  1. Next Rusell Wilson? LOL. -Probably hasn't been born yet... R-dub was a generational product. We may not see his like for some time. Garropolo is talented, but never won sh#!, in terms of NCAA champioships. The kid nobody knows, -who's perfectly capable being an NFL starter is NDSU's Brock Jensen. Jensen actually WON Garropolo's FCS subdivision THREE TIMES IN A ROW. Knocking off a D1A opponent every year he's been a starter. He's also played in a pro-style sysytem, spending a good deal of time under center, -Where, incidentally, he's looked very, very, sharp. I've posted quite a bit on TBD regarding Jensen if you're up for a quick search. IMO, Jensen is as good as any QB in the draft. -BETTER than some if you ask me. A SOLID late round grab. May even threaten someone if given the opportunity.
  2. We lost Pettine, so we're basically starting over... I'm not happy about that, but hey, it is what it is. Jury is still out on the new guy. After what he did with Suh and Fairley in DET, The Schwartz is gonna have to prove his worth to me.
  3. Dasean is one incredibly gifted knucklehead. I hope he gets along well with RGIII, but I'm not holding out hope. Wonder what DC nightclub he'll be arrested outside of?
  4. I can't do the avatar thing, man, I just can't! -Every thumbnail of JK I see makes me sob like a NINNY! My wife is looking at me like I'm an ALIEN. I must be losing my #!&^ing mind... Anyway, I just want Jim to not suffer anymore.... For all the debate about his personality, the guy was my hero. God bless you, Jim. To me, you were the best.
  5. Wow. Such sad times for this team... Anyway, thank you Ralph. You made the team I love, and for that, I will be forever grateful to you.
  6. I have ZERO interest in Terelle Pryor. Only way he has a chance is if we dump Tuel or Lewis. We need smarts at this position, people. -As well as athleticism. I'd Rather take a chance on a late round prospect. -A kid like NDSU's Brock Jensen is far more deserving of ONE shot that Pryor is of two.
  7. Sounds like a future Seahawk.
  8. No words... I just know I'm pulling for him.
  9. They could do alot worse... Poor guy was run out of town by the voracious NY media machine. I'd rather him NOT be a Bill, but I think he'll do fine elsewhere... Miami?
  10. I'm severely disappointed in HOU for this atrocious signing. Fitz had nothing left two years ago when OBD tried to pay him 60mil... On the bright side, a team needs a veteran scrub for their talented rookie to obliterate during TC... I look for that to happen based on Fitz being the second-worst I ever saw play. (Jamarcus Russell is the first) -Don't think he'll survive the first roster trim-down.
  11. Nope. Too much other good stuff to grab with those high picks. -WR is a priority. Then LB, then T... We can take a chance on a young QB prospect in later rounds... Right now my fave is NDSU's Brock Jensen. He's been a blip on my radar for a couple years... I wasn't sure he could play at the NFL level.... However, the more film I watch on Jensen, the more I feel we should get him in camp. He has accuracy, arm, wheels, and brains. I don't think I need to remind anyone of what happens if EJ goes down.. Sure, the backups we have are capable, but JUST BARELY. Take another QB Doug... But NOT in rounds 1-4. IMO, The kid from NDSU is definitely worthy of a 6th-7th round flier.
  12. After cutting Campbell and Weeden? -I don't think the Browns are that stupid anymore.
  13. The consumate showman. Sad News.
  14. They could freak everybody out and take CJ Mosely. That'd be banannas.
  15. at :58 and :59 he looks to me to be throwing those kids open...Then I see the makings of a pretty decent back-shoulder at 1:08. He throws another kid open at 4:08... Jensen has alot of escapability once his pocket collapses. As for the comment about the ball not having much velocity, it seems to me like he's taking something OFF so he doesn't overthrow his guy. The "competition" thing is a valid argument. My only response is that a guy can only play the teams in front of him. I first saw Jensen a few years back. He seemed very raw, and childlike. Like many of you I was unimpressed. In the past couple of years though, he's improved exponentially. He's much faster than before, (both release and footspeed) Also I never thought he'd be as intuitive as he's turned out to be. Lastly, I LOVE the fact that he's developed a "playoff" personality. -It's something you just cant do at a big D1A school. (Clemson, Notre Dame, etc) Jensen has navigated his way through several postseasons, and "won it all" THREE times in a row! Bottom line: I think a team with serious QB issues like the Vikes could take a chance on this kid. If he makes it to TC, I believe he's a threat to make the team. I dont have any concern about the game being "too fast" for him. -He seems very adaptive. Whatever happens with Brock, I plan on following his (NFL) progress. I'll try to keep you guys in the loop if anything interesting happens.
  16. This is going to be a tough sell... Especially to the "Let EJ grow and develop" crowd on TBD. Hey, for what it's worth, you guys are all 100% right. -For a rookie, playing under a rookie OC calling plays for a ROOKIE HC, Manuel wasn't exactly awful... Heck, at times he looked GREAT out there. I honestly thought he was the best QB of his class, and I still hold to that. Thing is... There's this kid out in Fargo North Dakota... First of all, YES, it's 2A ball team, and NO, the competition isn't up to 1A standards. HOWEVER, They dominated their conference for the past three seasons. National Champs back to back to back Jensen led that team with some of the best stats I've seen from a college QB. -Ever. in 2013 Jensen led the Bison to a perfect 15-0 record. In the last 3 seasons he's lost only twice. (43-2) Fact is, Jensen's won more games than any other QB in NCAA Football Championship Subdivision history. The NDSU Bison has beaten at least one FBS opponent every year he's been a starter. The most recent being Kansas State in a game where Jensen had an eye-popping 70% completion rate! The Wildcat D was stunned as Jensen went 21 for 30, tossed 2 TD's and sprinted for another. Jensen also has plenty of arm. This year he chucked in 34TD's and passed for nearly 2800 yards. At 167.4 his passer rating is comparable to Tajh Boyd's 168.7 Because of his team's variation of a West Coast pro-style offense Jensen also spends a whole bunch of time under center. He seems to have an advanced understanding of coverages , reads ,and protections. That's not just me talking. -QB Guru Steve Calhoun also made that observation. Have a look. http://vikingsterritory.com/2014/nfl-draft-2014/2014-nfl-draft-qb-brock-jensens-winning-ways And now for his measurables: 6'3" 225, 4.76 40 - No combine invite. Most impressive though, is Jensen's vocal, gritty, leadership style. He seems to blossom at crunchtime. Very important for a team trying desperately to change their losing ways... I take Jensen in the 6th-7th if he's around... He should be. As for EJ, I still believe in the guy. -I'm just not very patient. If he isn't the real deal, we need a talented alternative the fans can get behind. Jensen seems to fit the bill(s).
  17. TD is a well-written, well-acted, well-edited, masterpeice... However, It's still my 2nd favorite next to GOT. Honorable mention also goes to "Vikings"... The show is really starting to grow on me. And get this: -None of the cool characters get beheadded once I'm used to them.
  18. Fredex delivers. End transmission.
  19. Or the Jets, or the Dolphins. I was thinking maybe Rams or Steelers would be a good fit.
  20. It's been two seasons, and in that time I've formed the opinion that Nigel Bradham = Not a starter. Lacks footspeed, poor tackler, with zero instincts for the pro game. Not a fan of his at all. -In fact, I expect him to wilt under the pressure of competition in TC... Wasted pick. I'd be shocked if he survives the 53-man cut. Who else was thinking about this guy in the 4th round of the 2012 draft?
  21. Seems awfully short-sighted to deny talented rookies/1st year players a shot. -How in the world can you be sure you're not passing on something great? Having little experience has nothing to do with whether or not a player can or can't (at some point) deliver. What if Duke SHINES under pressure. How would you know if you don't put him under the hot lights and see? -It's a lesson taght by the Russell Wilson's and Colin Kaepernick's of the world. -Gambling on unproven players is a MUST. Plus, how much does a back-to-back 6-10 team have to lose? -All I'm saying is, -Give Duke a Chance.
  22. Neither, really. I was a huge fan of his when he played at Nevada... Very fast, and instinctive player. I gotta think someone else felt that way, or he wouldn't have made the roster. Do you have a problem with a talented player geting a chance? if so, why?
  23. Maybe now Duke Williams will get a shot. -Kid is a stud.
  24. Good eye. Sunseri caught my eye as well. I desperately wanted to be able to say, "This kid has no business playing in the SEC -The game's too fast for him" Thing is, it wasn't. His brother Tino may not have been NFL material, but Vinnie can ball. He's a good tackler, with surprising closing speed. Kid was right at home. Could he work out better than Searcy? -Wouldn't surprise me one bit. 6th to UDFA,,,
