  1. It is ok to be Hammer (but not hammered) and run a parking lot. New York employers can fire at will without cause. update - non-union employees, as you pointed out
  2. I would be giddy if you expressed yourself in complete sentences. Why can't some "fans" just enjoy a victory? On one series, the Bills drive was over 80 yards in two plays, and only took 27 seconds off the clock. Why don't we give our defense a chance to catch their breath? We are so stoopid it crives me drazy!
  3. Ain't in it for My Health: A Film About Levon Helm Not a new release, but new to me. I am going to see this at the Eastman House Dryden Theater in Rochester tomorrow night. It is a documentary with Levon Helm, from the Band, after the release of "Dirt Farmer", his first CD after his troubles with throat cancer. http://dryden.eastma...out-levon-helm/ http://www.levonhelmfilm.com/ BTW: Dirt Farmer CD got a Grammy in the Americana category, so he followed it up with Electric Dirt Farmer, LOL.
  4. Could be interesting to watch... I never thought Fitz was a franchise, but he was always a fighter. "Tennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick has said that he is prepared for the challenge of becoming the team's starting option. Fitzpatrick will lead the Titans offense for the remainder of the campaign following an injury to first-choice Jake Locker." http://www.sportsmole.co.uk/american-football/tennessee-titans/news/fitzpatrick-ready-to-lead-titans-offense_117859.html Moderators, please fix topic! Sheesh
  5. I think I will be saying that to my grandsons sometimes!
  6. My father was one of the original founders of the Buffalo Bills Boosters Club, Inc. In my avatar I am wearing his 1961-62 Boosters coat, with the Buffalo Bill Cody logo. I met Tom Day when I was eleven and shook his hand. I grew up with the AFL. As others have said "it is in my blood". Yesterday I felt cursed. \ I will get over it.
  7. The "news" has become so ridiculous, I rely on Stewart and Colbert to keep me informed.
  8. Correction: Jerry Glanville http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-videos/09000d5d8213b6cb/Pick-Six-Glanville-NFL-means-Not-For-Long beat me to it - I was already correcting myself!
  9. One thing is certain. You can agree or disagree with Bill from NYC, but his "random thoughts" generate a LOT of fan reaction and discussion on a wide variety of topics here. Thanks for that, Bill!
  10. I have Taj Mahal CD's going back to the early 70's (when they came out) LOL. I used to sing "Fishin Blues" to each of my kids, and now to my youngest grandchild, to rock them to sleep. Have seen him live about 4 or 5 times at free outdoor shows. You are in for The Real Thing! Favorite song title is "You Ain't No Streetwalker Mama Honey but You Sure Know How to Strut Your Stuff". He did get a Grammy for 'Senor Blues'
  11. We have two urinals and four crappers (two are for handicapped) with about 100 men. It is a call center so we are always fighting a clock. Sometimes the only choice is the crapper. I understand what you say and have asked for more urinals or a trough like the Ralph.
  12. Happy Birthday! Best wishes for a long healthy life blessed by Stromboli and a Bills Super Bowl victory !
  13. You do all know it was a spoof of science fiction B movies, right? In the opening theme (the lips) they make reference to : The Day the Earth Stood Still Flash Gordon The Invisible ManKing Kong It Came from Outer Space Doctor X Forbidden Planet Tarantula The Day of the Triffids Night of the Demon When Worlds Collide I like this movie for about the first 30-45 minutes, and then it is very poor! You really had to see it in a theater, with lip synching fans, slices of toast in the air, 'rain' inside, and all the key "prompts" for audience response. Brad - "***hole" What is really amazing is all the actors / singers who continued on with career: Tim Curry Susan Sarandon Barry Bostwick Meatloaf
  14. Dennis Shaw: 1970 Rookie of the year! Great comparison!
  15. I have not seen enough of EJ to pass judgement. I really hope he gets healthy and can string several consecutive games together so I can see what he is made of. If he cannot stay healthy - that is another conversation entirely. LABillzFan: "batschittmuftherpuckinglooniebin"? I did not know you had met my ex-wife!
  16. I have been feeling the same way. Right now seems rather late 80-ish for the first time in a LONG time. Management, whoever that is, seems to be NOT contented to be mediocre. I hope this is a trend not a burp.
  17. I can't believe fans (not singling you out) are *still* saying that NOT going to see the game live means we have given up on the team. If things were different I would love to be there, and yes - I am only 90 minutes away from the Ralph.
  18. Jim Morrison also died at age 27. Just watched "The Doors" the other night with Val Kilmer. What is a real time-slap for me is that my youngest daughter is 27! Where did the decades go? In 9th grade, I wrote an essay in English poetry, and used "Up From the Skies" from "Axis: Bold as Love".
