  1. Every first time coach and every new guy in personnel is characterized as "well-respected" and "up and coming" in the business. At least publicly. There is so much turnover in the NFL that none of these guys are willing to burn bridges by stating their real opinions in the media, so they just talk each other up.

  3. why do you want john murphys clothes? the guy looks like he smells
  4. Schefter says Miles Austin is a potential cut in Dallas. Good fit in Buffalo? I would imagine he would come cheaper than Bowe/Wallace/Jennings. Good player when healthy Adam Schefter‏@AdamSchefter Most interesting potential salary-cap casualty in coming days: Cowboys WR Miles Austin. Dallas needs cap space and Austin would provide it. Adam Schefter‏@AdamSchefter Cowboys would save $3.6 million against their salary cap if they released WR Miles Austin. The team is roughly $18 million over the cap.
  5. ESPN carried Barkley addressing the media live on TV this afternoon. Well spoken kid. He didn't sound like the stereotypical southern cal bro. I really liked what I heard. Then the interview turned into a Chris Brown long winded question. He wasn't on camera, but I immediately recognized his voice, and when his first question went on for 8 sentences, I knew the scared lemur had struck once again, and this time it was on national television. Then he did it again.
  6. but society tells me all athletes are dumb
  7. Levi Brown? Bad Bad Levi Brown? Baddest Man in the whole damn town?
  8. Why in the world would Flacco come here? He is going to get PAID by the team he just won a Super Bowl with and has spent his whole career with. He's gonna turn that down to get paid in.....Buffalo....?
  9. Thank you, it seems people who don't watch much college football think this guy is a dual threat. He really is not much of a runner at all.
  10. Guy has made little to no plays in two years....blaming that on coaching is a cop out
  11. Welker is aging and a free agent. He is going to get paid too. Harvin is better. If you have to pay one of em pay Harvin. easy decision
  12. he will be a patriot replacement and improvement over welker or he will go to a spread option team and have a chance to run the ball more like he did at florida
  13. Byrd is the better investment. Younger, durable, productive in the pass and run game. Landry can be a liability in coverage and has real durability issues
  14. I get what you're saying but free agency doesnt even start for another month. You will start seeing guys re-sign in early march right before they hit the open market on March 12ish
  15. landry is a free agent
  16. Testaverde is still questionable with the dreaded "general soreness" injury
  17. this is one of the most overrated things in the NFL
  18. I'm guessing the Bills got some news regarding his undisclosed medical condition and decided to say farewell rather than enter a new agreement with him
  19. I was in the same boat. Loved Cam, unsure on Kaep. They are certainly the best two quarterbacks to come out that season. But remember, Kaep has only started 10 or 11 games (I think that may haunt him in the big game tonight). He could certainly hit that sophomore slump once teams figure him out a bit. Sorry if my comment hijacks this into a EJ Manuel thread, but Manuel has been a guy labeled as a "breakout candidate" the last two years in college and it never materialized. Inconsistent thrower, comes up small in big games, and he is a capable but not dynamic runner. I just don't see it breaking out in the NFL when it never did in college.
  20. Pettine being hired and Nix keeping his job were both good news for Merrimans prospects of being here next season. Anyone know if he is under contract for 2013?
  21. he is full of crap and just trying to be cool. I have seen him tweet about hitting the gym, running, catching balls, etc in the offseason

  23. Russ Brandon's big marketing ploy for 2013 is to "nix" the shout song and replace it with....
  24. because of the scoreboard
