Karlos Williams suspended 4 games for substance abuse
#34fan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That we would be starting the first four games of the season without our best back. -
They're the same aren't they? "Reading between the lines", "seeing the writing on the wall, and "seeing the forest through the trees", are three critical updates for the same app... Equals in every way.

Uh.... Sounds like you REALLY need to get some sleep there, buddy... TC's almost here... Pretty soon this barren wasteland will be a distant memory. Catch some Z's... Go Bills. -
Video Breakdown: Greg Roman's Run Concepts

Chris hogan asssigned to block Muhammad Wilkerson... AKA "WORST idea ever". Cool film breakdown. -Thanks! -
Yah, agree to disagree on that one... You have to be an athlete to make some of the catches I saw him make... Guy had a knack for getting separation... but hey, I'll take a hands and position guy, if he can still do it.

MMQB Profile of Marquise Goodwin

Hey, the man wants the Wheaties box.... No problem... Using your day job to finance your dreams is a recuuring theme in american life.... MORE POWER TO HIM.... Now, can we please draft OJ Howard, and end this nightmare! -
Shaq, Reggie and Tyrod - So Stoked
#34fan replied to MarlinTheMagician's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Tyrod is a one, maximum two, trick pony.... I get that he doesn't turn the ball over much, and can take yardage with his feet if possible... Besides that, he's pretty predictable... Our Div. rivals now have a years worth of footage on him, and his tendencies as a starter. -They'll be waiting... I doubt he gets away with the same behavior this season... Oh "his EYES are in the right place"... Terrific. -So are the opposing safety's... Think he'll leave the pocket without a spy on his tail? -Again, doubtful... I'm stoked too, just not about TT... He's clearly earned the crown. -Let's see how long he hangs onto it. -
Who's Your Surprise Starter for 2016?
#34fan replied to hondo in seattle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wow... So, Tebow then?... -That would be a surprise. -
TBH, I was never a Boyd-backer... for the '14 draft I vasciilated between CJ Moseley, and Davante Adams... While Tajh was never "my guy", I thought he had back-up potential... I was surprised to see him out of the league so soon. Pettis is 28 going on 29... Not too old in my book, but I see your point... Dez has the size, but lacks the B_lls to be a dominant receiver... Hard to coach that sort of thing... At BSU Pettis was tough, highly athletic, and didnt seem to mind suicide missions over the middle... Not one of my top five for that draft, but again, I was surprised to see him teamless so soon.

-NEVER! Fair enough.

Three guys... One LAST look before we cast them into the seas of forgetfulness forever... 1. Tajh Boyd. - Not convinced that this guy couldn't play... Surely he could be a competitive camp arm (if in shape).. -Compete for a third spot after EJ is cut, or traded? Didn't do much up in Canada but he sure looked great (at times) during his Clemson career... Just an INVITE, people. -Please. 2. Devin Gardner - The 6'4" former QB/WR made some nice plays at both positions while at Big Blue... You're telling me NOBODY could find a place for this guy? -Not even on a practice squad? We still need a big RZ Target, so how about it? -Just a tryout, for crying out loud.. 3. Austin Pettis - Now this kid I LIKED... 6'3" 205lbs... Stud wideout at Boise State.... 39TD's .... Really dominant kid... One last peek... Is there any hope for this at all?

My apologies to B/R... Glenn Gronkowski looks like cut bait to me. Only one true "Gronk' in that family. -

Oh yes... Hideous, even... Which is why we'll look back at those wins with such fondness -
When we clinch a playoff spot...

If we stomped Belicheat to grab a playoff spot, that MIGHT be a stormable event... Too bad it's impossible this season. -

Which will make it even more surprising. -

Storming the field for a lousy playoff berth? -Be kind of embarassing, but I wouldn't put it past pumped-up fans.... Winning the AFC, and going to a superbowl after 22 years, now THAT would be a stormable event. -

It's gotta be Cardale... GOTTA be... Many here think he's not ready, and they may be right... The question I have is 'How fast can he BE ready?' That's really what all this is about... What person in the history of history was ever 100% ready for anything? Blake Bortles... As highly as some here think of him, won just eight games in two years... Last season he led the league in interceptions... You gonna tell me THAT guy was ready? By contrast Ben Roethlisberger went 13-0 as a starter.. That year he was supposed to sit behind Tommy Maddox and learn... Things changed under the hot lights... I think some get it together quicker than others... If Cardale finds a thing or two he really likes about Roman's offense, the entire process can go MUCH faster. Tyrod is the favorite around here, and he may have earned that... Still, if there's an obvious upgrade anywhere on this team, we shouldn't hesitate to put it out there. -
Cardale Jones is more ready than you think... If Tyrod craps the bed, Mr. Jones will have a case for a week 5 start...

Breaking Down Kolby Listenbee as More than a Deep Threat
#34fan replied to rquinn619's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Reed and Davis are both formidable weapons downfield... I didn't need to mention Jamison Crowder, and Ryan Grant to make the point.... This is a HARD roster to make at WR... Even if Diggs is an excellent prospect, there's a high probability he'll be cut... The bolts cut a UDFA named Wes Welker in 2004... He sure turned out to be worthless... Kurt Warner got cut by the Pack in '94.... James Harrison got cut at least TWICE by the Steelers... Your statement is inaccurate at best. -
Breaking Down Kolby Listenbee as More than a Deep Threat
#34fan replied to rquinn619's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not necessarily true... They may feel like they're set at WR... They may have drafted better immediate options... In the Redskunks case, they already had Desean Jackson and Pierre Garcon. -Then they just drafted Josh Doctson... That's a HARD team to make as a UDFA wideout.. -And I haven't even mentioned Jordan Reed and Vernon Davis. -

That's always the goal if possible... I just think Lewis needs more time... So much so, that he may end up running out of it... Size is just one of the prerequisites to being a big target... You also have to be dominant... Once that ball leaves the QB's hand, it's YOURS by inalienable right... Dominant wide-outs enforce that right with every muscle, bone, and tendon in their body... I've watched much of the available tape on Dez, and I don't see dominance... In college, I saw him out-running, and out-leaping future car salesmen at the D3 level.... With us, i'm not really sure what I saw... It just know it didn't look like a finished professional product....IF Lewis did, in fact, take a step forward, (And I'm not saying he did.) -It had better be a *#ing huge one. -
Dez still has a LOOOOONG way to go.... Greg Salas... -Now that could be our stud wideout in-waiting.... LOVE the way he wrangles-in those contested passes.
