This was my first and last visit to camp this year. Some random observations from today's practice: -Trent Edwards is by far our most accurate passer and it looks to me like the competition is over with -Steve Johnson looks light years ahead of James Hardy -The passing game is struggling because our line is terrible in pass protection, our QB's have mediocre arms, and our secondary is excellent -Aaron Maybin is running with the second team, Chris Ellis and Torbor were with the first team -Torell Troup was fantastic today. So was Kyle Williams. They both made plays in the goal line series, Troup is just bullrushing people (hangartner in particular) and Kyle is making plays in the backfield. -Carrington is huge, did some nice things in one on one pass rush drill, didn't notice him during team -Batten and Easley were among the non-participants -McKelvin continues to struggle catching punts -Freddy Jackson looks great

I'm heading to camp tomorrow and I had the same question! Anyone?!?

Spiller still needs to get to camp because he's going to be running routes just as much as carrying the ball I'd expect.

I forget who said it recently, but it's true. They said Bills fans are extremely optimistic about the unknown, and pessimistic about the known. Who do fans love around here? The unknowns (Steve Johnson, Brohm, Spiller, Easley, etc). Who gets hated on? The known (trent, kelsay, lynch, mitchell, o line). I agree the blind optimism is just as annoying as people who are 100 percent doom and gloom. In the beginning of the offseason everyone is down on our situation, but by the time training camp rolls around, somehow one bills drive convinces the fans that 5th round rookies are the solution and the rest of the league missed the boat by not picking said player up.

He'll play harder because the QB is Carson Palmer. He half asses routes here because he had no faith that 1. the line would hold up and 2. our QB would pull the trigger. Hell, he played harder when Ryan Fitzpatrick was the QB because he knew he would actually try and throw it in there
