  1. Yah, yah, Everyone's got an Opilio, -and it stinks.
  2. Little disappointed that you misspelled our starting QB's name, but I'll bite. To lead effectively, EJ has to move the chains in all situations... He also NEEDS to make ALL the throws. Even the 50/50 ones through traffic.. He can't screw up. He's gotta be the answer and not the question mark. Walk the walk EJ... There's no other way.
  3. At seventeen bucks a pound, you'd almost HAVE to steal king Crab legs. -Sometimes you just really, really need them. I've been in that situation before. Luckily, I was able to get help.
  4. When it's over, He'll be a shell of his former self.
  5. The whole situation has gone to pot.
  6. Hmm.... Still trying to claw my way through the facts.
  7. Just get Kelvin Benjamin and call it a day! -EJ is already familiar with this kid, he's got great hands, and blocks pretty good for a receiver. Eric Ebron should have stayed a DE. -He's FAR more attractive at that position. 13.5 career sacks?!!! -I'll buy that for a dollar!
  8. At least you admit that he has better hands than Evans. I'm gonna take it a step further and say Bayer's hands are AT LEAST as good as Chandler's. From what I've seen, possibly better. Bayer is a more advanced route runner than Ebron at this stage in their development. Bayer can also make the tough catches that yield critical first downs. The fact that he isn't very fast makes his productivity all the more striking. Filling EJ's plate with all these downfield threats is a terrible mistake IMO. -He NEEDS to get his feet under him first. I think having a reliable, short range, weapon will provide the confidence he needs to move the chains, and eventually take bigger chances as a QB. One more thing... I'm not big on Hondas because of transmission issues I've had with them in the past. (Standard and Automatic) However, If I were choosing a car for an inexperienced driver, I'd pick the Honda all day. They're good on gas, have decent accelaration, relatively low maintenence. (until the tranny craps out.) -Ideally, I'd prefer a midsize Toyota. The performance is MORE than adequate, and the quality, and durability are both outstanding. -They also hold value well, but I digress... The value of a TE, to me, is specifically in their reliability. Can they get you what you need, when you need it? What I've seen of Alex Bayer tells me that he can and will, if given the chance. What I've seen of Ebron tells me that he may, or may not. Ultimately, It seems these racecar type TE's (Gates, Graham) generally do better with more experienced QB's... Why not get EJ something he can actually drive? I mean, -er, use.
  9. I would HATE, HATE, HATE, this pick at 9 or 41 or ANYWHERE... Ebron may be an attractive pick as an athlete, but he is not a reliable, all-weather TE... There are far better prospects available in later rounds. TE Alex Bayer of BGSU is one of the rare finds of this draft... He does not have elite speed, but he does have elite football instincts. Bayer is a big, nimble, solid blocker with great hands, who's great at getting open. -A QB's best friend. Alex Bayer is exactly the type of help EJ needs.
  10. Look. -The fact that Teddy's afraid to throw without girl-gloves on, is a HUGE red flag. I'm really surprised people aren't making a bigger deal about it. Bridgewater's pro day (sans gloves) was flat out ugly. He really struggled getting any kind of directional control with his small, bare, hands...How can a bad-weather team risk a high pick on him ? -Shouldn't happen IMO. He should be on the board as late as the third... I watched Teddy alot at Louisville. I think he's a smart, athletic, QB. Teddy knows when to take chances, and knows when to settle down and play it by the book. He doesn't overwhelm with his arm strength, or leadership ability. While I don't think these flaws preclude any success from Bridgewater as a pro. I think he does need to find the right fit to be successful. Translation: Teams that really, really, need a QB, should pass on Teddy in the first round.
  11. As a teenager in an adult prison, he won't have the privilege of turning down suitors. -I'd send him a tube of vaseline and a towel to bite. Welcome to consequences, young man.
  12. Seriously speaking I just have two... TE Alex Bayer -Bowling Green, and QB Brock Jensen -North Dakota St.
  13. CHI, SD, and HOU in the first 4 weeks is Brutal. MIA will be an improved team as well... The back 9 offers a few breaks, but not many. -CLE got us last year, and now comes armed with our former DC.. OAK will be tough at the black hole whether they take a QB or not...Now more than ever we're going to need coaches WHO CAN GAME-PLAN. Of course they've also gotta be able to make critical adjustments if the plan falls-through... I expect a MUCH better product on the field this year.. I don't wanna see any surprised or dumbfounded looks on the sidelines either.
  14. I concur with giving Ford a mid-round grade. As well as a younger "Carnal Knowledge" Jack Nicholson... I don't think anyone has Richard Gere on their card. -Hope it stays that way too.
  15. Huh? No Steve McQueen, or James Coburn? Hell, I'd take Borgnine over Newman.
  16. I too have high hopes for Summers...I'd like to see him live up to his 3rd and goal potential. I don't know if Hackett can bring it out of him tho...
  17. So because Ralph died, nothing about the team he built should ever change? -And any change that represents a forward-thinking atitude in the organization is somehow an affront to Ralphs life, legacy, and contribution to the NFL as an owner? Oooooookay. And companies that spend tens of millions of dollars marketing, and packaging products are completely misguided in the belief that appearances can impact the perceptions and attitudes that drive the bottom line? Sure.. Keep thinking that. And FYI, I absolutely love the color scheme. Always will. Nevertheless, I, (like many others) enjoy a little variety once in a while. I've even been known to get excited about it ocaisionally. Few things make me happier than a Bills win. I just don't feel I should be bored to death until we become that great superbowl team everyone's dreaming of? I say change it up... The spectre of losing was bad. Now the spectre of death, sickness, and (possible sale of the team) hangs over the fans like a bad smell. -It really, really, couldn't hurt to do something different.. Think about it.
  18. Fine. NOT black then. What about Blue? -A Blue jersey with blue pants, and a blue helmet with a re-vamped logo. I won't accuse anyone of being crotchety, old fashioned, and scared of any change in their sterile environment, but I will say that Bills nation could use something to energize it's fanbase. -Especially with the possibility of new ownership stepping in. Reaching out to a new, younger market may be a good idea. Young people nowadays are so visual. Half their lives are spent scrolling touchscreens of one type or another. -Can we at least give them something interesting to look at? Heaven forbid it generates any excitement, or motivation on the part of a weary, or disinterested fanbase. When the Steelers break out that cartoon, bumble-bee nightmare throwback, its pretty f___g horryfying. Still... It kinda says, we have so much PRIDE in our team, that we can come out here rocking whatever weird pattern we like, and probly still beat your a$$. My point is that for a host of reasons a new uniform variation could be a really good thing at this point in Bills history. We should keep our minds open on the subject.
  19. Two seaons ago the Seahawks hung 50 on us while sporting their "wolf grey" color variation. A little change is good for the spirit sometimes.
  20. LOVE IT! Been stumping for this idea for years now. A blacked-out look would be awesome. I've already seen Bills jerseys in that color. A matte/primer-black helmet with a shale grey embossed logo? -That'd be really cool. Of course, I'd want that to be separate from Ralph's memorial. An RCW patch or helmet sticker would be a classy Idea for that.
  21. Kauf is awesome. Watched him for a few seasons at EWU -Red lava turf gave me migraines, but the kid was worth it. -He has more talent than a guy like Nat Hackett can process. -Simply REFUSES to be outworked. I've never seen anything like him. Period.
  22. Fred Stays. I'm with you on Stevie, and I'd like to add CJ to the 86 list. A trade for both would be Ideal, but unlikely. Stevie's more knucklehead than anything else, and when I compare CJ's numbers to Marshawn's (with Seattle) Frank Gore's and even Chris Johnson's, Spill comes up lame. Freddie IS getting old. However, his work ethic alone is enough to keep him on the team. I'd like to grab a young RB to groom behind him. Ben Malena, and Jeremy Smith, come to mind. Could be just me, but I lose a little more sentimentality with each losing season. I'm ready for us to win! GO BILLS!
  23. I'm becoming more and more at peace with the idea of a franchise tackle at #9. If a kid is truly good enough, then why not? Plus, for a team with needs, and an inexperieced coaching staff, this draft could become a total cluster#$%. -Take the tackle. Then go get your "big threat" receiver. If the staff does their research, it'll be hard to f#@ that combo up. TE can wait. A few solid TE's will be available in later rounds to UDFA. Too high bust potential for Eric Ebron to be taken with our #1 pick.
  24. I like Connor Shaw as well. He's a tough leader. I only question his durability. I could think of worse things to do with a late round pick.
