That is gonna be one MEAN TC when it comes to recievers vs. DB's I wonder how the SEA weather is gonna affect Harvin's headache's? -

Thats a fair query first and ten. The truth is I'm not certain WHO paid for those guys help in the off season. -Only that they sought help. Which is admirable regardless of who footed the bill. As for your other comment, I feel as comfortable saying that fitz "resisted instruction", as you do saying. "He gives 100% to the team" and implying that he tried his best. -Point of view I suppose. The end of this article seems propetic. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/08/01/ryan-fitzpatrick-says-mechanical-changes-are-working/ However I prefer the analysis in this one.http://www.footballnation.com/content/the-struggles-ryan-fitzpatrick-buffalo/18702/ Not saying Fitz didn't try at all. Just seems like others in his position tried much harder, and were more dedicated to a meaningful outcome... -

Well, I damn sure wouldn't hang myself over Fitz. I may throw back a few scotches in protest, but that's about it. I had planned to fly back for 2 home games this year, but that WILL NOT be happening if Fitz is the starter. -

Hey, I wish every loser the best once I fire him. -But I DO fire him. Part of being an adult is accepting responsibility for your actions. Part of that responsibility may involve bearing consequences up to, and including condemnation, and/or villification for poor, negligent, or just plain AWFUL performances. Fitz knew his throwing motion was bad. He knew he had accuracy issues...-Why didn't he get his own QB coach and try to improve? He sure had the money... IMO, that's what a TRUE profesional would have done. That woulda been someone who CARED... Someone you could say "gives 100%" Mark Sanchez did it.... Alex Smith did it... Brandon Wedden is doing it as we speak... TRYING to get better. FITZ DID NOTHING OF THE SORT. Instead, he kept taking money, throwing INT's, and growing that disgusting rug on his face. The team had to bring in Dave Lee, and even then the Harvard Brainiac resisted instruction. Leaving the WEAK leadership of Nix/Gailey to settle for Fitz's "improved footwork". I'm not going to rant... I'm not going to say that I wish him ill, because I genuinely do not. I just want his sorry butt off the team by this time next week. CUT FITZ. -

That ratty, booger-infested, stalactite hanging off Fitz's face is no appendage, it's an extension of his inferiority. -That also explains why he gets suckier as the season wears on. -

I don't want to do that at all. I want to remove a gangrenous apendage that threatens the health of the entire body. AKA Ryan Fitzpatrick. -

IMO, David Garrard provides FAR better competition... At 35 he wrestled a job away from a starter, and a talented Rookie. Only thing that shut him down was an injury. Fitz is a PRACTICE SQUAD QB. -And maybe not even that. I don't like the idea of our new-look defense scrimmaging against an immobile, inacurate, noodle-armed, bum. Just one more way this loser hurts the team. -

*Sigh* It's true... Let's hope that when god gave Fitz his brain he left out the horse-sense. -

If Buddy keeps this guy on the roster, I will despise him forever. It will forever identify him as an ignorant, pig-headed, redneck, shmuck. If he pays Fitz 3 million frickin' dollars It will be the biggest mistake we've made since benching flutie in '99 CUT THE GUY. Take the cap hit this year so we can at least MOVE ON. Sometimes that's more important than money. -
Ryan Nassib - QB - Syracuse
#34fan replied to BuffaloBillsForever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There's no worse judge for Nassib that Marrone and/or Hackett. The only know their mediocre college QB. Period. I consider them intelligent men, but DON'T expect them to give a fair report to Nix and Whaley. In fact, I expect their report to be be pretty f_____g biased. Nix wants him at eight, but if he's getting his intel from the same guy who scouted TJ Graham, we're screwed. I wouldn't be surprised if Buddy blew this pick. I have nothing personal against the kid. -But I've watched him play and he's not an NFL starting prospect. -No offense intended to 3rd and 12, -I've watched Nassib for YEARS, and think he could someday be a serviceable backup. -
Troy Smith - QB - Ohio State
#34fan replied to BillsFanForever19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd rather Bring back Vince Young. He prolly doesn't want to come back, but I believe he can still play. I just imagine him with a team like the Browns kicking @ss.. -
Wait a minute, how long was I blacked-out? I must've missed one of the past 3 seasons 'cause I don't remember a time when Fitz has EVER held ANY fort.. In fact, I recall him GIVING UP the fort a few times just last year! Please don't tell me we're doing this again... Please don't tell me you guys are willing to take back the same SKANK hoping she's going to change.... Fitz is absolutely NO GOOD at QB. -He never has been. Any faith you may have in Fitzchumstick is quite literally BLIND. I'm not going down this road anymore. -Get well soon, guys.

When i said "entrenched starter" I was referring to Moore. The job was Moore's to lose, and he did just that. -That's what MIA thought too, until he wowed the S__t out of them! A 34 year old journeyman shouldn't be able to pull a young buck's card like that. Disagree.. If he get's us to the playoffs, while grooming a young (scrub) QB, It'd be worth it. Tha't JMO.. I watched Jax games quite a bit, and noticed how tough Garrard used to play the Colts. -He's still a competitor, and just the type of stopgap leader a team like ours could use. -Might even teach OC Hackett a few things.
-
KR only. Leodis cannot play DB.
-
I can understand why you'd think he was done... I'm just saying "not so fast" DG's last year starting in the league he threw 23 TD's and rushed for five. He's never thrown more that 15 INT's in a season. -Fitz can have that many by November. This is a guy who won the starting job in 2007 over a seemingly entrenched Byron Leftwich. That same year he went 11-5 and made to the playoffs. Last season (at 34) he went to MIA and won the job over a talented rookie and yet ANOTHER entrenched starter. So, I'm not sure what your observations are based on... Are we talking about the same Dave Garrard?
-
I'm In with Garrard. He will EASILY beat out the rookie plus whatever other scrubs are on our roster come September. He won the Job in Miami before getting hurt! Guy makes good decisions and knows how to move the chains in ANY situation. Only question is how much he's got left in the tank. If he stays healthy, and someone else doesn't grab him, that's my guy in FA. On Garrard's WORST day, He is more efficient, makes better decisions, and has (minimum) twice the arm strength of Fitzchumstick. My only knock on Garrard is his age, which brings into question his durability. He's also a consumate PRO... Lotsa good things for a rookie scrub to key in on, and learn from. Even at 35, we can get better production out of him than Fitz. -That's JMWO.

Big fast receivers in the draft

What qualities do you want in our next QB
#34fan replied to Chris in Syracuse's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There's an elusive "Sherriff" quality present in successful pro QB's that I've never been able to quantify. The Sherriff has a need to set things right, lay down the law, and meet out justice... He owns that combination of drive, wisdom, confidence, and unwavering leadership. IMO, It's what separates the Andy Luck's, Russell Wilson's, and RG3's of the world from your Blaine Gabbert's, Jimmy Clausen's and Brady Quinn's. I don't see an abundance of those qualities in this years crop... Next draft, seems more promising. -
How Bad Would It Be For The Bills To Sign Matt Moore,

Sadly, one typo won't bring you any closer to finding a clue. You take a QB early in a draft like this, and you've squandered the pick. -Period. Kids like Glennon, and Nassib, are direct beneficiaries of last year's rookie QB awesomeness... Any other year, those guys would be lucky to go in the third. Envy. That's what's driving our next big mistake. -
Point taken. Got to see a couple SDSU games... Escobar is definitely interesting. Wouldn't pass on Kelce tho if he was still there.

1. C. Barkley - QB, USC; 2. T. Williams - WR, Baylor; 3. K. Greene - OLB, Rutgers; 4. N. Johnson - ILB, AL; 5. L. Pryor - FB, FSU; 6. D. Hopkins - K, FSU; 7. T. Jackson - QB, Sea. Alternates: 3. P. Escobar - TE, SDSU; 4. M. Lattimore - RB, SC. -Rob's house I see you have Charles Barkley and Pablo Escobar in you mock.... Are we drafting for DUI's, or drug busts?
