Where will we finish (record & Division)

It's really looking like four wins tops. Nat Hackett is just garbage... -At least we'll be drafting high next year. -
Buffalo is winning the AFC East Division this year.

Eeeeeee.....With the schedule we got? It'll take an absolute MIRACLE, but I like your enthusiasm... GO BILLS! -
It'd be the smartest move they could make under the circumstances. -It's either that, or get Gragg up to speed. I don't see this coacheing staff being able to do that.
-
No he wasn't. Watkins was an excellent choice. -I'm not sure anyone here has said otherwise. Like I've said many times before, I would have liked for the Bills to have ALSO taken a big, athletic, target. A kid like Bryant may have developed some chemistry with EJ... Your speculation about Easley is intriguing... I thought he could have helped us out last year. Hopefully, they'll find a role for him. Later, dude!

I simply refuse to grasp it, because it's B#*lsh_t! As is this NONSENSE about Dareus and Williams being immune from future arrests. When I said those two could very well spend opening day in jail, I wasn't predicting an outcome based on their current cases. Grown men who make the kind of choices those two make will end up behind bars no matter how good their lawyers are. -#99 getting picked up for drag-racing proved that point. Bottom line: You were optimistic about Marcel's chances, and I wasn't. Sure, fame and money gives some protection from direct legal consequences, but what lawyer can protect these guys from themselves? My time spent in the deep south showed me how weird the appliation of justice can be down there. My research confirmed the disparities I witnessed were genuine. As for the big threat receiver discussion, you'll never convince me that a 6'5" target standing in the end-zone won't help our offense more than a wide open TJ Graham. -Sorry.

It's pretty hilarious how butt-hurt you are over this post. Still, the fact is, sentencing disparities in drug cases was something the state of Alabama had to address. On a personal note, you should probably get out more. Take some fresh air. Talk to people. LOL. NOT what I was saying at all. Not even close. Wow, some of you guys really struggle with context. Anyway since drafting Watkins, and acquiring Williams many of you believe we are "set" at the receiver position. I do not. I wish we had also taken Bryant, Benjamin, or some other big target for a QB that tends to overthrow smaller wideouts. It's how how I feel. There's nothing you can say to change it.

Goodness gracious, you can't even re-hash anything correctly. Please reflect on my original statement: " For all we know Mike Williams could spend opening day in a jail cell next to Marcel Dareus" Shortly after our last exchange Marcel was AGAIN arrested for street racing. You're STILL the only one on earth who thinks these two can't get busted for something again. I'm afraid that's still pretty funny.

I'm not wasting perfectly good hummus on a 40-17 loss.. We gotta score at least 27 for me to break out the good stuff.

The #2 Backup QB spot is up for grabs - who do you want?

It's all or nothing with Tuel... He'll give you a great game one day, then lay eggs the following week. I like Jeff Tuel... I hope he develops... Unfortunately Lewis IS the better athlete. He's actually come thhrough in a pinch, and won us games. There's no debate. Thad Lewis, hands down. -
Dead weight never improves your roster. -Wish English the best tho...
-
I'd really like to be able to say "Might be worth a look. Why not?" -However, the realiity is that he might perform just good enough to peak interest. Maybe even good enough to seduce an inexperienced staff into a short-term commitment. Therein lies the problem. Classic bait and switch/wasted roster spot. English has the moves. Just not the durability.

Oh, HAIL NO! Guy's been hurt since the day he was drafted.... LOVED him at NIU. -Super physical presence. Speed, strength, ability to penetrate, etc. However, as a pro, he's been WORTHLESS. Damaged, expired, and unwanted goods. -Thank you, please drive thru.

Bills Waive WR Roberson, CB Robinson

You're talking about depth, and I'm talking about talent. -Ever see Roberson play? I have. Kid was SOLID at SFA... Tremendous competitor. Looked decent in Browns Pre-seaze too. JMO. -Someone like that should be welcome at TC whether he makes the team or not. Lotta time between now and September... In three months we'll know what all this so-called "depth" is worth. -

Wow. Two really talented kids. Not digging this move at all. -
Man Oh man, I would have loved to see EJ groomed by a guy like Frank Reich. A guy who's actually PLAYED the position, and had modest success with it.... A guy who's been in those pressure situations. -A guy who's made those mistakes. -Why, why, why couldn't we have tapped that resource? EJ has tons of natural talent. unfortunately, mere talent isn't enough. Not-so-secretly I'm hoping Tuel and Lewis really shake his tree during TC. -Let him earn his spot this year.

Fine. But if anything happens to her hip joint, I'm not responsible. -
Nice reel. Brings into sharp focus how great it would have been to have Kiko this season.
-
A no-huddle offense requires a no-huddle QB. EJ hasn't shown he can consistently execute those kind of plays at the pro level. How great would it be if this staff worked on re-establishing the RUN? With all this talk about the NFL turning into a "passing league" a throwback offense might be just what the doctor ordered.
-
How much should EJ play in the preseason?
#34fan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Three series per game, maximum. I'm Far more. interested in what Jeff tuel Thad Lewis, and Dennis Dixon have to offer. Who knows? we could see a QB controversy brewing in week one. -
"The key" to The Bills being in ANY of this season's games will be offense. Period. Moving the chains. Red zone efficiency. Unfortunately EJ Manuel is only a QB and did not create the current playbook. Make NO mistake... This entire #!*&ing season is Nat Hackett's baby.

I'm hoping we bottom out this year: 0-16. Here's why.

I like the Watkins pick as well. Still, I don't believe he can put a team on his shoulders in his rookie season. -Not a team like this one. As it stands now, we have FAR too many question marks on offense. The coordinator, for one. Then there's EJ's suspect knee. We really don't know what we've gotten ourselves into with Mike Williams. And there's no telling how effective Spiller will be this year. I wish someone would start a thread on available HC/OC candidates for this team. That's where this thing is headed, I think. -
I don't see whats' so ridiculous about saying he's one of our teams best players. Considering that he was runner up for DROY, your statement seems more ridiculous. Stil, I've done my share of crazy-talk on this forum so I'll be nice. Suggesting that Spiller with his two touchdowns, or Aaron Williams with his one career INT going into last season are anywhere NEAR the type of impact player Kiko has been is well...(gulp) somewhat uninformed on your part. I'm not sure what you make of the 87 solo tackles, four INT's and two sacks this kid racked up last year, but please consider the fact that he did it as a ROOKIE. A rookie, that by some accounts was playing out of position at MLB. -By any standard, this is a devastating loss for us. A loss compounded by the fact that this season's D was basically Kiko's. -Tweaked to play to his strengths and abilities as an AMAZING playmaker. Sliding him over to "will" leaves him free to do what Kiko does, which is basically EVERYTHING. True, the show must go on, and someone obviously needs to step up. I just can't think of who that could be at this point. Kiko Alonso is one hell of an act to try and follow.
