Game 1 versus Miami --> defense was good, offense sucked, 6 total 3 and outs. Game 2 versus Green Bay --> champs, offense was not terrible in first half, but they did not have the ball much at all. 13-7 at half, defense held but was truly tired, especially after the WRs messed up in the 2nd half and had two passes stripped from them on plays that should have been completions. Bills gave up on offense and ran the ball. Defense was not terrible even though Green Bay had over 30. Defense kept Bills in the game for a while. Game 3 versus New England --> Bills kicked FGs, Pats scored TDs. Bills had 4 FG attempts and could not score red zone TDs. No shame in letting up points to New England, they scored almost 33 freaking points a game! Not to mention Fitz was outplayed by Brady, Fitz 2 picks, Brady had 0. I can't kill the defense on this game. Bills were in this game. Game 4 versus Jets --> Can't kill the defense here either. Offense sucked. 4 of the first 6 drives were 3 and outs, and 1 of the other we got a first down on first down and then 3 and out, basically 5 of the first 6 drives were 3 and out. If your offense makes your defense play the whole time, they will break down in the 2nd half, and the early second half fumble by Lynch set it over. Bills were in the game at the half, just 17-7 despite the offense sucking horribly, defense was good in the first half. Game 5 versus Jacksonville --> Fitz outplayed again by Garrard. Bills defense and ST gave the Bills 2 early turnovers that the offense turned into a 29 and 22 yard FG. Offense blew a chance to turn Jags into one dimensional passing team but that didn't happen. Bills were up early, they blew it. They had 4 total 3 and outs, and 3 of those in the 2nd half. Bills offense once again puts defense in a bad spot against a run heavy ball control team. This was a joint effort in failure, Bills did not turn the ball over, but had 4 total 3 and outs and scored just 6 points off of 2 turnovers deep in Jags territory and the defense could not stop them, but did get worn down.

Sanchez on NFL Network Last Night
paintmyhouse replied to KOKBILLS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Fine, a strong dislike, just like I don't anyone on the Pats, Phins, and Jets. Doesn't mean I can't recognize their abilities. I thought all Bills fans had hate (sorry, strong dislike) for players on the Jets, Pats and Phins too? -
Fitz does not put the ball into the end zone. That is a lie. Bills had 17.7 points a game. That is 28th in the NFL. I am sick of people only using Fitz's 13 games he played. The 3 games he missed were Phins, Jets, and Packers, he would not have done anything against them either, I have explained this already. Complete lie that he puts the ball into the end zone, he puts the ball mostly into the other team's QBS hands by turning the ball over and leading the Bills to a huge number of 3 and outs. You do realize that when Kelly played the no touch on receivers after 5 yards was not in place. This is just in the last 10 year, maybe sooner. This is a huge rule and there are new rules implemented all the time that help increase QB completion percentage and boost the profile of QBs. There is no way you can compare stats from even 10 years ago really, you compare stats to those of your counterparts and Fitz was just about the lowest rated starting QB in the NFL. Bottom 2 or 3.
-
You said Chiefs have a top tier QB. Not sure about that, but Cassell did only turn the ball over 8 total times in 16 games. That is pretty good. Your QB better either not turn the ball over or be a clutch performer in the 4th quarter. fitz has proven to be very turnover prone and has not any ability to lead his team to wins in the 4th quarter when the Bills were in games, that means he is not clutch. Your whole last paragraph, especially your last sentence clearly shows you have no objectivity when looking at Fitz at all. You said his WRs were all hurt, then said his OC,HC, GM, and defense all stink. Dude you forgot the OLINE, the fans and the ballboys and Fitz's wife for not blowing him more often.
-
@edwards Arm, he never really won games with Tyler Thigpen. Basically the same as Fitz. Chiefs won 1 game he played in. Thigpen, Stewert, Fiedler, Fitz, sounds like a stubborn coach to me. All are average to below average and inaccurate, they all basically have the same stats. You would think Gailey would want someone better. Not one of those guys ever displayed any ability even close to top 15 in the NFL and Fiedler and Stewert had really good defenses too. Fitz gets his receivers killed every single game by his inaccuracy too, I will add.

Sanchez on NFL Network Last Night
paintmyhouse replied to KOKBILLS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
See, Fitz fans are always doing this, making broad assumptions. Seriously, the Jets scored 38 points against the Bills, how can you just leave that game out? Like they would have scored less had Sanchez played? Come on man. Also, like Fitz would have lit up to dramatically increase the Bills scoring in the 3 games he did not play? I mean, Miami game 1 without Fitz Bills had 10 points, with Fitz they had 17. Bills scored 14 against the Jets with Fitz and 7 without Fitz (when Fitz was on a major downwards spiral). Without Fitz the Bills scored 7 against the Super Bowl Champs Green Bay. Like Fitz would have done better. You are clearly not looking at the entire season. -
Sanchez on NFL Network Last Night
paintmyhouse replied to KOKBILLS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sanchez emerged last season as a late in the game clutch performer is most likely why many people believe Sanchez has the tools to make it big time: http://www.pro-football-reference.com/play-index/comeback.cgi?player=SancMa00 Led his team to 4 4th quarter comeback wins and on 6 game winning drives. Yes, Jets have a good defense, but they did need to score enough points to win those games. If you look at the scores of those games, the Jets defense still let up an average of 20 points exactly in those 6 games. Bills scored over 19 points just 4 times. Jets average scoring about 24 points in those games. Take it for what it's worth, he played well down the stretch as his team won games, that is a sign of a winner at the helm. I hate Sanchez but he is clearly better than Ryan Fitzpatrick. -
You keep replying and you keep calling me troll and you keep making yourself look foolish. Fitz apologists love to "leave out that one game". If you want to do that then leave out the Bengals game where the Bills were dreadful, down 31-7 at the half, then the Bengals had their starting CB, both starting safeties (one who had 2 INTs in the first half) and nickel corner all not play for just about the whole 2nd half. 3 of them never came back out of the tunnel. You are wasting your time because you have shown to be poor in debating and only good at name calling. Edwards and Losman actually won more games and both have more 4th quarter comeback wins and game winning drives then Fitz and both have less starts. Fitz might be the least clutch performer as a QB in the NFL ever for the number of starts he has. Go check out the website pro football reference and see his stats on 4th quarter comebacks. That is a mark of a winner, and Fitz is not.

Just got my Bills jersey order
paintmyhouse replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Chinese jerseys are perfectly fine, no difference at all in them. My last order I also got the brand new 3rd jersey from the Sabres, those go for $200 bucks or more, and this was only $36. Got a brand new Blue Jays jersey too, it was perfect, was only $18. My Jim Kelly jersey is of great quality, and it was $16. Great for Christmas shopping too! -
@Harvery Lives crappy post, what in the world is Evans even talking about? We would have been better earlier? Nice excuses Lee. Edwards only played 2 games and there is no way it can be assumed Fitz would have done been better than Edwards did. They played Miami in game 1 and had 10 points. Bills had a chance to win on the last drive. When Fitz played they scored 17 points. Game 2 they had Green Bay, and early on it was a game, until the Bills WRs played like absolute crap. The Bills coaching staff gave up in the 3rd quarter too. They ran the ball too much too. The defense played very well in the first half, Bills were only down 13-7, but the Bills did not get much done against the #1 ranked defense and Super Bowl champs, are you surprised? Game got out of hand when Steve Johnson let Chillar take the ball right out of his hands and it counted as an interception. Later Roscoe Parrish let Burnett take the ball right out his hands when he clearly had the ball and that counted as an interception. I am no Edwards apologist, I am telling you it is silly to believe Fitz is any good at all and would have done any better. As far as better early, Fitz did play better early, then he sucked awfully, worse than Edwards and Losman ever looked in the last 5 games. Part of it if Gailey's fault, he is not a good play caller, never keeps with the running game (even when it is established), part is Fitz is really just a backup QB thrust into the starter role and he just is not capable of the job.

You do realize the defense being a sieve has a lot to do with the inept offense the Bills have not getting first downs and not scoring early and turning the ball over? Come on. Look back at a few games. Jets game one, Bills offense had 3 and out 4 of the first 6 drives, and got a first down on first down and then went 3 and out on the other. Then they turned the ball over early in the second half and the route was on. Bills were 0-10 on 3rd down offense. Yep, defensive sieve, but any team would have been, this was a game at the half. Bills defense and ST gave the Bills an early lead against the Jags but the D wore down against a good running team, that would have been forced to pass had the Bills not kicked 2 short FGs (29 and 22) when the offense was give better than great field position and did nothing at all with the ball. Bills were 3/11 on 3rd down, offense did nothing to help the defense all game long. Bills were killed on TOP by 10 minutes. Fitz was outplayed by Garrard. This was not all on the defense. 2nd half offense was highlighted by 3 straight 3 and outs and then punts when all the defense needed was a few first downs to get some rest against the physical Jags team. You have no clue. A bad defense isn't always just a bad defense, the crap offense sure helps it. I would be willing to bet the Bills were in the top 3 in most 3 and outs. I would bet a lot.

Vote! Dumb beer marketing gimmicks
paintmyhouse replied to Cugalabanza's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I think the Miller Lit campaign is dumb where the one guy just drinks a beer named "Light Beer" and it is not a Miller Lite. Makes no sense. -
You do remember what it was like when the Bills were actually winning, right? Jim Kelly was the QB. HOF. Tom Brady, HOF. I actually like winning. Brady wins. Fitz has not proven any ability to do that. BTW, at Kirwin's article, he obviously just looked at stats and failed to realize what really happened, Fitz got worse. Bad article. Besides, the title of this thread is "this is Fitz's team". If it is the Bills are in deep doodoo for a long time then. This better be Dave Wannstandt's team.

Just got my Bills jersey order
paintmyhouse replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Trying to dump the jerseys before the new ones come out. They are better off just writing this off as a loss and waiting to sell the new ones at full price. If Marcel Dareus would be #99, then maybe buying a Stroud for $10 isn't a bad idea then though. -
Can't say anything, especially if that is his house and at the end of the slide is his super hot wife.
-
Doubt it, unless Colin Cowherd gives her too much crap about it. Beadle has been seen eating and drinking at the Amherst Pizza and Ale with Barnaby, just sitting at the bar there. If she made her way to Buffalo to do that with him she must be in love. Leaving little Bristol to come hang out in Buffalo?
-
They should review all the times last year that they had success running the ball early on and then switched run to shotgun on every single play and ruin any chance of keeping the Bills in the game. They should be completely focusing on how to get Spiller and Jackson and Parrish the ball in space more often. They can't defensive game plan, they have no clue how in shape the guys are or who will be playing, but they do know most of the guys on offense. Gailey was a big time failure last year for being an offensive genius. That crappy 2-14 KC Chiefs team with Tyler Thigpen scored more points a game then the Bills did this past season.
-
I do know better. I have proved it. I showed what happened in comparable games, and also showed statistics of comparable QBs and it is painfully obvious how inadequate Fitz is. I have not even had to call anyone a troll or a douche either, since that clearly would have put me over and made me look much more intelligent if I had. Manning had no WRs either and no OLINE either and no running game too. Colts defense let up 2 less points a game and 20 yards less a game. He got it done. Kyle Orton is easily the best comparison though. No WRs, no running game, and he put up better stats then Fitz did and got benched and likely replaced. Even better is Jacksonville. They let the same amount of points as the Bills, and let up more yards on defense than the Bills, but Garrard got it done and they were playing in what was basically a playoff game in week 16. Yet, THEY DRAFTED A QB IN ROUND 1 TO REPLACE HIM!!! Fitz is no leader. He has less 4th quarter comeback wins and game winning drives than JP Losman and Trent Edwards and Fitz has more career starts. @John, I see you point out Fitz had to play against better blitzing teams at the end like Minnesota, Miami, and New England. Well, Edwards played against Miami and Green Bay and was cut for the same poor play Fitz displayed after it being determined for the 2nd season in a row by 2 coaching staffs that Edwards was better in training camp than Fitz was. It is no shocker that Fitz stinks. Hate the Jets. Hate the Phins. Hate the Patriots. Hate that Fitz is the QB because the Bills that I love have no chance to compete with that guy playing QB.

Torell Troup's Progress
paintmyhouse replied to buffalohotwings's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sure hope we wasn't another waste of a high pick. 2nd round is a very high pick. He was our #1 defensive pick last season. He better make it. -
Kitna had 16 in 9 starts, for a 1.77 TDs a game, Fitz was 23 in 13, for 1.76 a game. Guess they are both awesome. Garrard had 23 TDs in 14 games (basically 13, he went out on the first play in one game), so basically the exact same as Fitz and they traded up to draft a QB in round 1 this season. Orton had 20 TDs in 13 starts, similar to Fitz, less TDs, but turned the ball over 7 less times and averaged 50 yards more passing a game. Shaun Hill had 10 starts and 16 TDs for 1.6 TDs a game. Guess all these guys are pretty good then!!! Fitz is no different and is actually worse of a player then each guy listed above, and all of them, Garrard, Kitna, Orton, and Hill, will be backups by the end of next year. Fitz starting will kill this team. He is awful. You are calling me a troll for giving a QB props for leading his team to Dick Jauron like 13-6 win against the Browns (Browns had late drive stalled for the tie too and Hillis had like 5 fumbles, Fitz 142 yards passing and lost a fumble, which does not count in QB rating but should), and 17-14 against the Phins (they missed 4 FGs that game and had a chance to win late still). He sure led them!!! 30 points in 2 games!! Defense and inept opponents won those 2 games. Please open your eyes. You really just made yourself look foolish by calling me a troll. If you want to give him credit for posting wins then he gets hit for the losses then too.
-
But he did not progress. He got monumentally worse then he already was as the season went on and it is not really even close. He was mercy sat against the Jets in the last game too because of how awful he was playing.
-
He was one of the worst rated starters on a 4 win tea. it was a fair enough statement, it actually gave him too much credit. He is an awful starting QB, one of the worst returning starters in the NFL for teams that have no starting QB competition. Might be the worst. Turnover machine, inaccurate, proven loser, and not clutch at all.
-
That criminal had more success as a Bills player than Fitz could ever dream of.
-
Looking forward to have this guy on the Bills.
