A. Williams at SS? Me no likey. Stop with the musical chairs already. Why not draft a guy with an impressive body of work specifically for that position... IMO, DJ Swearinger is the best SS prospect in this draft. Better than Vaccaro, or Rambo. I doubt whether Williams can make an impact at this position.

Hm. Wasn't Provo with the Vikes last season? -Anyway, the guy's got great hands. If they're taking Nassib, they'll probably pick up Provo too. Wasn't a great blocker, but he sure can catch.

New uniforms leaked? Have we discussed this already?

Defnitely not lovin' the Ronald Mcdonald socks. -Hope they'e optional. -
I've been following SMU's Margus Hunt and RB Zac line for two seasons now. I remember reading the late-round to UDFA stuff about Hunt before the last college season ended. I felt he was worth a high pick way before his stellar combine, but I guess that's when alot of teams started taking him seriously. -Powell is a kid from a no-name D2 school (Harding University, Searcy AL) who's flying under the radar as a LB/"athlete" because no one is sure what position he can play. He ocaisionally lined up at DE in college, but with relatively diminutive size, that's inconceivable in the pro's. Still, he's got athletic ability, and surprisingly soft hands! Some have him going as high as the 4th, but I don't see how. With 15 TFL last season, I'd say his projection is OLB, SS. Here's some of his stats along with a snippet of his combine film. http://www.nfl.com/d...well?id=2540236 IMO, he's worth a 6th rounder if he's there.

Thankful I had the opportunity to watch, and listen to him. Rest in peace, Pat.

Wow. six weeks ago, there were all manner of knocks on this guy. Lacked technique, too raw, etc... some places had him as a 5th, 6th, even UDFA... I see all thats changed. Good for him! Anyway, if he's gone, I'll take Ty Powell 6'2" 249 OLB out of Harding U. 4.64 speed, 28 bench reps, 37 inch vert, 10.2 broad... Talented athlete. Raw material for Pettine to make something out of.. -Yeesh, Hope he's still there.

You know what... I don't hate it. -Mind you, I don't love it, but I could definitely roll with it. Nassib at 8 will keep me up many, many, nights. Warmack would be the better long-term value IMO... Tell you what... Swap WR Da'Rick Rogers for WR Cobi Hamilton, and FB Lonnie Pryor for DE/OLB Margus Hunt, and I'm down. I've certainly seen way worse mocks on TSW.

Joe B article on why we need to go SS and my response

I see Vaccaro as one of those "meh" Strong safety prospects. He'll be OK, eventually. Perhaps as good as George Wilson when all is said and done. For me, however, he's just not physical enough. Doesn't play with enough attitude. I like the kid. But I like DJ SWEARINGER a WHOLE LOT BETTER. Swearinger is the best of Troy Polomalu and Ed Reed rolled into one. He flies to the ball, and hits like thunder. His ball instincts are prohibitive to any passing game. If we take a strong safety, he should be first on the list. If things go as predicted, he should still be on the board in round 3. This kid would be an impact player from game one, and will help shore up our defensive backfield. -
I watch alot of pac 12 football, and have seen Jordan get stonewalled quite often by TE's, and tackles. He can be a very effective passrusher, but lacks brute force, and is raw technique-wise. I think the kid can do it IF he can keep weight on his frame, and perfects his technique. If the choice is between him and Ansah at 8, -it's Ansah hands down.

[closed]Anyone in favor of a 5th or 6th rd. surprise?

Poor kid can't catch a break. I've seen two of Lattimore's college seasons end with grotesque on-field injury. That's plenty proof for me that he shouldn't be drafted at all. Bring him in. Work him out. If all goes well you can invite him to camp. Beyond that, no guarantees. -

Love to. But can't. UDFA -
Personally, I'd like to see a new logo created. Perhaps a modern variation of the current charging Buffalo... Or a retro red helmet with a white standing Buffalo. To me, the current white hats look timid, neutral, and safe... I prefer a much more aggressive, menacing, and daring design. Let everyone know we're not the same old Bills -At this point, a little psych warfare can't hurt.

Less than 2 weeks till the draft, your pick at #8

No way am I taking a 5'7 reciever at #8... I don't give a damn how fast he is. Cordarelle Patterson is out as well. -IMO, there are better SEC recievers to be had later on. I just finished watching Pats vs Bills, week 4 of last season... People, our linebacking corp is abyssmal. Barnett, Scott, & co couldn't shut down a kiddie pool. Watching Mario get HANDLED by Gronk was also especially painful. Sure, Wanny sucked, but there's no excuse for that. -EVER. I'm still taking Ziggy Ansah if he's there... I trust Pettine to turn all that youth, speed, and muscle into a fearsome pass rusher. If Ziggy's gone, I take E.J. Manuel. He's got the most desirable skill set in this lame QB class... After months of careful consideration, Jarvis Jones is also OUT for me at #8. He's a big injury risk, and he's NOT a hard worker. -Fughettaboutit. -
Waiting for Round 2 worth the risk?

Under Petrino, the hogs were probably the most exciting college offense to watch on Saturdays. Between Wilson, Knile Davis, Chris Gragg, and Cobi Hamilton, there was never a dull moment. -Last season's dropoff can be directly attributed to the HC letdown. I think if a team could reunite Wilson with at least ONE of those weapons, (preferably Hamilton) they'd have something very special on their hands. -

I Gotta Buddy-proof myself against the horror... If we draft a position other than QB at 8, and EJ is gone by 41, then the next choice for QB should be Wilson. Take a gander at this: http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/blog/eye-on-football/22021061/top-qb-guru-tyler-wilson-is-best-passer-in-class-of-2013 Sound credible to you? -

I'm gonna be on my fourth or fifth scotch by the time the eighth pick rolls around. -It should help out, but if it doesn't, remind me of what I did so I can apologize. -

Oh, it's gonna be big-time weird. Personally, I expect to have at least one nervous breakdown, and two, (maybe three) conniptions. Just seems like we never draft weapons to compete in our division. It's like we purposely go out and collect knives to bring to gunfights. Something's gotta give. I concede we have a need at guard, but this IS NOT the year to take one. Not with the solid talent available at OLB/DE, SILB, and WR. If our GM wasn't ignorant, backwards, and, pig-headed, -We'd have the chance to reload our LB and WR corp. However, he's all three, so look for us to go QB, CB, in the early rounds. On the bright side there are lots of hidden gems for day 2 and 3... I think Buddy makes a witless, hair-brained, misstep that ends up working out great for Bills nation. -

If Ziggy Ansah is still there, then I'd pull the trigger on him. If EJ is gone by #41, Tyler Wilson should still be on the board. If Tyler Wilson is gone, then it's BDPA all the way. Then you can start looking for your wideouts in the third. -Aaron Dobson will be there... Cobi Hamilton is grossly underrated, and could be there also. The team I envision is loaded with kids who can actually make plays. Getting sick and tired of these bargain-basement role players. -

We can, but it BETTER be EJ manuel. -If not, what's the point? If Tom Brady is the benchmark of our division, why not find the kid that measures up in terms of upside, and ability. EJ demonstrated his readiness for big games, and high expectations. He didn't shy away from the pressure, or wilt under the hot lights. Overall, this QB class is lame. However, I recognize the one's with the most upside. Put EJ Manuel at the top of that list. -

Excellent! -This calls for a 'lil more Swearinger! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B2klvZNqJg8 Kind of his darker side. Plays with a bit too much enthusiasm at times. Physical, live-wire, guys like this are great for overall team chemistry. -

Okay! Okay! -I may have crossed a line with the "rippling muscle" part, but dang if it ain't true. In fairness, you admit above that you "want him" over Taylor. -I wasn't gonna say anything, but..... Seriously? Six ways to Sunday? -Sounds like somebody needs an "Old Guys Rule" T-Shirt.
