  1. In no particular order - I did not see any of these listed: The Who - A Quick One The Band - Music From Big Pink Lou Reed - Transformer Crash Test Dummies - The Ghosts That Haunt Me The Kinks - You Really Got Me Rusted Root - When I Woke
  2. I am absolutely in favor of Rock-woman unions.
  3. I am not torn at all. Responsible people should be allowed to own a gun. I AM ignorant of proper gun handling and use, which is why I do not have one.
  4. All good questions, Guff! I think most people call me Rock because they are lazy. babyrock registered as babyrock; her younger sister registered as pebbles. Why do people call you "Guff"
  5. It is an amusing couple of hours of humor, extending a "used" script. It was a fun escape though. I recommend it for a laugh or three.
  6. U R such an ****.
  7. If he wanted media attention he should have exposed his boob.
  8. You mean Antonio?
  9. Don't feel too sorry for him. The commentators (especially Collingsworth) have been giving him BJs all day!
  10. I am in favor of having the No Fun League loosen up. I was just questioning the consistency of calling a penalty. As far as Moss, he IS a punk. So call me pitiful, I guess.
  11. I used the wrong term, I meant unsportsmanlike conduct. This penalty is one of the most inconsistent calls inthe NFL.
  12. Question - why was there no flag for taunting??
  13. We would not be behind by more than three touchdowns
  14. Bledsoe games AKA dog years. I LOVE watching the veins almost popping through the side of Shanahan's temples.
  15. What I see happening more and more on TSW is thread killing via hijacking a post. If someone does not like a topic for WHATEVER reason, they try to kill it by posting repeated inane replies. In some cases they seem to stalk certain posters, just to toss their cookies on a thread. Suggestion: if you start to read a thread and it is NOT of interest to you, go read something else. Is that so hard?
  16. My son got some over the internet - I think from the Czech Republic. Somewhere buried in TSW past threads is my experience. One shot is OK, then take it VERY slow.
  17. Going into that game the L.A. Rams and Bills were both 4-0. That game was the first in a four game winning streak Reich led, in place of Kelly, who had been injured by the Colts' John Hand. Kelly called out Howard the House (rookie?) Ballard for missing his block and the Bickering Bills were born. I have a poster on my wall of Kelso, Odomes, Conlan, and a #55 Bennett making a tackle on a NY Jets RB #30. Anyone know who #30 on the Jets was around this time? Their web site does not allow roster search by numbers Not Freeman McNeil, was it?
  18. The lousiest weather I remember in a while was in New York City. It was a summer thunderstorm, which was pretty cool to watch coming in, from the top of the Empire State Building. When we got to the sidewalk, the wind was blowing the rain on us. Problem is... in NY the rain comes from a cloud, hits a dirty building roof or ledge or water tower that is covered in dust, dirt, and pigeon sh--. By the time it reaches you it is a bacteria filled drop of mud. I am longing for a nice 24" blizzard to shut almost everything down so I can go cross country skiiing from my garage, across town to Nick Tahous!!
  19. If this were actually true, the Bills would NEVER have "lost" Pete Metzelaars to the expansion Carolina Panthers. He did not want to leave but they never even made him an offer. Who did the Bills go with (I am not sure) - Lonnie Johnson??
  20. Since I have MS, I can get a handicapped sticker. Since I am in remission 99% of the time, it would just be a free parking sticker, so I walk.
  21. ...especially after the beans and rice platter at Manhattan Chili! Is that why all the subway escalators are broken?
  22. My daughters do this when Mom is in the car just to drive her nuts. It is an "in" joke between them to see how long they can circle the store before she says something. I hate it when you are the first car to park in a lot. The next car comes in and parks tight next to you - in an empty parking lot - and then "doors" you. :I starred in Brokeback Mountain:
  23. Yeah, with 11K + posts I will believe that!
  24. I had no middle ground. It was no cigarettes or every cigarette. That was me. Take the pack you threw out and soak it in water, then throw it out again. At first your energy level drops. Keep going to the gym; as your body heals the aerobics will feel good. When I quit I walked on a treadmill a lot and went to usenet groups to spew, vent, rant, rage. If you start again, shake it off and quit again. If you want it, it will eventually work!
  25. Good luck. I smoked for over thirty years and have been free of the addiction for almost ten years now. I do have an occasional cigar - usually at a tailgate - but that is only about 4 a year and not even a habit. The physical addiction was over in 7-10 days. The hard part was psychological. One thing I did was hang a calendar in my office at work that displayed the whole year. Every day I did not smoke I highlighted in yellow. I kept this up for a year; it was a great feeling - watching that white calendar turn yellow as I colored in the days! Another benefit was that I discovered I had money in my pocket at the end of the week! Anyway, I do not judge smokers, because I was one and I know how hard it is to stop. Again, good luck!
