  1. John, our calling card is fifteen years with no playoffs. This is due largely to an inability to draft, sign, or even LOCATE an adequate presence at QB... As a result, some of us have actually forgotten what one looks like. Your willingness to settle for INT-free losses is as stomach-turning as Tyrod's fearful approach to the QB position. Your position on Tyrod is a surprise no one.
  2. And herein lies Tyrod's greatest misconception... He's patially right... If you don't throw at all, It's impossible to throw a pick... However, Tyrod seems to think, that simply not throwing picks makes you a good QB... on that point he is wrong. Young QB's are going to throw picks. Period. I expect, and fully understand that it's a learning process... However, I'm getting more and more put off by Tyrod's reluctance to even let this process BEGIN. -It's cowardice. Plain and simple.. Watkins potential won't be realized while we employ bad coordinators, and QB's afraid to throw him the ball.
  3. Tuel was a better passer than Tyrod too! However, he struggled under a crap OC... Tuel was also suppressed by expectations of our 1st round pick... Tuel was a guy who never really got a significant opportunity. Greg Roman sucks, but Tyrod doesn't help his case with with his poor field vision, and underthrows. I'd expect more from a guy who sat behind Joe Flacco for four years. Oh, Before I forget, You know who else was better than Tyrod? -Thad Lewis!
  4. Better than EJ? -Agreed. Not a long term answer? -Definitely agree. However, Tyrod Taylor is NO LONGER the best QB on the roster.... Josh Johnson is a better passer than both these duds. Mobility isn't a problem for him either... I've been watching this kid since his USD days, and HE HAS THE STUFF....Wanna score points? -Start Josh... Will he throw the ocaisional INT? -Absolutely. However, Johnson has the ability to develop good chemistry with his receivers in a relatively short time... Also, he's not a chickens#!^ when it comes to throwing the ball.
  5. Huh???? Ok, put it this way.... Thursdays game vs. a 5-3 division rival who's 4th ranked defense is #1 against the run will go a LONG way in showing us who Tyrod really is... FWIW, I think we would've beat the Jagoffs in London with TT under center... Thursday will be his toughest test yet.
  6. Special K looks unbelieveable.... Can't wait to see him vs. the jets... Also, i'm stealing your "Smash, n' dash"' phrase... I think it fits #29's style of running perfectly.
  7. The Dullfins are a 24th ranked defense. -29th against the run.... The colts D ranks 27th.... If Tyrod wants to be viewed as legit, he'll have to beat some teams that aren't awful... A win vs. the Jets would be a good start. JMO
  8. TT is better than EJ.... I'll concede that much... I always liked the Tyrod, but still don't see him as a bona fide starter in the NFL... I hope he continues to improve... He's going to NEED TO in order to beat our #1 Draft pick out of the starting QB Job.... We've got four wins. Two of those came by the coachless Dullfins.. Three came by teams that fired their head coach mid-season! Beat somebody, Tyrod... See ya Thursday night!.
  9. If Ryans incompetence, and Roman's cluelessness shine through like I think they will, they may not even finsh this season... The orgnization may, of course, scapegoat Whaley instead, which seems to be the way things are trending... One thing's for sure...if we lose the next two games, there's gonna be major changes.... Rex only gets another season if he pulls this one out.
  10. There's only ONE way to defeat Brady and his cheaters.... I laugh out loud when I hear the rubes say "We gotta blitz the crap outta Brady" This won't work... In fact, ANY "Get Brady" campaign will usually result in failure... That's because NO ONE "gets Brady"... Him, his offensive staff, and HC are beyond being good at what they do... -They're experts... There's only ONE person that can get to Tom Brady, and that's TOM BRADY.. I promise you that this guy DOES NOT enjoy pressure situations... He wilts like a delicate flower under extreme duress, and NEEDS to play with a LEAD in order to do what he does... Because of this, he's perfected the art of SCORING FAST.... Super quick passes to reliable receivers.... He can move the chains at a blistering pace without morale-sapping three-and-outs. Keeping Brady in a close, competitive, game is your BEST chance at beating him. -That means you have to SCORE POINTS... Remember, Tom Brady owes at least part of his reputation to guys like Adam Vinatieri, and Malcolm Butler... Clutch performances by OTHERS have helped TB's "Best Ever' campaign considerably... Bottom Line: If an ofense isn't ready to put up at least 30 vs NE, They've got barely a snowball's chance. Now, could someone please email this to Greg Roman?
  11. One word... CHOICES. Choosing Wrecks Ryan over "The Schwartz" was the worst in a while.... This organization is plagued by them... Don't see anything good happening until the FO starts challenging the status quo.
  12. Red helmet, Blue/white jersey, Red socks... Bring back the '90's, and bring back the wins!
  13. Dingdingding!!!! Tyrod starts, but doesn't use his legs. we lose.. Tyrod starts, becomes the rushing offense, and we probably STILL lose... In this scenario, I start EJ, and allow Tyrod's knee time to heal.... Who knows? -Maybe EJ channels some old FSU swagger, and pulls it out... Bottom line: EJ is expendable, and I'd rather have a healthy Tyrod for the rest of the season...
  14. I want that little Gingy mofo to eat turf EARLY and OFTEN... Even if we lose I want him HIT HARD.... Is that bad?
  15. Fine... Let's give his feet the game ball. D showed up well, I thought. Gilmore even got in on the action.. He's absolutely terrifying when fleeing on foot... Fastest RB on our roster... Also the one most likely to find open space... As a drop back passer he's no bueno unless his target is wide open.. -Provided that he even SEES the open guy... Tyrod's feet must do the talking henceforth... We go nowhere riding his arm.
  16. ...10/17 for 109 yds on the day... Nothing doing the entire first half!..... Once the threat of the run was introduced, -WHOLE DIFFERENT GAME. Less thinking and more running sets up very good things for Tyrod.. By the way, that drop by Harvin in the 3rd was Tyrod's fault
  17. Thigpen shoulda been cut back in TC... Andre Davis was the better wideout, and had KR speed as well.... Dan Carpenter missed a few in MIA too... Probably Not the WORST kicker we could get, but still not that great. More worried about the offense than the ST, to be honest... What's Nick O'leary been up to?... Could he be the 2nd TE for Sunday???
  18. Poor Eldridge... Watching the love of his life get juice-boxed like that ... She was pretty hot, too
  19. Traded! That's right.... Boy, did they ever..
  20. Isn't Philbin the one who cut Vontae Davis??
  21. Oh, I went after him for the fins game too... He left alot of plays on the field, I thought.... The fish are terrible so he looked great at the time.... But pit him (and Roman) against a two-time SB winning coach/QB... Well...You see what happens... Good QB's grab 1st downs whenever possible.... They realize the critical importance of moving the chains... Russell Wilson won an NFC Championship with one of the highest "yards lost per sack" stats in the league... He did it despite losing his pro bowl center, and with no-name, bottom-shelf receivers... He also didn't get to "groom" behind a multi-ringed, perennial pro-bowler like Flacco... Tyrod isn't making the most of his opportunity... I don't see all the throws, and I don't see all the qualities it takes to lead a team to the playoffs.... He's an EXCELLENT backup, and a very good placeholder for the next guy... However, that's it... Excuses won't win us a damn thing.
  22. ONE 1st down in the entire first half... On and off the field before you could blink sometimes OR long fruitless drives... Sure it's Roman... However, it'sTyrod too.... How we don't score on 3rd and goal with such a talented QB is inexcuseable...
  23. It's a scary throw... Tyrod shies awy becasue he doesn't think he'll make it... he's got to stand tall in the pocket and FIT THAT IN... Which is exactly what he won't do.
  24. No.. For an NFL starter it should be expected... once you're wearing that mantle you're the leader of the offense. -Period. It's your'e job to make it work, OR be the stand-in for someone who can... I'm not impressed with Roman... But Tyrod waited too late (yet again) to try and affect the outcome of this game... with his "athleticism".... In so doing, he may have provided the blueprint on how to contain him for the TEN defense next week... This "kid" you describe is no rookie.... He's had two years of grooming behind a superbowl-winning, prolific passer named Joe Flacco... After benching one starter, and dispatching another potential one, I expect better play from someone like that... Waiting to see how our VETERAN "kid' stacks up vs. a REAL "kid" next week ...
  25. I disagree... He struggled from the first snap until the 4th quarter... He seemed very confused at times, and held onto the ball too long... To be fair, That could have been the plays taking too long too develop... But wouldn't you make an adjustment at halftime for that??? Correct me if I'm wrong, but we didn't nake our first trip to the RZ until the third Quarter... That's struggling any way you want to slice it. Two bad ones by Clay.
