Ok you're right, the head coach totally didn't realize one of his best playmakers wasn't on the field for essentially the second half. You gotta be kidding me. I have never been on an anti marrone kick in the past but he is wrong by what he did and then denied doing here. His history of punishing players and holding grudges (Urbik, williams, etc) is hurting his team. The fact that he denied doing it makes it so much worse than if he would have just said he benched him for repeated unsportsmanlike penalties the last few weeks.

Marrone clearly knew what was happening he is just skirting responsibility for the decision through the media. That is some petty stuff that makes your players lose respect for you.

I argue that that is crap, benching him does more harm than the penalty. It has negative implications for both the game and the chances of re-signing the player. Also he does not need to handle the situation like a 13 year old girl and deny it ever happened in the media.

His personal vendettas getting in the way of his own success similar to the Mike Williams situation and the previous situation with Kraig Urbik When/if Jerry is considering re signing here, marrone is most likely a negative.
