  1. I don't think the OP is saying there's a K worth the risk in EVERY draft... It is a specialty position... Aguayo was a standout, and to TAM was clearly worth taking the chance... Remember, they already have what they feel is the franchise arm... Why not compliment that with a franchise leg?
  2. Kicking the ball ACCURATELY? -From 45+ yards??? Wow.... I couldn't disagree more with this statement.... Peyton Manning, with all his passing records, will still need the occaisional 50+ yarder to win a game... Sea-Bass can get you that... FSU has a history of big-time Legs in the NFL... Sure it's a risk, but if it works out, you won't have to worry about that KEY position for a very long time.
  3. I dunno... Jani-King won some games with that diosaur leg he's got... Even Manning needed Vanderjagt and Vinatieri on his side.
  4. Alright, WHO'S the stripper, and how much money does she want?
  5. Sebastian Janikowski was 100% worth it. -He's deflated more footballs than Tom Brady for sure.
  6. Sounds like something I'd say to somebody I didn't really trust.... Anyway, I've said similar things many times, and the truth was that I was waiting for the right opportunity, and right situation... I'll tell you something else... If you're an NFL GM in need of a HC, those names are 100% for SURE in your hat... Either that, or you suck at what you do... FYI, It's human nature to deflect topics that are very near and dear to us... -Especially if we don't know, (or care for) the people we're talking to. -Just sayin'. Then there's this... http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/05/16/tom-coughlin-wants-back-in-knows-it-may-be-unlikely/
  7. If Wrecks gets less than eight wins, he's toast.... It'll be Tom Coughlin or Lovie Smith replacing him and his unkempt, pot-bellied, brother..
  8. I wonder if this isn't more of a Greg Roman problem... Been watching alot of Brady game footage, and he has tons of plays where he does a two step drop and that ball is outta there... super quick-hit plays... Mostly they work very well... I thought Tyrod could use summa that.
  9. Nice title... Guess I'll go get my Thomas jersey and hari-kiri knife.
  10. Perhaps my math is effed-up, but I have Karlos averaging 5.2 ypc in his last 3 games... Not bad at all.
  11. So wait, -What exactly is our run game without Karlos and Shady?
  12. C'mon people! -This guy is obviously using football to finance his TRACK career... He's fast, fit, and 100% useless.. -Get rid of him!.
  13. Ten wins please.... Oh, and draft TE OJ Howard next may!
  14. Yah, this definitely keeps me up nights... I remember that domestic violence thing when he was at FSU... Hopefully everyone we need keeps it together until January.
  15. So you think once they graduate, they'll be completely off the payroll??? TaaaaHahahahahaha! Heads-up, they now qualify for a RAISE.
  16. Poor-man's version only because of CJ's contract.... Something on the order of 4-year 18 mil, with a 5mil signing bonus,,, 7.5mil guaranteed... Nice money for a RB.
  17. Dude, you have GOT to be the most shameless mis-quoter in the history of this board! -Pretty hilarious actually... Anyway, I get what you're trying to say about Zeke... I'm just saying that until I see the product on the field, -it didn't happen. I see Karlos as a highly productive "bird in the hand"... As we've established, our linebacking corp suffered numerous injuries last season... I'd like to see the more productive members of that unit stay healthy in '16... Whether you feel that's McCoy, or I feel it's Karlos, it's a message to the training and coaching staff, really. If K. Williams can improve his production in a familiar offense, we will be hard to out-score... That's whether Tyrod Improves or not.... Sound blocking plus healthy horses coming out of the backfield.... Even the Ryan Brothers would struggle to screw that up.
  18. As far as I know, Zeke just had the broken wrist... But they're diferent types of backs, aren't they? Zeke was running behind some road-graders at OSU... He was also the best athlete nearly every time he set foot on the field... The concussions AND the knee worry me about karlos... Still, his production was fabulous last year... We have absolutely got to keep him healthy and playing... He could very well be our poor-man's version of CJ Anderson.
  19. I have a sickening feelin that Ryan bros. Barnum and Bailey circus is going to cut him... I hope I'm wrong, but don't see a passrusher that small as their type of player... Too bad, because I happen to think he's a special player.
  20. The point is, you haven't got a point... You have an opinion... A somewhat wacky, and obtuse opinion but no less valid than anyone else's I suppose... I shouldn't, but I'm going to indulge you with a question... WHY?....Why on earth would you make a trade like that? A rookie 5th-rounder named Karlos Williams smashed for seven TD's, and plucked two out of the air... He carried the ball 93 times, and grabbed 25 1st downs... All this for an ad-hoc offense where nobody had any clue what was going to transpire. -Even the offensive coordinator played it by ear... -You'd sell a kid like that out for a shiny unproven prospect? Wow. -I thought Buddy was a lousy GM, but you might have him beat... No GM or head coach backs that trade, and keeps their job for very long afterward. Please explain the merits of this hypothetical trade.
  21. Oh stop! -You do it ALL THE TIME. And by "IT", I mean misconstrue statements... I freely admitted that if they were in the same draft, I'd take Zeke over Karlos... They weren't, and Karlos EXCELLED with us in his first season... No way I'm giving that up for a running back who hasn't played a single down in this league... Throw something else into the pot, and then MAYBE. -Depends on who it is, but back for back? -No way...
  22. Chyeah! ... And that's not saying Zeke should'nt be awesome... It's just that Karlos is a known threat who seems to fit this offense very well.
  23. No... By that logic I would KEEP Karlos Williams in a hypothetical, trade situation with Elliot... That said, If they had been in the same draft, I would have almost certainly opted for Elliot... However, since they were drafted a year apart, I'd stick with the known quantity I have in Williams. And that's the thing about a versatile back like Karlos... Even If Tyrod doesn't improve, we STILL have a chance to play in January if Karlos can fill in the gaps... Even as a change of pace back, he outscored McCoy nearly 2 to 1... I don't know what Tyrod will do... What I do know is that long runs will help out an offense known for NOT throwing the ball a whole lot. It also seems to me that a bruising back with major catch "n" run ability is the ultimate french benefit for a cautious passer like Tyrod. -Just sayin'.
  24. Shaq who? -O'neal? Because the only other Shaq I know of hasn't played a single down in the NFL, or any other pro sport... Karlos hit paydirt on his first carry... After that he just seemed to get BETTER at it... He's displayed Elusivity as a runner. -Soft hands as a receiver. -Reliability as a scorer... -I'd take that ANY DAY over a kid who, while very talented, has zero body of work at this level. The best way to lead is by example... By breaching the goal line at least once in nearly every game he's played, Karlos is setting a standard. -Raising the bar, if you will... He's also putting pressure on the big-talking vets.... That's good... He's not talking about it, he's DOING it. -Can't ask for better leadership than that.
  25. Nothing against the McCoy fans out there, but I'm 100% convinced that Special K's health and participation is KEY to us having any chance at a playoff run this season... Seven rushing, two receiving TD's, and an average of 5.6 yards per carry may not knock your socks off, but when put up against the fact that he only started 3 games, ya gotta be impressed. His production dwarfed that of the highly touted 2nd round rookie Ameer Abdullah, and easily eclipsed that of veteran Lesean "shady" Mcoy... Most importantly though, the leadership (as a scoring threat) that he adds to our backfield is invaluable... I certainly don't get that pre-madonna vibe from this kid at all... Just seems like the lunch-pail, workhorse, team-player, energy that Fredex brought every day.... If I'm the training staff, Karlos Williams' health is a PRIORITY... He is without a doubt our best home run threat if we somehow find ourselves without Sammy. No one knows how Rex and Rob's D will pan out... I billieve Karlos could be the guy that gets critical points and 1st downs in those games that could go either way. VIVA KARLOS! -and GO BILLS!
