  1. The Q is a nightmarish environment for a kid to be facing on his first pro start... Absolutely horrific. If Bortles can rally the shaguars to a win there then HE IS, without a doubt, on his way to being something special... People underestimate the effect a real-deal stud QB has on a whole team.... They won't just play.. They'll play FOR HIM. -Both O and D.
  2. NOPE. I expected more from the D last week, but I realize why the Schwartz didn't blitz Rivers that much... The secondary of course, could be better, (Gilmore really sucked) but the guy I REALLY miss out there is KIKO... Not in a gay way or anything, but... nyeah you get me.
  3. Tanneyhill is being dragged through the streets toward the guillotine as we speak... IF he gets the start in London, He'd better not eff up, or it's OFF WITH HIS HEAD! -Done. -Finito. Number 8 will be right back in the mix. The fishies don't sound like they're putting up with the BS this year.
  4. If Fitzchumstick beats us, I'll probablly join the shout box brawl that will likely ensue... -Btw, No chair-throwing this time, gents..
  5. It absolutely DOES.... These are the people charged with turning this thing around... If they didn't understand that completely when they signed up, they're morons. No offense. What exactly are they doing here if they're not trying to fix this?
  6. Sounds great, but there's just one problem.. TJ Graham can't catch a damn thing. Never could. Glad he's finally gone.
  7. Come now, you didn't read the post...
  8. EJ was skull-and-crossbones bad... Not great in other games, but that was OK because the D held... He looked like a rookie starting his first game... It's clear to me that a significant part of this young QB's development has been arrested... I lay that at the feet of Gnat Hackett to stare at... EJ performs inconsistently because Hackett is inconsistent, inexperienced, and doesn't understand how to maximize a young players potential... I heard Teddy Bruschi and others on NFL LIVE echoing my sentiment from a YEAR ago, that a young QB needs a solid TE, (or two) and (mostly) short-yardage, high percentage throws in his playbook... Had EJ's foundation been built correctly in the first place, we wouldn't be having these topics posted... Designed runs, two-tight end sets, and Fred jackson coming out of the backfield should be MOST of what we see.. Slants to Sammy, and deep throws to Goodwin and Woods should be the cake icing rather than our primary mode of offense.. It's ALL screwed up and a$$-backwards... Fifteen years and counting.
  9. Do it... Bench EJ... Fire Hackett.... Do SOMETHING. Let's not lose another year to stubborness and false hopes. "Stay the course" only works when there IS a course... We haven't had one for quite some time now. Today, this team simply DID NOT compete... I realize EJ is young, but he looks like a guy who doesn't want to win bad enough. I like the kid, but he needs to know he isn't the only game in town... Orton may not be great, but he's good enough to give EJ a wake-up call. Fourteen years and counting.... Time to make a move.
  10. Marrone: :"I'll be available for O-line coach in January. -Just sayin'. 'Case you're interested."
  11. I'd really like to see S Duke Williams used in this game. -Very, very, versatsatile athlete, and reliable tackler.
  12. It was a crime scene... Someone shoulda brought the yellow tape...
  13. He's improved under Reich, and Mcoy, no doubt... But didn't fare well in his last trip to the Ralph... We should at least try to take him back to his roots as a turnover machine... Lotsa noise, and white jerseys clawing at that ball... Rattle Rivers early, and we've got a good chance.
  14. Let's HELP him do what he does naturally. -Last three years (2011-present) Rivers has 47 INT's and 21 fumbles... For a starting QB, River's ball security SUCKS. That means D-line shouldn't give up on sacks that easy. At least stick out an arm, and see if we can rip something loose. He's the biggest liability on the field for the Bolts. -Oh yah, and I REALLY don't like the whiny little trash-talker.
  15. Bingo. The Schwartz is definitely suprpassing expectations at this point. I'm looking at Gilmore though, and wondering what he was doing in the offseason. Not impressed with Stephon at all these days.
  16. Your post made me feel dangerously optimistic.... Then I remembered... Fourteen years and counting... Go Bills.
  17. Oh, I'm not devouring the crow tar-tar just yet... This is a team that started 4-0 a few years back, and then IMPLODED like no other team I've sen before or since... What I WILL say is that things went better than expected today. That's the absolute truth. Go Bills.
  18. L - O - frickin' - L Your web of stalkers would get you banned from campus 100/100 times. For the record, I don't rely on intuition... That's YOUR word for it, and it's wrong... if anything, it's more like bird-watching.. it's not about intuition... It's about identification.. -Gotta know what you're looking FOR and AT. There is one CRITICAL characteristic of a good QB, and trust me. it's NOT what you're thinking. -Anyways, keep up the great formulaic work! Gotta love a true scientist. LOL.
  19. For what? -Lightning in a bottle? It's a saying of mine...There is NO stat for STUD. It can't easily be quantified... You know it, when you see it, or you don't.
  20. All the OP is saying is that it has become obvious that certain "intangibles" are worth more in the long run than some "measurables" these LAZY, WORTHLESS, scouts and STUBBORN GM's live and die by.... Time to try a different approach to the drafting process... START with an athletes production, effectiveness, and attitude, and END with all the hearsay, and stopwatch B.S. Here are a few college Athletes, the Bills ought to give FUTURE consideration. Sammy Coates, WR, Auburn Cody Prewitt, LB, Ole Miss Myles Jack, two-way weapon, UCLA Bryce Petty, QB, Baylor Gary Nova, QB, Rutgers Alex Collins, RB, Arkansas Just a few kids that are lookin' promising..... Hopefully we won't miss-out on too many more Marquis players.
  21. We should be asking how much time we're gonna give Marrone, Hackett, and their bulls#!& offense... Let's see how this D performs... I'm almost ready to give Schwartz another chance.
  22. Ah, that was from the ex-fan thread... Fixed.
  23. I understand the frustration that led you to that choice. But... Do you ever feel, I dunno.... DIRTY when you put on Steelers gear? Just a little, even? I wanna take a shower just THINKING about it, -yeeeesh! NO-KAN-DU, my freind... I hope you find peace with your decision. (but you probably won't though)
  24. What Madman thinks Kyle Orton will be better than Manuel??? Every QB in Nat Hackett's system has WILTED so far... Peyton frickin' Manning would SUCK under this OC! As dangerous as it sounds, EJ is going to have to RUN... -Run hard,, run silent, run deep. The sad fact is that NOBODY respects this kids arm. Not even his biggest supporters on this board. EJ needs to establish himself as a running threat before he makes any strides as a passer. A mobile QB provides a dimension that Kyle Orton simply cannot. I like Orton. He can be third string on any team I own .. Still the amount of sacks he takes makes for some UGLY-a$$ football. I'd rather risk seeing EJ tuck that thing and RUN.
