. Yah, 42 jet right into the arms of a safety! I don't think there's any way Marrone starts Fitz this fall. He'd have to be the stupidest coach on earth. My advice to Marrone: BURN the old playbook, then dump it in the trash along with Fitz's uniform. After that, you may want to start watching all the film you can get of the best team in our division... The road back to the post-season goes through them.
  10. Doesn't matter how high or long they jump.... Fitz will STILL overthrow them by ten Yards... -Marrone can't be serious.
  11. What, no Mant'i Teo? Anyway, I prefer Devonte Holloman at SS over Kenny Vaccaro who I think is somewhat overated. Holloman may not be listed as a safety, but IMO, is an easy transition from LB. Datone is a very interesting prospect, but I doubt we go DE at that pick. Jones' spine issue presents too great of a risk. Every time I try to do a mock, I take Te'o at 8... Over Ogletree and all those guys.
  12. Troy was one of my favorite college teams to watch a few years back. I thought Levi was tough, and could hold his own... Once he was drafted, Levi brown looked very promising in the practices that I saw. I don't believe he got a fair one from Chabuddy.
  13. For the life of me, I don't see ANYTHING in Nassib's game that puts him higher than the 4th round... Sorry, but I see some of the same posters on here who thought Chan could turn this thing around... And we know how that worked out.
  14. I thought he really deserved a chance... he was definitely getting better and Learning. EASILY twice the arm of Aaron Corpse... Gailey sure F___ed a lot of people over to earn Fitz's trust. I'm glad that chit finally caught up with him. He doesn't deserve another job in the NFL.
  15. Seriously, I don't think you need a crystal ball to feel like Buddy & co. are gonna blow the early rounds of the '13 draft. The draft talk and pressers sound the same as the other years they made critical missteps. All that 'some are better that others' talk and 'If we find one that looks good' BS sounds more like were looking for seashells, and not STUDS to take us into the playoffs. I'd like to see us draft weapons in every round, and fill our roster with BPA's. If that means D in rounds 1-3, I prefer that to a QB who isn't the real deal.
  16. IMO, this coaching staff could use a veteran FA. Fitzy is the WORST example of an NFL QB I can think of, and they're going to need clues to put this thing together.
  17. Wow... You really don't understand how it isn't the same thing... Ha! Good for you!
  18. Dramatic, People said stuff like that when I was excited about Kaepernick.... When I called for Gailey's head two seasons ago...When I dissed Fitzy in "11... When I touted Russell Wilson.... When I had raised eyebrows about Wannstedt. Your Asessment let's me know my thinking is right on time... Thanks.
  19. Look again. "Let me say this: I think there's a time that in the era that you're in and the development of your team, there's a time when you can move up a round to take a quarterback," Nix said on WGR-AM, via the Buffalo News. "And I think the time's now for us. "I mean, if a guy's there -- I keep saying that, and there'll be one out there -- if the guy's there, then I think we'll target -- as I've said before -- drafting a good quarterback. We need a good, young quarterback, and we're going to do our best to get him." -Buddy Nix What it boils down to is me not trusting this FO to locate a gem in this year's minefield of busts. IMO, BPA LB will be a more rewarding route. But hey I'm just another pie-hole with an opinion. You should go with the guy that liked TJ Graham over Russell Wilson...
  20. Buddy has stated numerous times that drafting a franchise QB is a high priority. http://profootballta...se-quarterback/ http://www.nfl.com/n...for-qb-in-draft Which I'm agreement with to a large extent. While the final decision is Buddy's, it appears he's leaving the "legwork" to his younger protege Doug Whaley. Recently, some commentary made by Whaley reagarding this year's QB class gave me cause for concern. Whaley Said: “In my opinion it’s basically going to come down to what you value over other things,” Whaley told Buffalobills.com. “All of these guys have a value and some things they do good and some things they don’t do as well. So it’s a matter of what value you put on the quarterback you want to lead your team.” My problem was with the thought process, and fundamental approach. Keep in mind that BUDDY thinks this is THE YEAR to pull the trigger. Buddy said: "Let me say this: I think there's a time that in the era that you're in and the development of your team, there's a time when you can move up a round to take a quarterback," Nix said on WGR-AM, via the Buffalo News. "And I think the time's now for us. "I mean, if a guy's there -- I keep saying that, and there'll be one out there -- if the guy's there, then I think we'll target -- as I've said before -- drafting a good quarterback. We need a good, young quarterback, and we're going to do our best to get him." Based on Buddy's apparent desperation, and Whaley's somewhat optimistic evaluation of this years draft class, I feel we could be in trouble come April. I've watched some of these kids for years at the college level. I see maybe TWO kids there that can turn into anything by 2015/2016. Free agency or trade is the best option to fill this need. I'd rather draft a QB in '14 to be backed-up the playoff defense we draft this April.
  21. Diapers dot com wasn't directed at you. As for LB, WR, OL, -I can live with that. There's deep talent at all of those positions, and we stand a fair chance at upgrading those areas. What I'm against is any trade-off scenarios with this year's SKETCHY QB class. I'd much rather go with your deal in the first three rounds.
  22. Label me as you will. I'm tired of the perpetual BAD decision-making. Sure, we all moan and groan when it happens, but what we don't realize is that it all starts with desperation, trade-offs, and half-assed asessments of critical talent. It starts with statements like the one made by Whaley, which, you could EASILY dub Buddy's southern twang over. Am I overly suspicious? -Perhaps. But I've got reason to be. Delusion-alerts should've gone up with quotes like this regarding Fitz: "We're in with Fitz" "He's not going to struggle. He'll get better, and he's not going to turn the ball over. We've got our quarterback, and we're going to get started in the right direction. We've got to do that, and we know it." http://www.buffaloru...trick-buddy-nix FACT: The Buffalo Bills have the 25th ranked passing offense in the league. -That's bottom-of-the-barrel and illustrates our need for a QB. I get that. However, here's another fact -The Buffalo Bills have the 30th ranked run defense in the NFL. We couldn't shut down a kiddie pool with that line-backing and safety corp. On the bright side, I think Pettine noticed that and petitioned for change. Still, we need to go further. Given the talent, there is a hight chance we MISS at a franchise QB this year. -Defensive backfield players, by contrast, are good, and abundant. Ignoring that fact leads us to repeat the same mistake we made last draft, (not drafting a QB) but this time on the other side of the ball. If we don't grab Wilson, we need the best, and I mean BEST defensive players available to us in the early rounds. Period.
  23. It's not the words that I take issue with, but the thought process they expose. Whaley oversees the college scouting department, and organizes the formation of the draft board. After everything we've been through at the quarterback position, why would this decision come down to "a matter of what value you put on the quarterback you want to lead your team."? How could the value of the Buffalo Bills future franchise QB be something open to interpretation? What other value could it have besides the max? We don't need a kid with a bazooka arm who can't hit the broad side of a barn with it. We don't a statue in the pocket who stares down recievers, then airs it out to a waiting DB. I guess i don't see any confidence that we KNOW what we're looking for when it comes down to this critical piece. There's also no recent history of us turning project kids who do "some things" "good" into playoff calibre QB's.
  24. Here's your link. Hope you find it useful. http://www.diapers.com/cat=Diapering-3?hp=gnew&utm_source=MSN&utm_medium=cpc_D&utm_campaign=Diapers-Generic&utm_content=Diapers-Generic&utm_term=diapers For everyone else....... http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-2/Whaley-QB-will-come-down-to-preferences/8c7fc8c8-dace-4324-b0b8-f1c2553962b4
  25. Russell Wilson. -But that's not the point. The point is, you'll have a hard time finding even a few things that any kid in this QB class is proficient at. Tyler Wilson is the most complete, and he's a project. I expect us to draft potential starters. -Not two, or three year clipboard stands.
