Don't sleep on Glass Goodwin--making a good impression

Somebody who can stay healthy, and catch more than 20 balls in three years. -
Don't sleep on Glass Goodwin--making a good impression
#34fan replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Put it this way.... If Goodwin is still on this roster come September, I KNOW this team isn't serious about making the playoffs. -What's the definition of insanity again? -

5'9" and made of popsicle sticks.... I got nothing against Goodwin, but he HAD his time here, and for whatever reason didn't produce... Color me ready to turn the page. -
YES HE DID... I got a C in typing -thanks!
-
He had a lousy 2013... Caught just over 41% of passes he was targeted on.... Still, for a guy who spent years as a Cleveland Brown, (sucky, non-quarterback-having-team) his catch to target percentage is still 49.8 percent.... To give some perspective, Josh Gordon's is 52.6 percent, and he's a STUD! Little had more than twice as many catches in 2013, than Goodwin had in his entire carreer! -I also havent heard much from Little in the way of injuries.... He's had a healthy career as far as I know.... Sure, his drops as a rookie were atrocious... I think that was largely mental, (and perhaps even optical) So what? Can the track-framed (5'9" 179lb) Goodwin help out in run-blocking? -He better not! We'd fry the batteries on the golf cart constantly picking him up off the field... At 6'2 225lbs, Little was a excellent run-blocker at UNC (a bit heavier back then.) On a run-dependent team like ours, I would d think that would make him more useful.... I've got nothing against Marquise.... I wish him well.... Still, he hasn't served his purpose here at all.... Why not get him paid, and gone so he can win a spot with someone who can use his particular skill set? (whatever that may be.) I'd opt to keep him AND Salas, personally.

Skurski: Projected 53 After the Intra-Squad Scrimmage

I don't care how motivated Goodwin THINKS he is... The reality is that he's had YEARS to show it, and hasn't... What's his excuse going to be this year? Ribs? -Hammy?... Too hot outside to practice? For crying out loud, Poop, or yield the pot to somebody with a hot one coming down... -
So Little doesn't work hard, doesn't show skill, and HAS, in fact broken some of his teammate's Jaws? -Where are your facts to back your statement?
-
Greg Little is the exact type of player Ryan & co. will CUT.... Works hard, shows tremendous skill, but doesn't have a notorious name like 'John Connor', and he hasn't broken any of his teammates jaws. -Lately. Perhaps he'll wise up and get-to-swingin' on somebody!

For a serious playoff run, This regime should do it's best to limit the question marks on offense... Even if Boykin is slower, I'll take his height over Goodwin's speed, perpetual absence, and fragility... Oh, and Major Kudos for incorporating a Denny Green shout-out with your post...Gone too soon for sure. -

Injuries have made his entire career a limited sample size, as far as I'm concerned... Since 2013 he's had a paltry 3TD's and 20 catches for less than 350 yards! What exactly do you see there Big C? -

I'd swap out Boykin for Goodwin at this point.... Marquise can't stay healthy, doesn't catch well away from his body, and can't fight for balls in traffic... LOVE the speed... In the end, however, it's been largely worthless. -CUT! -
And just FYI, the footage of Fitzdipstick's arm from Jets TC seems VERY unremarkable... JMO.... Anything happens to B. Marshall, and his suckiness will be exposed.

Reggie Ragland to have knee surgery; out for season
#34fan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Here's the thing.... if Reggie is a franchise defensive player (I think he is) -A long term anwer at the ILB position, and a LEADER in this front seven, I'm not so sure it's important he be back before the season starts.... If Ragland needs three weeks, I'd have him take 6.... JUST to be sure he's 100 percent, and not out there gimping in any way, shape, or form.... In fainess, I am NUTS about Ragland, -My favorite pick in the draft.... Still, I think it makes good business sense not to rush his recovery... NEXT MAN UP!.... Or, is Rex not that good of a defensive coach? -
Watkins, Little, Woods, and Salas.... Goodwin can go jump hurdles for all I care, and Dez isn't an NFL calibre receiver yet... If we get stronger contributions from the TE position, and increased productivity at QB, that should make a damn decent offense. (Structurally speaking).
-
I'm sure Fitz is gonna throw a bunch of beautiful passes.... To our corners... If history's any indication, Money + accolades = not a very good year for Fitzpicksix.

Look, if OUR team doctors gave the FIRST opinion, a second opinion should be mandatory... Nothing against our team's medical staff, of course... Okay, maybe a little against our team's medical staff... -
In a perfect world? 1. Watkins 2. Little 3. Woods 4. Salas That right there would be KILLER... As much as I'd love to, I can't buy Dez Lewis... IMO, he's another YEAR away from being a legit NFL Starting WR.
-
Salas possesses game-breaking ability... Always has.... Him and Cardale could make a deadly RZ combo if they develop chemistry... Which they should easily be able to do.

Bills' 2016 Training Camp - Day 2
#34fan replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't care how bad he looks on just his second day, -I've seen Fitz look worse... It's all about the pieces surrounding the player... We'll see what develops here. -
Bills' 2016 Training Camp - Day 2
#34fan replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Cardale is in camp with coaches known for making QB's mediocre.... He's gonna have to be strong to develop his own skill set... Rex... Lee... Roman... are all QB killers..., I hope he gets the best of the experience. -
TOD 7/29: Kim Pegula - active owner? Is this good?
#34fan replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There are a couple scenarios where she COULD end up being the sole owner of this franchise within the next 20 years... (None of them good for ole TPegs)... So she might as well get used to it.... More power to her!... Not crazy about what she has to say regarding "continuity" at this point, but hey, She might change her perspective if Rex, Rob, and Doug get to tanking the season really bad. -
Manny Lawson injured before camp - update: back on field!
#34fan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not for nothing, burt Eric Striker is one of the best edge-rushers I've EVER SEEN at the collegiate Level... It would be both a shame, and a smudge on Rex's reputation as a "defensive coach" if he couldn't turn that talent into anything. -
The scariest part of the upcoming 2016 season
#34fan replied to Jobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Oh, I almost forgot... There's something else very, VERY, scary about this upcoming season... That would be facing the Seahawks... AT THEIR HOUSE... If you recall, it didn't go so good last time... And that was in our backyard.... Hope we fare better this year! -
Brady will soon fall off cliff, figuratively
#34fan replied to VinceFerragamo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We're ALL headed for that cliff, Max.... What matters is what we do before we get there.... As much as I love to mock him, Tom Brady has secured his legacy for all time in this league... ALL TIME.... The fact that he needs to fade in order for us to have A CHANCE at winning the AFCE is testimony to his achievements... Will it happen? -Of course. But I'm not holding my breath... Rex's defense is FAR more likely to wane this year, than Tom Brady's skill at the QB position...He's the fiercest competitor in the game. -Point blank. I, for one, hope we can embarass him when he's at his absolute best. (or thinks he is) That, for me, would constitute ultimate victory. GO BILLS! -Let's spank those Patsies! -
Tyrod's snap to release time was the "big, dirty, stat" for me... Longer than any QB in the league... I put a small portion of that on Roman's scheming... He's just way too predictable... We need more quick-hit plays that use the middle of the field... Run a customized variation of the K-gun for Tyrod... Then I'll be impressed.
