  1. Yes, Cardale does the staredown at times... I've seen him make throws I'm sure he wished he could have back, but I think there's something commendable about his lack of hesitation... This kid really wants to sling that ball! I see traits that remind me a little of of David Garrard, -and that gets me really excited about his potential... I hear Jones is here in Cali training with George Whitfield -Not sure how I feel about that.... I'm sure it will improve his footwork, and fine-tune his throwing mechanics. Still, I really wish he could work with an ex-NFL pro like Garrard on decision making, and the finer points of reading defenses... I really can't answer that accurately...He's still a college player, and the pro game is another world.... What it comes down to, IMO, is aptitude... Aptitude is what separates the men from the boys at the QB position... Aptitude supports decision-making in critical situations... Unfortunately, Aptitude is best observed in live-fire scenarios.. Since Jones was not the Starter for most of last season, You'd have to go back to the championship season before....There were many ways Jones' inexperience as a starter could have hurt is team in that NC game... Many chances for him to shrink back from the size of what was in front of him. But Jones didn't. The game wasn't too big for this third-stringer (who should've never seen the field) to not only play, but WIN. -That's a kid I place a priority on when I'm drafting... Especially, if I'm in the market for a franchise QB.
  2. Of all the QB's considered, I keep coming back to two... Kelly, and Cardale... Wentz does NOTHING for me. NDSU has one of the most dynamic offenses in NCAA football... I love watching their games. (albeit against 2nd tier talent)... Wentz excelled in their system, but will struggle mightily as a pro... The kid could burn a hole through receivers with that stare... Once he locks on, he's committed... Wentz protects the football just enough to fend off double-A talent... He'll have to do a lot better at the next level.... Even with the best QB coach availabe he is three years away from being anybody's starter...Brock Jensen was a better NDSU QB than Wentz.. (With a better arm, I might add).... Chad Kelly had some growing up to do, and ended up on the road less traveled.... He made mistakes, and deserves a second chance....I like Kelly's game, He's a risk-taker with a big arm... Still, IMHO he's not mobile or accurate enough to win the start from a guy like Tyrod... For my money the absolute best pick we can make this spring is QB Cardale Jones... Right off the bat, I like how the kid carries himself... The way he speaks, the way he regards his teamates.. Is he raw? absolutely... Still, you can't coach speed, size, or power. Jones has all three... I think scouts will be surprised how quickly he adapts to the pro game... Carson Wentz may be lighting up on some radars, but the third-stringer who took a NC from Marcus Mariota may be the best thing flying under it.
  3. Sounds like we're boned for another two years... New personnel... D will be in a quandary... Players will be unhappy... Locker room will be a barfight... I'm trying my best to be optimistic, but we just don't seem to be coming together the way championship teams do... I doubt that a 4-12 fired HC, and his fired crap DC brother will improve that situation.
  4. I think he's gone within the first twelve picks.... Too much to hope for.... I'd probably wet myself if we pulled the trigger on that Kid.
  5. Cardale. -But not Roman.
  6. Make that 2 tall guys...Hunter Henry, (day 1) and Reggie Diggs. (day 3)
  7. Ding!ding!ding!!!! Not sure if it's the FIRST move I'd make, but it's right up there.. Top 3, for sure. -This S&T staff is JUNK... I've been complaining about them for YEARS.... Key players are always busted-up... -Needs a fresh approach going forward... Bring in a college guy from a top program with a record of maintaining low injuries throughout the season... Hard to make a true playoff run with banged-up guys.
  8. 'Quon Treadwell can't run a route. -Period. He DOES have tremendoust physical ability and a knack for getting open... But this type of raw talent evaporates at the next level... We need a BIG guy that can start in September... For my money, It's Reggie Diggs WR, Richmond.... 6'4" 200lbs of mismatch for smaller defenders.... Not blazingly fast, but Intelligent, and coachable.... For his level, a decent route runner.... He'll do well around guys like Salas, Watkins, and Woods.... That's right, I said SALAS.... Hogan is a great guy... Lotta heart.... Limited ability. -Buh-bye. Diggs is the perfect mid-round get....We need SIZE at WR.... Let's get it RIGHT this offseason, OBD!
  9. Cardale... Hogan... Kelly... Take SOMEBODY... Whatever's left of TT after Sunday's game won't be enough to win 11 or 12 games next season... We need a deliveryman and a big receiver... Of course, a legit OC would be nice, but without those two big pieces, we'll be in the same predicament next year...And the year after.. And the year after that..
  10. FITZ STINKS! -I couldn't wait for us to off-load that scrub.... That said, I find myself sorta rooting for the guy. -Why? Because the Jets did EXACTLY what had to be done to go from 4-12 scrubs to a 10-win season. -Per usual, we did not. Gang green went BIG... As in RECEIVERS to catch Fitzy's wayward balls... Then grabbed top-tier corners for them to practice against. -Steel sharpens steel. At the moment, that D-line is playing out of it's mind.... Poor Tyrod! They're gonna be after his @ss from the FIRST SNAP. -And they'll get him. We need THREE things to turn our fortunes around. 1) A REAL OC.. I truly believe Pep Hamilton copped to something he wasn't entirely responsible for... Another chance with a different team (us) might be just what the doctor ordered... 2) A legit franchise QB prospect... Kevin Hogan or Cardale Jones... I'm done with all this recycling.. 3) A BIG WR to bookend Sammy.. 6'4' or better.... A kid like Richmond's Reggie Diggs would be a promising mid-round pick. -That's it! Three simple changes that would go a long way in ending this drought. -Knowing us, we'll probably take a corner with our first pick
  11. Pavlovian: Classic Russian term for DRAFT CARDALE, AND PASS THE BLEU CHEESE, BRO!
  12. Cardale + Big Receiver + Pep Hamilton = Playoffs. I can't make it any simpler than that.
  13. What's the point of gettting some valuable starter injured playing on SLOP... There no chance at playoffs, so sit everybody, and start the bums...
  14. Schwartz got fired twice in the past 5 years because he's an amazing coach then. And he has some super secret formula of defensive scheme that Rex and Thurman just can't grasp, so he's the only guy that can coach it. Scwartz did an excellent job FOR US as a coordinator... Based solely on that, he should STILL be here... That fat, loudmouth, 4-12, media-whore HC we got was hardly worth parting ways with the quintessential "bird in hand".... And please don't even get me started on Greg "the rotten egg" Roman... What a mistake hiring that guy was. -NO BETTER THAN HACKETT!
  15. Size and experience gives him a ton of versatility when it comes to techniques... Ngata works almost anywhere.
  16. I'm hearing that the Chargers are hard-up for a true NT as well.. If I'm Ngata, I go with the good weather...
  17. In what sweaty, drug-fueled, fantasy is Tyrod anything CLOSE to Seattle's #3??? We had an EXCELLENT defense until Wrecks put his hooks into it... Running off the Schwartz was just ONE bad move in a STRING of TERRIBLE mistakes.. You want to bring in Ngata? -Fine. Draft DE Shaq Lawson? -Ok. While defense wins championships, offense is what wins GAMES. -Which get you to champioships... Those 5 TD's Wilson chucked in last week helped that defense alot. -Why does this team have an aversion to scoring points?????
  18. Fire Roman. Hire Pep. From there it's a straight shot to CARDALE, NY baby! -Whoo hoo!
  19. Both??? -Ngat gonna happen.
  20. Passing on young talent for the allure of a plug n' play vet is such a terrible mistake! Sure I've seen it work out, but when I look at kids like Kelvin Benjamin, Devin Funchess, and ODB, I get Angry with our FO for their team-building philosophy.. VETERANS CANNOT BE MOLDED.. -Their goal is MONEY -Period. They're not here to learn, improve, or even excel... Some guys are just counting the days to the end of their career, and want to get PAID.. Sammy was a very good pick... Now he needs to be paired up with another young stud weapon... I got chided for wanting Martavis Bryant, but the proof is in the pudding... One more year with no playoffs... We also need to buckle down our QB sitch.... 15 years without a viable starter is just unacceptable... Still, it doesn't matter.. If Rex is still here, he'll almost certainly go defense with our first pick... Maybe try to snag Shaq Lawson.... A solid pick, if it happens, but Cardale Jones, plus a big receiver would absolutely send me over the moon.
  21. I like Treadwell alot .... Still, not a good route runner.. JMO... I take Diggs in the 4th or 5th... More size... Better route runner.... Less speed, but I can live with that.
  22. Everyone by now has heard of Ole Miss stud Wideout Laquon Treadwell.... 6'2" 210 , rumored 4.4 speed.. 76 grabs for 1082 yards and 8TD's.... 18 career TD's so far for the rebels. despite suffering a broken leg in 2014, and being, IMO, a mediocre route runner, his strong comeback year, and uncanny ability to find space, AND overpower defenders make this Junior (if he declares) a Bona fide 1st round STUD. However, Two players whose careers I've followed loosely in the beginning have at last collared my attention... One for the 2016 draft, One perhaps for the next. For 2016, my mid-round Bills sleeper pick is WR Reggie Diggs of Richmod... Lemme tell ya... I typically like my pass-catchers big, and at 6'4" 200lb's Diggs fits that part of the profile... But he's more than sheer size... Diggs runs a pretty decent route... What he lacks in speed (rumored 4.65) he makes up for in the finesse department... Not that you'd need a kid that big to have tons of finesse, but it might come in handy for the red zone... In 2014 Diggs college career peaked with 85 grabs for 1157 yards and 7TD's... While taking a step back in 2015, Diggs still caught 66 balls for 901 yards and 5TD's.... I like this kid alot... Might be someone you'd want to google. My next draft stud, possibly for 2017, is a kid that goes completely against my big-target leanings.... At 5'8" 180lbs... Louisiana Tech's Trent Taylor is one of the top college wideouts in the game. -Period. As much as I wanted to believe he had limitations (due to size) , Two years later, I've seen ZERO evidence of that. Taylor is the dictionary definition of SCARY GOOD... Opposing defenses should be asked how they'e like to die....Slot, flat, deep, red zone... Taylor is murder wherever you put him on the field... This circus freak junior hauled in 99 balls this year for 1282 yards, and 9TD's! His career numbers are as follows: 191 catches 2,376 yards, and 20 TD's... Those eclipse Laquon Treadwell's career numbers! -Did I mention that he was only 5'8"! In a rational world a creature like Taylor simply shouldn't exist... "Phenomenal", is the only adjective that sort-of fits. Please keep an eye on this kid.
  23. From day one Ryan cared more about payback for being ousted, than coaching a playoff-bound team.... If the Enemkpali signing didn't tell you that, then making Enempkpali team captain for the Jets game should have.... And if at that point it STILL wasn't clear, then his juvenile celebration after the Jets win should have revealed his true intentions from the beginning... It was only EVER about Rex... That said, I don't think we'll have to fire him in the end... Of course It'd be nice... But I think he'll depart of his own accord... I don't think coaching (alone) gives someone with an ego that big enough TV time... If given the choice, I think Rex opts for a seat in front of a camera at some gullible sports network... But to answer the question of the thread, -which is, "where did it go wrong in 2015".... It went wrong way before that.... How about in 2013 when Buddy drafted an over-hyped QB prospect in a draft chock-full of defensive studs... Datone Jones, Jarvis Jones, Ziggy Ansah, Sheldon Richardson.... You get the point. I supportied the EJ drafting with the understanding that Buddy couldn't be talked down... I also felt (and still do) that EJ was the best QB prospect in an epically LOUSY batch. Sure, I campaigned for "D" until my fingers ached, but Buddy Nix is Buddy Nix... Who knows how far his southern-fried ignorance may have set us back.. The good news is that we have a chance to turn things around in this draft.... No point in further damging our draft position... -We're boned this year... It's time to fail.... Fail for Cardale.
  24. Why not Metz?.... I mean, let's make it an even twenty years for posterity's sake...
  25. So much happening on the field that i don't know where to throw. So I won't. -Tyrod.
