  1. Sure. Except that at the moment, Young appears to be a lunatic, Geno appears to be a primadonna, Sanchez appears to be confused, and Rex appears to be fired. (If the Jets have a losing season) It's shame, because Young's talent is undeniable. Guy's got hands, Speed, -elusivity... It's a terrible, terrible, waste of ability, IMO. That said, I see just one organization CRAZYenough to gamble on a loser likeYoung. Philly. Yup, I can see Chip Kelly rolling those scummy dice at least once. It may never Happen, but that's right about where a kid as F***ed-up as Young should land. Quirky coach... Ex-con QB... Up-tempo offense. Seems like as Good a fit as Young is likely to get.
  2. I doubt he'll do anything that smart with a gun... He's seems like more of a beat-up-his-girlfriend, put-a-gun-to-her-head, police-standoff, suicide-by-cop, type guy. Prison time may be aiming a little high for poor Titus.
  3. From the site, it seems like they changed the "classic" jersey, but not not the on-the-field jersey... Guess we're gonna have to look at those penguin-collars for one more season.
  4. I'm already weaponizing Marquise Goodwin in my head... -Tremendous athlete, first of all.... I'd approach his upgrades with Randall Cobb in mind. I see a seam, jerk-route, end-around type of weapon in this kid. Cobb's hands are an inch bigger, and Cobb played QB in College... But when you look at film of both, you see similar attributes. Goodwin also has a hint of physicality to his running style, which should be exploited. -I see him coming out of the backfield every so often, and helping out on Punt returns. Goodwin will be a tremendous asset if Marrone gets it right.
  5. Kaufman? -He's OK, I guess... Doesn't have the breakaway speed I like in receivers... Didn't see much route running ability.... I can't believe we didn't like SJSU's Ryan Otten. Now THERE'S a passing TE! -That kid is frickin' unbelievable.
  6. I've watched a little too much WASU Cougar football to be taken-in by this kid's Highlight reel! He's bound to have a few good throws in a Mike Leach pass-happy offense. However, the Coug's were 3-9 Pac10 cellar-dwellers last year. If you watch actual games, you see the Jeff Tuel that has an average/weak arm, holds the ball too long, and starts a lot of stalled drives. True, he can sometimes extends plays with his feet, but he was sacked over 30 times last year. (119 times in his NCAA career) -The kid broke his collarbone, re-injured it a couple times, messed up his knee... He's been beat-up alot. Tuel was a decent college athlete, but In the pro's, he'll be routinely walked-down and swung to the turf. -Probably stripped of the football as well. All the footage in the world of him vs. Eastern Washington, and BYU won't change that. He's certainly not the worst I ever saw, but he's not worth hyping-up either. NO on Jeff Tuel. I remain firm on that until he proves me wrong.
  7. Everything about this season comes down to the final roster cut... Some of the guys people are touting will be OFF THIS ROSTER come September. All in all, we got ourselves some good talent in this draft. Still, I don't think we can grade it until we see who's left this fall, and what they're up to. So far, Marrone has rebuffed my cynicism by doing some really cool things. Now I'm focused on how he runs a camp, and his final roster decisions.
  8. Absolute NO to Tuel. -Aaron Corp V2.0 Bray would have been the better project to take IMO.
  9. Todd McShay continues to sound like a jilted woman over this. You don't like the pick. -We get it. Quit stalking our #1 pick, already.
  10. True. -But lining him up as a WR right off the bat? I don't think it's such a great Idea. Why not bring him along like Hester. Put him on KR so we can see what kind of a weapon he is. After that's determined, we can work him into the offense based on his skill set.
  11. Hope he doesn't get hurt, but here's another reason why I feel Austin's "bust" potential is very high. -I'd start him out at KR and see what he does... Then ease him into the receiver position. IMO, this is what should have happened with TJ Graham. College to Pro for the smaller recievers can be a tough transition.
  12. If that's the call, then I support Wilson/Hamilton from ARK... Cobi Hamilton is a TOP reciever in this draft. I expect his production to be insane as a pro.
  13. Okay, I see Barkley was the kid Jaws had as the #8QB -I get these scrub rookies confused sometimes.
  14. If buddy takes a CB high this year, it won't be Millner. It'll probably be NC State's David Amerson. 6'1" 225 4.35 speed.- Kid had an insane amount of Production his junior year... 13 INT's, over forty solo tackles... Kinda disappeared his senior year, tho....
  15. True. But the game isn't too fast for him at all... I'm not a fan of Brady's, but above the neck, he is hard to beat. -Poised, fearless, accountable, and hungry. Worse still, he's durable, and has game-time smarts. Why the f@#*! can't we ever draft anyone like that?!
  16. Nassib busts out early. -He's not that good of an athlete, and the speed of the pro game will be too much for him. -Barkley follows him shortly after for the same reason. Jarvis Jones will be out of comission for most of his short pro career. Barkevious Mingo will eventually turn into a servicable linebacker, but probably won't see too many pro bowls. Ziggy Ansah will be a perennial pro-bowler, as will Margus Hunt. I think Hunt's career will be shorter, but he'll put up some crazy numbers. RPI's QB Mike Hermann, (If given the chance) will shock the football world.
  17. Wow, Jaworski was on ESPN the other day explaining why Barkley wasn't in his top 5. He has Barkley at #8 I think. One of the reasons why was because of the way his passes "flutter" on deep throws. Even if his (very good) recievers caught some of those at the college level, You have to realize that in the pro's, those same passes are INT's or bat-downs. Either way, I'm glad we can at least agree that his arm is suspect.
  18. And how is this supposed to make us more competitive in the AFCE? Barkley has "CAREER BACKUP" written all over him. As well as "DO NOT TOUCH IN ROUND ONE".
  19. Look, I've questioned Barkley's arm since the 2011-12 season, but to hear Ron Jaworski and others on NFL 32 do it, only solidified my opinion. Here's a clip of some other familiar faces questioning his arm. http://espn.go.com/v...clip?id=9134738 Trust me, I'm not alone.
  20. I dunno about HATRED, but I don't like the kid as our future QB. -Barkley simply cannot throw an accurate deep ball. He moves well in the pocket, but is otherwise immobile.. He doesn't always feel pressure coming, and holds onto the ball too long... He may also have a lingering shoulder injury from the last college season... It's obvious to me that we don't have the tools in place to get the most out of a kid as limited as Barkley... it's sounds like a fail from the start. As sketchy as we've been for the past decade, we can't afford to put a QB with such glaring issues under center. -It' like an invitation for opposing defenses to tee off on the guy. Barkley is neither deep-threat, nor running threat. Once you take away his intermediate game we'll be right back where we ended with Fitz, NOT BEING ABLE TO MOVE THE CHAINS, with three-and-outs all f___ing day! I'm saying let's not even go down that f___ed-up road..... Draft a more versatile option at QB! EJ Manuel's game is FAR from complete, but with his athleticism, and arm strength, he can at least give opposing defenders something to respect. -And to me, that's a huge part of competing at the pro level. Even though Kevin Kolb is largely immobile himself, I support his signing because of the invaluable NFL experience he posesses. Kolb has not excelled, but at least he's had the chance to LEARN from pro mistakes. I'd take his knowledge of pro football over some lame, hyped-up, rookie statue any day.
  21. I support the "grown ass man" approach 110% I, for one believe that Tom Brady wakes up sunday morning and DOES say (something like) "I'm about to F___ these mofos up!" -If only to himself, and in his own head... A "grown ass man"-type NFL player NEEDS to have that mentality to be successful. Call it supreme competitiveness, or Killer instinct, -I want that chit in ALL my players, offense or defense. Now, does EJ Manuel have it? -Eeeee....I'm not so sure. I know he's alot closer to it than Ryan Nassib or Matt Barkley. I think EJ and Tyler Wilson are the best of a very weak class. I'll be fine with Either of those two. If the pick was mine, however, I'd Take Ansah. (if he was still there) Chance Warmack seems to be the BPA @ 8 if Ansah is off the board. When it comes to football, BOTH of these kids, are without a doubt "grown ass men"
  22. Quite a few TBD posters have the ability to formulate strong opinons on college players without EVER having watched any of their games! Provo was a stud at the 'Cuse. If he had a better QB, he would have been awesome.
  23. Looks like more speculation on Ryan Nassib's first start. -Can't say I disagree. This should be about right.
