Not to Add Fuel to the Fire This Week but.....
DJasper Probincrux III replied to BRAWNDO's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well, it's either that or the state and county want something really iron clad - including an end to this Toronto nonsense to ensure the team doesnt walk away after they drop 200 million on the stadium. RW would balk at that because it lowers the sale value of the team. -
Who are they other than the same jackasses who got trounced on Sunday, minus two of the ones who could actually play a bit? Is the 1990 Jim Kelly carjacking Marty McFly's DeLorean and stopping by the Ralph on Sunday in #14? Did he wedge the 1990 Bruce next to the flux capacitor and hand him a #94 as well? This season has 2005 written all over it - encouraging things from the year before, dynamic offense, improved defense, arrow seems to be pointing upward....5-11.

Anyone else getting the feeling the gov't is dragging it's feet to see if Wilson will die in the interim? -
Yeah, not funny.

It's a big area in square miles but it's a low number in terms of actual people that live there. More people live in Erie County than in all of South Dakota for example. Here's a question. Why is Buffalo getting Washington/New Orleans instead of Philadelphia/Cleveland OR Atlanta/KC? Cleveland is nearby and is on our schedule and we play KC next week. -

That the Bears are a strong NFC team would give that game more relevance to Redskins fans. The only other NFC choice would be Jacksonville and Minnesota but who in God's name wants that hunk of crap other than the Adrian Peterson fans in Oklahoma. -

League-Wide Cuts Have Started - Non Bills Cuts

It makes me feel good to know that Cpt. Checkdown pulled the pre-season wool over someone else's eyes. The Philly radio guys keep going on and on about how well he played. He was against 3's 4's and 5's the whole time. He threw a HORRIBLE pick 6 that was negated by an unrelated penalty which everyone magically has forgotten. God help them if they think he can play in an actual NFL game and throw further than 4 yards, not because of his arm, because he REFUSES to throw anywhere else! He did it in the PS - 3rd and 8 throws a 4 yd pass. -

IMO, the Bills need to establish consistent pre-season partners. The Eagles ALWAYS play the Jets and Steelers and have now added the Ravens into that mix. No reason the Bills can't make the Browns, Steelers and Lions regular partners. -
"In this league" First of all, what other league could we possibly be talking about? Secondly, it makes the person saying it sound like a pompous ass who in some way knows something you don't because they've played "in this league" and know what others players need to do to be successful "in this league". It pisses me off every time someone says it.

Troup's back isn't going to get better fellas. Back problems don't really go away and when your job is to be a 350 lb forklift that's oddly not good for your back in and of itself. He's done. -

I disagree here - Moats has always had interesting athleticism. They jerked him around last year and finally put him back to OLB where he belongs. If he wins the job in this scheme it's because he's developed some coverage ability. If that happens he is an interesting element at OLB because we know he can rush the QB. He's not big enough to beat OTs consistently but I like the matchup of him vs. a TE or RB and that what he gets as an OLB. He's the kind of LB that you WANT to bring on a blitz because he knows what he's doing and will get there and bring pain. With the DTs we have he will be deadly if sent through the B gap with the DE pushing upfield. -

I don't think they see the situation that way. Donald Jones was emerging last year before he sprained his ankle and I see that continuing. That gives us 4 WRs that are at least decent, not including Hagan who has some pedigree. granted he's been released several times already but WRs are notoriously slow to develop and he wouldn't be the first late bloomer at that position. I wouldn't be shocked to see them scoop a young WR they like who gets cut but I don't see them going the veteran route at that position. Given the amount of 4 and 5 WR sets we use I'd like them to keep more than 6 WRs but that's pretty unlikely.
