Good guesses here.... Still reads like the roster of a 5-7 win team... No QB... Queston marks at TE and CB... Like us at Safety...LB is OK... DE/OLB looks good.... RB looks like it could be okay.... No fireworks to speak of... 9 W's would be miraculous.

Crystal Ball: Top Prospects for 2016 NFL Draft

Dude... Joey Bosa is an absolute CREATURE... Loads of fun to watch... I see NYG doing whatever it takes to snag him. -
Given Wilson's performance over his first three seasons, there was no point in arguing for NOT being the NFL's highest paid player... It would have been gutless... probably even stupid.... Proven commodities owe it to themselves to see what the market will bear... Guys were actually on here calling him the 10th-12th best QB in the league! Bottom line: -He's making top 3 money.. Egg in the face of those who cosidered him unworthy of occupying such rarified air....

Wonder if anyone's heard anyting about Manhertz or Gray?

This thread is easily worth Russell Wilson-type money. Danke, Astro.

You may have amended this, but these were the latest figures I saw: $31 million to sign, a reduction in base salary in 2015 from $1.54 million to $700,000, $12.342 million in 2016 (includes $840K from his '15 base), $12.6 million in 2017, $15.5 million in 2018 and $17 million in 2019. -Tack on the roughly 6.2 mil in signing bonus for every year on the contract, and he's top 3... (some sites have him higher than big Ben) -Which him and his agent are obviously happy with.... I think it's a significant blow against the "he's not elite" argument... A big passing season would probably put an end to the talk once and for all... Seattle, at least, feels he's right up there with the best QB's in the league, which was all some of us were trying to say... If there was truly no argument for him being worth the richest contract, I don't think he makes out as good as he did... Good for him. The four-year thing was a big stipulation for Wilson's camp http://sports.yahoo.com/news/wilson-seahawks-agree-terms-contract-extension-144717981--nfl.html;_ylt=AwrXnCE1MrxVzDYAFglNbK5_;_ylu=X3oDMTByZDNzZTI1BGNvbG8DZ3ExBHBvcwMyBHZ0aWQDBHNlYwNzYw-- ... Leads me to believe there was even more money on the table if Wilson wanted to stay longer, which he didn't.... Forgoing what could have been a staggering payday for even an even bigger one down the line... Pretty smart.

Bandit you can't write this type of garbage and then accuse SOMEONE ELSE of having a juvenile methodology... It doesn't work... Still, thanks for brilliantly deducing that this isnt a court of law. . No one ever said it was, but I'm glad you brought it up.. To me, this is an opportuity to inform any shmuck who takes it upon himself to opine on another's paycheck (particularly with designs on limiting it) -to have his facts in hand, and be ready to back his statement. I don't think that's asking too much.... Declarations concerning others carry with them an automatic burden of proof.. So please... Skip the sermon, and help YOUR OWN credibility by explaining why specifically Wilson is undeserving in your estimation.... Cite examples of how he fell short of expectations... Why is it so important that Wilson be behind Rogers in terms of pay? I shouldn't, but I'm going to pretend the bolded portion was actually written by a grownup.... On it's face, it's just an utterly moronic statement... I mean seriously, -is Wilson 10, 11, or 12??? Wait... I'm going to take it easy on you, Barley.. -Who's number 8, and 9?
-
Blah, blah, more limp-wristed stuff... Look Bill, When you and J-mo came out and said unilaterally that Wilson did NOT deserve to be the highest paid player in the NFL, that burden of proof shifted to you... That's what you took-on....What's clear after much discussion, is that NEITHER of you are capable of meeting this burden... You failed... That's all... No need to insult the entire board on your way back to the UEFA website... Just go... Go back to what you understand..
-
I see those backpedaling lessons from J-mo are going just fine. Even if he wasn't a turnover machine, Rivers days of productivity in this league are numbered.... Aside from some good timng with his receivers, there's just not much to look forward to in his case... Rivers has some of the poorest throwing mechanics I've seen in an NFL QB. And his javelin-toss seems to be worsening with age... With the exception of '13, he's been AT or NEAR the top of INT's thrown the last four years... And being someone who doesn't like trash-talk, you may want to cover your ears around Phil on game day... -He's one of the most petty, whiny, trash-talking, qb's you'll ever see...
-
You did... They are... And I'm certain you do. More like a FIVE year old who thinks Russel Wilson isn't elite no matter how many championships he wins, but Phil Rivers IS elite no matter how many passes he throws to the opposing team. To his credit, Phil does resemble Peyton Manning, and Aaron Rodgers more than wilson does.
-
Again. -Limp-wristed. For the record Bill, I don't bame you for not knowing what the *&!#% you're talking about... After all, you're new to this sport and your best friend J-mo is a Barbie-collector. (More likely Ken, but that’s another story) Anyway, the fact is that SOMEONE, likely a quarterback, will become the highest paid player in the league... You and J-mo together make the weakest argument possible as to why it shouldn't be Russell Wilson. He doesn't have to be the best QB in the NFL by stats... His team just has to believe he is the most crucial, irreplaceable, part of their well-oiled championsip machine.... In fairness, there must be evidence of the latter, and there's PLENTY, in the form of three consecutive deep playoff runs, two NFC Champioships, and one superbowl ring.... Your need for further substantiation, AND Listening to you heap praises on the interception machine that is Phillip Rivers only crystalizes your primitive understanding of the game, and how it’s played.
-
That's it???? That's you guy's limp-wristed, disgrace of an argument in it's entirety???? -PLEASE SAY IT AIN'T SO..... First of all, thanks for making me spit out a perfectly good gulp of beer... Secondly, Bill, you're going to want to pull J-mo's head out of your lap so he can read this too... Not only does that defense BENEFIT from Russell Wilson... They THRIVE because of what he does, and the WAY he does it... Seattle's defense faces fewer downs because the offense extending their drives for as long as possible... Fourteen defensive drives below the league average is a direct result of two things: 1)A league-low in turnovers per drive and 2) an offense with the second-highest time of possession average (per play) in the league! The fact is that 30 percent of Wilson's rushes produced 1st downs! -Sixty percent of Wilson's 3rd down rushes produced 1st downs! In real time that is a HUGE boost for ANY offense OR defense! Look, I'm going to bed...You two are clearly more interested in standing by each other, than anything to do with actual football... Feel free to put J-mo right back to work, -it's probably what he was born for.
-
But you never sad any of that, right.... The quoted comments above represent the crux of you guy's bulls#!$ argument... Summarized, it's that 'other wildly successful QB's are doing things that Wilson can't, or won't'... Fine! -We get that... However, you tread in murky water by suggestiing that BECAUSE he doesn't do these things, he shouldn't be paid like them (or more than them) for equal or better results... It's a point neither of you EVER make to anyone's satisfaction. As far as the defense is concerned, it's a chicken and egg argument... Would that D. be as effective without the staggering amount of 3rd down conversions Wilson grabs with his feet??? -Would that team be the same in ANY capacity without his stellar work ethic and leadership? -Most reasonable people would doubt both. The only valid question you've raised is whether or not that defense remains top-notch if they let key players walk... It's the only thing worth discussing. The more you dispute Wilson's worth to that team, the more you validate my suspicions of 'not getting it'.

Hottest uni-brow I ever saw... 5-8 beers, and she's doable... won't do much for the Chlamydia tho....
-
Doesn't pass enough? -Wilson is the 6th most sacked QB in the league.... 7th in yardage lost per sack... Every other down the guy is running for his life... Yet he finds ways to finish...#1 player in the league in yards per rushing attempt at 7.2 (2014)... More than Justin Forsett and DeMarco Murray! 106 first downs on foot since entering the leaugue!..... #1 in game-winning drives (3-way tie 2014) These are work-horse numbers, people.. This guy is out there giving all he's got, and getting big-time results... If you aren't willing to pay top $ for that, you probably don't deserve to have it.
-
Let's see.... Cowardly... Backpedaling.... I think I'll add BUTT-HURT to your list of personal attributes.... Anyway, your rancid piehole hasn't produced a single convincing argument against paying Wilson.... Not one. So thanks for the compliment... Btw, I don't blame you for LOVING that thread... I know I do...
-
Why can't you stand on one damn thing you say? Who's cowardly backpedaling mouth did this come out of?: ..... -And here's Gunner Bill's two cents: BOTH of these are detractions, my freind... Semantic ones, but detractions nonetheless... You fundamentally don't understand the value of a QB that can lead you deep into the playoffs. -Never mind one who can win you a couple of superbowls... I wonder how many years you've been watching this sport from over the pond? Your opinion sounds very unqualified.

Do the Bills have a better QB situation than the Pats?
#34fan replied to FireChan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hey Chan, your thread sucks but that's not why I'm here... Just wanted to clarify a little factoid I got wrong in a discusssion with you the other day... Russell Wilson was 10th in total offense out of active starting QB's, NOT 1st like I stated previously..... Still pretty damn good, though.... Anyway, that's all.
